The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is offering a $10 million grant to tribal nations and local governmental units in Minnesota for projects aimed at preparing local wastewater infrastructure for climate change impacts, with a focus on protecting water quality, increasing resilience, and promoting energy and water efficiency.

In September 2022, the U.S. Departments of Energy, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and the Environmental Protection Agency executed an historic memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the signatory agencies to accelerate our nations affordable and equitable clean transportation future.1 As a result of the comprehensive decarbonization strategy called for in the MOU, those agencies issued the U.S. National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonization, which set the goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in the transportation sector including off-road equipment by 20502. The Transition to net-zero emission technologies requires coordination among all aspects of the supply chain, including feedstock supply, alternative fuel production, equipment manufacturers, safety implementation, customer demand, and government regulation. To develop a national strategy to decarbonize the sector, three critical questions must be addressed: 1. What is the current state of the off-road vehicle fleet? 2. Which powertrain technologies are most promising for decarbonization of off-road vehicles? 3. What is the timeline for the off-road sector to transition to net-zero emission GHG technologies? Off-road vehicles are primarily designed to operate away from existing roadways. This category contains a disparate and very diverse set of vehicles and use cases, including construction and mining equipment, industrial equipment, agriculture equipment, lawn and garden equipment, and recreational vehicles.1 The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to understand the off-road sector alternative propulsion technology preferences, which technologies seem most promising, and what are the key barriers to achieving the transition to net-zero emissions by 2050. The propulsion technologies under consideration for this RFI are: biodiesel, renewable diesel, renewable natural gas, battery electric, direct electrification (catenary), electric hybridization, hydrogen fueled internal combustion engines and hydrogen fuel cells. Currently, no one alternative propulsion technology is a clear choice for sector decarbonization. This RFI is an attempt to aggregate knowledge from stakeholders to help guide actions regarding future propulsion technologies, research and infrastructure investments, and coordination among key stakeholders to ensure that the off-road sector is meeting or exceeding U.S. decarbonization milestones. The expected outcomes include the completion and publication of insightful essays and books on sculpture, contributing to the broader academic and artistic discourse. Measurable results would be the successful publication of works funded by the grant and the continued development of the grantees' careers. The JBSF offers one $20,000 grant per year, enabling writers to dedicate time to their projects by covering eligible expenses such as writer’s fees, research travel, living expenses (including childcare), image permission fees, reproduction costs, and editing, transcription, or translation expenses. Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) DE-FOA-0003294: BIL - Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Program (Section 40209) through the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) Modification 000002 - The purpose of this modification is to: (1) Update page number references in the BIL Section 40209 FOA Guide; (2) Update Section I.B.i. to clarify other advanced energy property; (3) Update Section III.A.i. to clarify demonstration of eligibility for the energy bills requirement; (4) Update Appendix I - Eligible SAEP Guidance to clarify other advanced energy property The BIL invests appropriations over Fiscal Years (FYs) 2022 through 2026 to establish the Advanced Energy Projects Grant Program, which will support industrial projects in eligible energy communities. Through the two (2) Areas of Interest (AOI), the FOA will provide approximately $425 million in support of projects by small- and medium-sized manufacturing firms (SMMs) AOI 1: Clean Energy Manufacturing and Recycling: The objective of AOI 1 is to increase domestic manufacturing and recycling capacity for materials, components, and systems needed for the clean energy transition. DOE is seeking applications for projects in this AOI to establish new, or re-quip or expand, an existing manufacturing or recycling facility for the production or recycling, as applicable, of advanced energy property. AOI 2: Industrial Decarbonization: The overall objectives for AOI 2 is to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in the United States manufacturing sector through substantial reductions in existing facilities and new builds that result in low carbon materials. Subtopic AOI 2a: Re-equip an existing industrial or manufacturing facility with equipment designed to substantially reduce the GHG emissions of that facility. Subtopic AOI 2b: Establish new, or re-equip or expand, an existing manufacturing or recycling facility that produces materials that result in substantially lower carbon intensity compared to an appropriate industry benchmark and are not derived from a primary feedstock of palm fatty acid distillates or fossil fuels including coal, natural gas, and petroleum.

Grant Title: Request for Information on Carbon Transport Research, Development and Demonstration Consortium - This is a request by the U.S. Department of Energy for public input on the potential creation of a consortium to coordinate research and development efforts on carbon transport methods, with no financial assistance or incentives being offered at this stage.

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Department of Energys (DOE) Manufacturing Energy Supply Chains Office (MESC). This RFI seeks public input to help inform DOEs implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act Automotive Conversion Program. LIHEAP provides energy assistance to households in Washington through a network of community action agencies and local partners. These local organizations will help determine your eligibility and how much assistance you might receive. If you qualify, your local LIHEAP agency will send a payment directly to your energy utility on behalf of your household. LIHEAP primarily assists households by making an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. LIHEAP may also help repair or replace an unsafe, dysfunctional, and inoperative heating or cooling system in some situations. Households eligible for LIHEAP may also qualify to have their homes made more energy efficient through the Weatherization Program. The amount of money awarded to your household will depend on multiple factors. For example, each household’s size, income and annual heat cost will affect the amount of their LIHEAP grant. You’ll have to schedule a LIHEAP appointment with the provider in your community to find out how much you could receive.

The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Nuclear Energy’s (NE) mission is to advance nuclear energy science and technology to meet United States (U.S.) energy, environmental, and economic needs. NE has identified the following goals to address challenges in the nuclear energy sector, to help realize the potential of advanced technology, and to leverage the unique role of the Government in spurring innovation: 1. Enable continued operation of existing U.S. nuclear reactors. 2. Enable deployment of advanced nuclear reactors. 3. Develop advanced nuclear fuel cycles and spent nuclear fuel management options.
