With this solicitation, BJA seeks to support comprehensive community-based approaches to addressing hate crimes that promote community awareness and preparedness, increase victim reporting, and improve responses to hate crimes. The program is also designed to develop community-informed models for preventing and responding to hate speech and incidents, as well as facilitating reconciliation and community healing.

This grant provides funding for collaborative projects among archivists and institutions to improve the processing, preservation, and access to Congressional Records collections across the United States.

This funding opportunity supports collaborative efforts to strengthen the archival capacity of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by enhancing their ability to preserve, access, and promote their unique collections.

This funding program supports the operation of Tribal Historic Preservation Offices (THPOs) within allowable program areas described in the Historic Preservation Fund Grants Manual. Where relevant, staff and projects must comply with the appropriate Secretary of the Interiors Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation.The purpose of this program is to provide grants to THPOs for the identification, evaluation, and protection of historic properties as outlined in the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) by such means as: survey, planning, technical assistance, physical preservation, review of Federal undertakings, education, listing in the National Register of Historic Places and Tribal Registers. These grants assist THPOs in carrying out the NHPA historic preservation activities that a Tribe agreed to assume from the State Historic Preservation Office, on tribal lands, under their Partnership agreement with the National Park Service. Awards under this program must comply with and support 54 USC 3001 et seq.

This grant provides funding for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to improve online access to historical records, particularly those that highlight the contributions and histories of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, as well as early legal documents related to the evolution of U.S. democracy.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Education Programs is accepting applications for the Dialogues on the Experience of War program. This program supports the study and discussion of important humanities sources about war and military service, in the belief that these sources can help U.S. military veterans and others think deeply and in dialogue about the issues that they raise. Dialogues discussion groups may include exclusively veterans (including a subset of veterans such as students or residents of a group facility); nonveteran students or members of the public; military-affiliated persons; or any mix of these groups.

This funding opportunity provides financial support to Connecticut organizations that promote the humanities, enabling them to improve their operations and strategic planning through consultant-led projects.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to fund state, local, and tribal governments to enhance or implement evidence-based activities or services to improve reentry and reduce recidivism by expanding and/or increasing access to housing for people who are currently or formerly involved in the criminal justice system. Prior to the release of incarceration, individuals will be screened, assessed, and identified for program participation. The program will help jurisdictions assess their reentry systems, identify strengths and gaps, and then build capacity for improved housing options for adults released from prison or jail.

The National Park Services (NPS) History of Equal Rights Grant Program (HER) will preserve sites related to the struggle of all Americans to achieve equal rights. HER grants are funded by the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), administered by the NPS, and will fund a broad range of preservation projects for historic sites including: architectural services, historic structure reports, preservation plans, and physical preservation to structures. Grants are awarded through a competitive process and do not require non-Federal match.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to reduce the number of deaths and injuries of individuals with forms of dementia (such as Alzheimers disease) or developmental disabilities (such as autism) who, due to their condition, wander from safe environments. This program provides funding to law enforcement and other public safety agencies to implement to implement location tracking technologies to help find missing individuals. It provides funding to such agencies and partnering nonprofit organizations to develop or operate programs to prevent wandering, increase vulnerable individuals safety, and facilitate rescues.

The Idaho Fish & Wildlife Foundation is offering grants to support projects that align with its mission to sustain Idaho’s fishing, hunting, and wildlife heritage. Eligible applicants include the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and tax-exempt organizations. Volunteer groups can apply if they have fiscal sponsorship and an endorsement letter from a tax-exempt organization. The maximum funding request is $10,000, with a preferred but not required one-to-one match of Foundation funds. Projects must be completed by December 31, 2025. The Foundation does not fund projects outside Idaho, multi-year proposals, salaries (except for contract personnel), advocacy or fundraising activities, ongoing operating costs, or pass-through grants. The Louisiana Project Grants (LPG) program, funded by The Louisiana Division of the Arts (LDOA) and administered by The Acadiana Center for the Arts for Region 4, aims to cultivate innovative arts projects with lasting impact. Replacing the Decentralized Arts Funding (DAF) program that began in 1995, LPG supports arts projects that address local needs and provide artistic value within communities. The program offers funding for a wide variety of arts initiatives that meet specific community requirements. Applications for the FY25 cycle open on May 1, 2024, and must be submitted online by June 28, 2024. Eligible applicants include nonprofit arts organizations, nonprofit organizations, public and private schools, local government agencies, and colleges and universities within Acadiana’s Region 4. The funding period spans from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, with grant amounts ranging from $2,500 to $7,500.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to fund reentry services and programs focused on strengthening education and employment outcomes for individuals returning to their communities after a period of incarceration.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to develop, implement, or expand comprehensive programs in response to the overdose crisis and the impacts of illicit opioids, stimulants, or other substances. The program provides resources to support state, local, tribal, and territorial efforts to respond to illicit substance use and misuse, reduce overdose deaths, promote public safety, and support access to prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services in the community and justice system.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Office of Challenge Programs is accepting applications for Graduate Education in the Humanities: A National Convening, a cooperative agreement to plan and host a national convening to evaluate the current state of graduate education in the humanities, to make recommendations for programs to prepare graduate students for a variety of humanities-related careers, and to develop a roadmap that articulates a strategic vision for graduate education in the humanities. The project will be funded through a combination of federal matching funds and related fundraising from non-federal third parties.

This federal funding program provides resources to local agencies that assist low-income individuals and families in overcoming poverty through essential services and community development initiatives.

The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the City of Tucson, and Pima County will accept proposals for funding from arts and culture organizations in Tucson and Southern Arizona. The Arts Foundation will steward local, regional and federal funds to complement a 3-year initiative to equitably rebuild arts economies in the borderlands and strengthen civic participation. Operating Support Grants will invest in Southern Arizona’s arts economy to 1) Restore/create jobs and 2) Incentivize arts & civic engagement. The grant program is open to 501(c)3 Arts Organizations located within the Arts Foundation’s service area, which includes counties and Tribal Nations that reside between the southern edges of the Gila River to the US-Mexico international border. *Fiscally sponsored organizations residing within Pima County may apply. Operating Support Grants intend to make awards that will impact a broad constituency. This includes a wide geographic range and organizations that support underserved populations such as those whose opportunities to experience the arts are limited by geography, ethnicity, economics, or disability.
