With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to build the capacity of state, Tribal, and local agencies, and to encourage the development and implementation of best practices related to the investigation and prosecution of cases of missing and exploited children.

This grant provides funding to state, local, and Tribal governments, as well as victim service providers, to improve responses to domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking through coordinated community efforts and enhanced victim support services.

The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) is the component of the U.S. Department of Justice responsible for advancing the practice of community policing by the nations state, local, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies through information and grant resources. The COPS Office has been appropriated more than $20 billion to advance community policing, including grants awarded to more than 13,000 state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies to fund the hiring and redeployment of more than 136,000 officers. The COPS Office AHTF program advances public safety by making competitive grants to State law enforcement agencies in States with high per capita rates of primary treatment admissions, for the purpose of locating or investigating illicit activities, through Statewide collaboration, relating to the distribution of heroin, fentanyl, or carfentanil, or relating to the unlawful distribution of prescription opioids. The COPS Office is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and build trust between law enforcement and the community.

The Bureau of Counterterrorism (CT) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to build the Kingdom of Jordans ability to screen for, identify, and counter the illicit transfer of weapons, explosives, and related materials efficiently and effectively.

This funding opportunity provides financial support for organizations to maintain and enhance a national website that helps the public and law enforcement access information about registered sex offenders across the United States.

The SFY 2025 Gun Violence Reduction Grant Program (GVRG), funded by the State of Maryland and administered by the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, aims to support law enforcement agencies and prosecutors in developing and implementing strategies to reduce firearm-related violence. The program seeks to address the statewide issues of gun violence, illegal firearm distribution, manufacturing, and seizures, with a goal to make communities safer. The GVRG encourages the development of coordinated criminal justice strategies and data-driven approaches to criminal justice in Maryland. The Sexual Assault Services Program provides intervention, advocacy, accompaniment (i.e., accompanying victims to court, medical facilities, police departments, etc.), support services, and related assistance for adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault, family and household members of victims, and those collaterally affected by the sexual assault. SASP, created by the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005, 42 U.S.C. §14043g, is the first federal funding stream solely dedicated to the provision of direct intervention and related assistance for victims of sexual assault. SASP provides intervention, advocacy, accompaniment (i.e., accompanying victims to court, medical facilities, police departments, etc.), support services, and related assistance for adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault, family and household members of victims, and those collaterally affected by the sexual assault. Rape crisis centers play a vital role in assisting sexual assault victims through the healing process, as well as assisting victims through the medical, criminal justice, and other social support systems. In order to provide comprehensive services to victims of sexual assault, SASP assists states in supporting rape crisis centers in the provision of direct intervention and related assistance.

This funding opportunity provides financial support to select state and Tribal courts to develop and implement secure electronic methods for serving protection orders, enhancing victim safety and court efficiency.

The SFY 2025 Sex Offender Compliance and Enforcement in Maryland (SOCM) Grant Program, under the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, aims to ensure compliance with Maryland law by individuals required to register or re-register with the Maryland Sex Offender Registry. This initiative supports 24 designated law enforcement agencies in Maryland tasked with registration and compliance enforcement of sexual offenders. With an anticipated fund of $728,916, the program allocates grants to these agencies based on the number of registered offenders in their jurisdiction as of December 31, 2023. The funding is meant to assist with compliance verification and enforcement efforts, enhancing public safety and law enforcement capabilities. The OVW Violence Against Women Tribal Special Assistant United States Attorney (Tribal SAUSA) Initiative (Assistance Listing # 16.055) is authorized by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024, Pub. L. No. 118-42, 138 Stat. 25, 143. This initiative supports Tribes and United States Attorneys Offices (USAOs) in their investigation and prosecution of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, sex trafficking, and stalking cases in Indian country. Grant funds support salary, fringe benefits, training, travel, and supplies for dedicated tribal prosecutors who are cross-designated as Tribal SAUSAs to work directly with their USAOs. The goals of the initiative are to fill gaps in jurisdictional coverage; increase communication and coordination with Tribal, federal, and state law enforcement agencies; establish consistent relationships between federal prosecutors and the Tribal community(ies); and improve the quality of investigation and prosecution of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking cases through training and best practices, such as DOJs recently released framework for prosecutors on strengthening responses to these crimes.
