The Mission intends to design an Activity, called Renda Verde, that seeks to boost communities in leveraging the benefits of living in nature across key biodiversity conservation areas ‐ and benefit local people through sharing of nature‐based revenue. In addition to ongoing enforcement to dissuade and punish destruction of natural resources and habitats, this Activity will focus on the tangible incentives of living with nature, seeking to catalyze the market and community benefits of human coexistence with wildlife in harmony across conservation areas, buffer zones and key biodiversity corridors. USAID’s biodiversity conservation programming creates positive outcomes for biologically significant areas and human well‐being.

The biodiversity found in nature is essential for healthy ecosystems and human well-being. However, the disruption and decline of Earths biodiversity is currently occurring at an unprecedented rate. The resulting shifts in biodiversity dynamics including changes in the scope and structure of biodiversity are increasingly significant but not well understood. Shifting biodiversity dynamics (i.e., shifts in scope, structure, and interactions of biodiversity) in turn influence functional biodiversity, which includes the roles of traits, organisms, species, communities, and ecosystem processes in natural systems. Changes in biodiversity dynamics and functional biodiversity are components of future planetary resilience under environmental change, including climate change. The connection between functional biodiversity and biodiversity dynamics on a changing planet is the main focus of the Biodiversity on a Changing Planet (BoCP) program. The program encourages proposals that integrate ecological and evolutionary approaches in the context of the continual gain, loss, and reorganization of biodiversity on a changing planet. To advance a comprehensive understanding of functional biodiversity requires a highly integrative approach including consideration of spatial and temporal dimensions from the organismal to the ecosystem level, and from recent to deep timescales. The BoCP program is a cross-directorate and international program led by NSF that invites submission of interdisciplinary proposals addressing grand challenges in biodiversity science within the context of unprecedented environmental change, including climate change. Successful BoCP proposals will test novel hypotheses about functional biodiversity and its connections to shifting biodiversity on a changing planet, with respect to both how environmental change affects taxonomic and functional biodiversity, as well as how the resulting functional biodiversity across lineages feeds back on the environment. Proposals that seek to improve predictive capability about functional biodiversity across temporaland spatial scales by considering the linkages between past, present, and future biological, climatic, and geological processes are also encouraged. While this focus complements several core programs at NSF, it differs by requiring an integrative approach to understanding functional biodiversity as it relates to shifting biodiversity under changing environmental conditions. The program supports both US-only collaborative proposals and proposals with international partnerships with the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the So Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) of Brazil, and the National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa. International collaborative proposals are to be submitted jointly, with the U.S. PIs submitting to NSF and the collaborating Chinese, Brazilian, or South African PIs submitting to their appropriate national funding agencies. PAS Philippines invites individuals and non-profit organizations to submit project proposals to carry out monthly programming at the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines American Center for a one-year period. The American Center is part of the sixteen American Spaces network in the Philippines. American Spaces are the U.S. governments primary public cultural and information centers abroad that provide free and open access for communities worldwide interested in learning more about the United States. Through people-to-people connections and modern environments equipped with advanced technologies, over 600 American Spaces in 140 countries serve as the initial experience that millions of global visitors have with the United States, building mutual understanding and partnership. These innovative hubs offer programs and events that foster learning, discussion, and civic engagement around democratic principles. In the fiscal year 2023, American Center Manila hosted programs for thousands of participants, many joining online. These programs focused on entrepreneurship, English language learning, environmental conservation, good governance, media literacy, STEM, and civic engagement. The primary audiences include high school students, undergraduate students, and academics. In 2024, American Center Manila aims to continue implementing impactful monthly programs for our audiences. Examples of projects include, but are not limited to: An incubation program empowering youth to become environmentally conscious entrepreneurs committed to sustainability. A good governance workshop training local government unit youth council members to become accountable and conscientious public servants. A science camp where participants are given hands-on training to stimulating STEM topics and innovative content such as artificial intelligence, coding, robotics, 3D modelling and printing. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This RFI is not accepting applications for financial assistance. The purpose of this RFI is solely to solicit input for ARPA-E consideration to inform the possible formulation of future programs. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit input for a potential ARPA-E program focused on the development of highly insulating R-10-rated glass for windows and R-50-rated walls for residential and commercial building retrofit and new construction.1 This RFI aims to identify potential participants and gather insights to inform the development of a potential funding opportunity focused on these transformative technologies. Heating and cooling of residential and commercial buildings in the United States accounted for about 12% of total national energy consumption (amounting to 12 quadrillion British thermal units) in 2022.2 Approximately 45% of this heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) energy was used to compensate for heat transfer through the building envelope (e.g., windows, walls, doors, attic, and air leaks).2 Reducing the energy a building uses has multiple benefits beyond lower utility costs and carbon dioxide emissions. Smaller, less expensive HVAC equipment and ducting systems would increase useful interior space and reduce demands on the electrical grid. This notice details the application requirements and procedures to obtain grant funding for projects on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) under the Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Program for Fiscal Year 2024. The program aims to reduce the State of Good Repair backlog, improve performance, or expand or establish new intercity passenger rail service. Eligible applicants include states, groups of states, interstate compacts, public agencies, political subdivisions, Amtrak, federally recognized Indian tribes, and combinations of these entities. The total funding available is $2,034,420,932, and applications are due by July 15, 2024. The United States (U.S.) will need a proficient workforce to fill the good-paying jobs created by this historic investment, and this grant program will train job seekers in advanced manufacturing; information technology; and professional, scientific, and technical services occupations that support renewable energy, transportation, and broadband infrastructure sectors. The DOL Building Pathways to Infrastructure Jobs Grant Program represents a down payment for the future skilled workforce needs that are being developed through the BIL investments by investing in the development and expansion of the workforce partnerships that will be needed to build equitable pathways to good infrastructure jobs.The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Grant Program serves dual purposes by implementing and scaling worker-centered sector strategies to support the workforce necessary for successful implementation of the BIL. The United States Government, represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Bangladesh, is publishing this Request for Information (RFI) to offer the opportunity for all interested organizations and individuals to support strengthening the capacity of Government agencies, institutions, local government, communities and private sector in managing rapid onset disasters in densely populated urban centers highly vulnerable to earthquakes and fire. The proposed activity targets to capacitate GOB departments, community volunteers and private sectors to manage urban disasters and save lives and assets.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) invites applicants who received an official request from BJA to apply for funding to continue work on a specific prior grant award. This correspondence would have been sent to you with instructions to apply to this solicitation. All programs will follow guidelines detailed in the original solicitation under which funding was provided. The scope, purpose, award amount, and performance period of the new project will be substantially the same as the previous one.

OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. The purpose of this solicitation is to invite organizations and entities to apply for continuation funding in support of specific BJA initiatives. Overview: The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to increase the effectiveness of investigation and prosecution of public corruption crimes. This project will increase accountability and improve the handling of public corruption cases by both investigators and prosecutors through concurrent training and cooperation. This project will have three key components:Objective 1: Training and capacity buildingTraining and building capacity of anti-corruption investigators and prosecutors. Objective 2: Institutional supportProviding institutional support including policy level changes and technological advancements to strengthen accountability and social inclusion mechanisms.Objective 3: Awareness RaisingRaising public awareness of project initiatives to improve citizens confidence in public service delivery so they are encouraged to report corruption cases.The project will build capacity of investigators and prosecutors to handle public corruption cases both by training and mentoring a cadre of master trainers and by directly training investigators and prosecutors. The specific objectives are to increase the number of appropriate public corruption charges by law enforcement, improve the effective prosecution of public corruption cases, develop policies to encourage citizens to file complaints, and raise citizens awareness and confidence in public service delivery mechanisms. This call for proposals is intended to scale up existing work in Balochistan and expand it to benefit anti-corruption establishments in Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to:1. Train investigators and prosecutors to prosecute corruption cases. 2. Provide institutional support to design effective policies that encourage transparency, accountability, and the use of modern technological tools to invest

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to provide funding to the Office of Attorney General of the District of Columbia (OAGDC) to improve public safety through two evidence-based initiatives designed to reduce juvenile delinquency.
