With this solicitation, BJA seeks to support small and rural agencies in their efforts to combat violent crime through the implementation of a comprehensive violent crime reduction strategy. The goal of this program is to increase the capacity of police departments or prosecutors’ offices to fully implement programming and activities that reflect critical elements found in the Violent Crime Reduction Operations Guide or the Prosecutors' Guide to Reducing Violence and Building Safer Communities to combat violent crime.

This grant provides funding to law enforcement agencies to enhance their efforts in combating gun violence through improved intelligence, technology, and community collaboration.

Overview: The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to increase the effectiveness of investigation and prosecution of public corruption crimes. This project will increase accountability and improve the handling of public corruption cases by both investigators and prosecutors through concurrent training and cooperation. This project will have three key components:Objective 1: Training and capacity buildingTraining and building capacity of anti-corruption investigators and prosecutors. Objective 2: Institutional supportProviding institutional support including policy level changes and technological advancements to strengthen accountability and social inclusion mechanisms.Objective 3: Awareness RaisingRaising public awareness of project initiatives to improve citizens confidence in public service delivery so they are encouraged to report corruption cases.The project will build capacity of investigators and prosecutors to handle public corruption cases both by training and mentoring a cadre of master trainers and by directly training investigators and prosecutors. The specific objectives are to increase the number of appropriate public corruption charges by law enforcement, improve the effective prosecution of public corruption cases, develop policies to encourage citizens to file complaints, and raise citizens awareness and confidence in public service delivery mechanisms. This call for proposals is intended to scale up existing work in Balochistan and expand it to benefit anti-corruption establishments in Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to:1. Train investigators and prosecutors to prosecute corruption cases. 2. Provide institutional support to design effective policies that encourage transparency, accountability, and the use of modern technological tools to invest

With this solicitation OJJDP seeks to provide funding for an applicant organization to support law enforcement, prosecutors and other professionals involved in investigating and prosecuting technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation. Through this program the successful applicant will provide a variety of services and support to OJJDP and the ICAC Task Force Program to fight against child sexual exploitation.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support state, local, and Tribal juvenile justice residential facilities, and the agencies that oversee them, with the recruitment and retention of staff to assist in complying with the staffing ratio requirements outlined in the national PREA standards. This solicitation prioritizes efforts to create and enhance a sexually safe culture, promoting zero tolerance of sexual abuse in juvenile facilities. This program furthers the DOJs mission to uphold the rule of law, to keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights.

BJA is looking for strategies that address these issues, including trying new approaches, addressing gaps in responses, building or translating research knowledge, or building capacity.

This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations and legal service providers to improve access to legal assistance for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, particularly for underserved communities.

This funding opportunity provides financial support for innovative projects that improve the criminal justice system, targeting state, local, and tribal agencies, educational institutions, nonprofits, and for-profit organizations.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to provide financial and technical assistance to states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized Indian tribal governments to plan, implement, and enhance the operations of VTCs including service coordination, participant service and supervision coordination, fidelity to the VTC model, and recovery support services. VTCs effectively integrate evidence-based substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, mental health disorder (MHD) treatment, treatment for co-occurring disorders, mandatory drug testing, incentives and sanctions, and transitional services in judicially supervised criminal court settings that have jurisdiction over veterans with treatment needs in order to reduce recidivism, increase access to treatment and recovery support, and prevent overdose.

This funding opportunity provides financial support to Fox Valley Technical College to enhance a national initiative that combats online child exploitation through law enforcement collaboration, community education, and technical assistance.

This program provides funding to state and local governments for improving criminal justice data sharing and decision-making, promoting transparency and accountability in law enforcement, courts, and corrections.

With this solicitation, BJA, in coordination with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and the Office of Victims of Crime (OVC), seeks applications to provide a range of training and technical assistance (TTA) to grantees and the field at large under the Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI). This will build on the portfolio of existing providers and add new expertise in the following areas: trauma-informed practices and workforce development for Community Violence Intervention (CVI) organizations and staff, mass casualty shooting reviews, law enforcement engagement with CVI programs, TTA network support and coordination, and strategic communications.

This funding opportunity provides financial support to state and local governments, including law enforcement agencies, to address and resolve backlogs of unsubmitted sexual assault kits, enhance investigations, and improve victim support services.

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out the Strengthening Nigeria Police Force Lawful Detention Procedures project. This project will promote the Nigeria Police Forces (NPFs) adherence to the legal provisions provided for in Nigerias Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 and the Nigeria Police Act 2020 as it concerns detention of persons. This will enhance transparency, accountability, due process, and protection of human rights within the police detention system.

This grant provides resources and support to employers, labor organizations, and victim service providers to help them create effective workplace responses for victims of domestic and sexual violence, with a focus on underserved communities and small businesses.

Proposals should highlight engagement with local, state, and national governments to prevent, protect, and/or take actions against TFGBV. Proposals should include engaging with local and national level governments and civil society organizations (CSOs), and meaningfully include TFGBV survivors, to focus on preventive tools. Applicants should include proposed activities, including training, advocacy, outreach, and collaboration with local, state, and national governments and CSOs. Applicants must propose amplifying multi-sectoral engagement and collaborative approaches to address TFGBV. The project should incorporate solutions and methodologies aligned with local social and cultural norms. The project must be carried out in at least two of the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Bhutan.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks applications for funding to support cross-system collaboration to improve responses and outcomes for youth under the age of 18 or youth under the jurisdiction of the juvenile justice system with mental health disorders (MHD) or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (MHSUDs) who come in contact with the juvenile justice system. This program supports public safety efforts through partnerships with youth justice, mental health, and substance use agencies to enhance responses to justice-involved youth with MHD and MHSUDs.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to invite the Council of State Governments for funding to continue to provide training and technical assistance to OJJDPs Second Chance Act Addressing the Needs of Incarcerated Parents and Their Minor Children and Mentoring for Children of Incarcerated grantees.

The "Criminal Justice Coordinating Council Chair and Director Training Curriculum Development and Pilot" grant aims to create a comprehensive 30-hour training program for council chairs and executive directors, using a blend of virtual and in-person instruction, based on the ITIP model and ADDIE principles.
