The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) is the component of the U.S. Department of Justice responsible for advancing the practice of community policing by the nations state, local, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies through information and grant resources. The COPS Office is pleased to announce that it is seeking applications for funding for the FY24 Community Policing Development Microgrants program. CPD Microgrants funding will provide grants to local, state, tribal, and territorial law enforcement agencies to implement demonstration or pilot projects that offer creative ideas to advance crime fighting, community engagement, problem solving, or organizational changes in support of community policing.

This grant provides funding to law enforcement agencies and prosecutors to combat counterfeit goods and product piracy, enhancing public health, safety, and economic integrity.

Grant Title: BJA FY24 Invited to Apply- Byrne Discretionary Community Project Grants/Byrne Discretionary Grants Program: This grant program provides federal funding to pre-selected projects aimed at enhancing the criminal justice system, addressing juvenile delinquency, and assisting crime victims, with a total of $277,518,000 available for various projects.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to build the capacity of state, Tribal, and local agencies, and to encourage the development and implementation of best practices related to the investigation and prosecution of cases of missing and exploited children.

This grant provides funding to state, local, and Tribal governments, as well as victim service providers, to improve responses to domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking through coordinated community efforts and enhanced victim support services.

The COPS Office AHTF program advances public safety by making competitive grants to State law enforcement agencies in States with high per capita rates of primary treatment admissions, for the purpose of locating or investigating illicit activities, through Statewide collaboration, relating to the distribution of heroin, fentanyl, or carfentanil, or relating to the unlawful distribution of prescription opioids. The COPS Office is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and build trust between law enforcement and the community.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support and strengthen collaborations between arts-based organizations and juvenile justice systems to develop, expand, or enhance promising and effective interventions that provide access to high-quality arts programs with and for current or previous justice-involved youth to reduce juvenile delinquency, recidivism, and/or other problem and high-risk behaviors. OJJDP defines justice-involved youth as those participating in court-ordered diversion programs in detention, correctional, or other residential facilities, and/or are on probation due to a delinquency finding by juvenile court.

The Bureau of Counterterrorism (CT) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to build the Kingdom of Jordans ability to screen for, identify, and counter the illicit transfer of weapons, explosives, and related materials efficiently and effectively.

This funding opportunity is designed to support local nonprofit children's advocacy centers in enhancing their services and training related to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse and neglect cases across four U.S. regions.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support the development and dissemination of translational tools and resources current knowledge about what works packaged in accessible, comprehensible, actionable form for use by everyday youth serving (nonresearcher) practitioners, and lay persons to effect and sustain positive change on key topics spanning the juvenile justice continuum in order to improve the juvenile justice system and prevent juvenile delinquency.

This program is authorized by 34 U.S.C 12511(e). The Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program (TSASP) (CFDA # 16.024) supports efforts to create, maintain, and expand sustainable sexual assault services provided by Tribes, tribal organizations, and nonprofit tribal organizations within Indian country and Alaska Native villages. TSASP supported projects provide intervention, advocacy, accompaniment (e.g., accompanying victims to court, medical facilities, or police departments), support services, and related assistance for adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault, non-offending family and household members of victims, and those collaterally affected by the sexual assault.

This funding opportunity provides financial support for organizations to maintain and enhance a national website that helps the public and law enforcement access information about registered sex offenders across the United States.

The 2024 ASEAN Reporters Tour is the second iteration of a USASEAN-funded program to build a network and a sense of collective identity among regionally focused journalists from each of the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, while providing information and insight from important and credible voices on a range of issues. The 2024 program will highlight the positive economic relationship between the United States and ASEAN, with a secondary focus on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the digital economy, as well as how the public and private sectors of the United States work with and support ASEAN and its member states. The program should also adhere to DEIA principles in support of the participants and should ensure the same principles are featured as one aspect of the engagements and messaging. With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to select organization(s) to provide training and technical assistance geared toward strengthening prosecution efforts as listed below: Prosecution of cases of child victimization while in custodial care. These are cases in which children or youth report that they have been victimized while in out-of-home placement, whether that is foster care, group home, shelter care, or a custodial setting. These cases are far less likely to result in prosecution than cases in which a child or youth has been victimized while not in out-of-home placement.
