The Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research is designed to fulfill the mandate of the National Science Foundation (NSF) to promote scientific progress nationwide. Through this program, NSF establishes partnerships with government, higher education, and industry that are designed to effect sustainable improvements in a jurisdiction's research infrastructure, Research and Development (R) capacity, and hence, its R competitiveness. Eligibility to participate in the EPSCoR Workshop Opportunities program is described according to the Outreach Eligibility Map (see eligibility map). USAID is seeking information regarding recipient(s) or coalition to support operational research implementation and management worldwide. Finally, Phase 3, "Final Demonstration," focuses on achieving high voltage and high current targets for SiC modules, demonstrating significant improvements in packaging solutions and creating transformative technologies. Measurable results are tied to the prize structure, with financial incentives at each phase. Phase 1 offers up to 10 winners $50,000 each, Phase 2 provides up to 4 winners $250,000 each, and Phase 3 culminates with up to 1 winner receiving $750,000. Proposers must retrieve the instructions document (zip file) associated with the application package for this opportunity as there is at least one required form that must be attached to the submitted proposal package. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science Mission Directorate (SMD) released its annual omnibus Research Announcement (NRA), Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2024 (OMB Approval Number 2700-0092, CFDA Number 43.001) on February 14, 2024. In this case "omnibus" means that this NRA has many individual program elements, each with its own due dates and topics. All together these cover the wide range of basic and applied supporting research and technology in space and Earth sciences supported by SMD. Awards will be made as grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and inter- or intra-agency transfers, depending on the nature of the work proposed, the proposing organization, and/or program requirements. However, most extramural research awards deriving from ROSES will be grants, and many program elements of ROSES specifically exclude contracts, because contracts would not be appropriate for the nature of the work solicited. The typical period of performance for an award is three years, but some programs may allow up to five years and others specify shorter periods. In most cases, organizations of every type, Government and private, for profit and not-for-profit, domestic and foreign (with some caveats), may submit proposals without restriction on teaming arrangements. The FY24 RCRP Concept Award supports highly innovative, untested, potentially groundbreaking novel concepts in rare cancers. The Concept Award is not intended to support an incremental progression of an already established research project; instead, it allows Principal Investigators (PIs) the opportunity to pursue serendipitous observations. Preliminary data are not required. This award mechanism supports high-risk studies that have the potential to reveal entirely new avenues for investigation. The purpose of this research is to focus on the response of tree island vegetation structure and composition to changes in hydrology as a result of CERP implementation. Additionally, there is potential work related to using monitoring data to develop tools to measure ecological performance in response to CERP implementation. The project objectives include: Objective 1: To monitor the condition of plant community structure and composition of tree islands. Objective 2: To assess temporal changes in the plant community structure and composition of tree islandsObjective 3: To determine the relationships among the hydrologic regimes of adjacent marshes, other stress variables, and dynamics of vegetation communities on tree islands. Objective 4: To investigate the correlation of spatially explicit long-term vegetation changes in response to hydrological regime changes.
