Promote and embrace diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility through action, education, and guidance; foster an understanding that includes, accepts, respects and appreciates each individual member of our community by:  providing information, education, and communication that facilitates understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility and celebrates and respects individual differences;  recommending to the Mayor and City Council opportunities to promote programs related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, and providing guidance to ensure an accessible, safe, welcoming, and inclusive government and community; and  supporting, challenging, and guiding government and the community to eliminate and prevent all forms of discrimination. Purpose of Grants Program To harness the power and enthusiasm of the local community and partner with local groups, agencies, organizations or individuals by providing funding to help make possible community programs, events and/or activities that engage, educate or involve the Edmonds community in ways that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Grant Monies Available Individual grant awards may not exceed $500. Grants Program Timeline Awards are for programs from January through June 2024. Applications are due by 4:30pm, Friday, May 24, 2024. Eligible Projects Programs, events or activities that engage the greater Edmonds community and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Examples of such projects are: • Speakers • Films • Discussion groups • Readings • Performance • Community gatherings • Installations Funds may be used for the promotion and/or production of the project but may not be used for salaries; permanent capital acquisitions; or food, drink, prizes or other giveaways. This initiative provides microgrants to empower youth-led climate action projects in Hoboken, targeting individuals aged 15 to 24 who are engaged in environmental initiatives.

The CZI Community Fund supports nonprofit organizations that are helping create a more socially, economically, and just San Mateo County. Eligibility Requirements Organizations interested in funding through the CZI Community Fund must meet the following criteria: Tax Status: Organizations must be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; have a valid fiscal agent or sponsor that is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Grantee Status: Organizations and sponsored projects from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative that end on or before December 31, 2024, are eligible to apply for funding from the CZI Community Fund. Organizations with grants from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative that extend beyond December 31, 2024, are not eligible to apply for funding from the CZI Community Fund Local School Districts and School Foundations: CZI supports local school districts and school foundations in various ways, but not through the CZI Community Fund. Nonprofit Effectiveness Grants of up to $10,000 are focused on strengthening the internal capacity or infrastructure of community-based organizations throughout Spartanburg County. The Boise City Department of Arts & History Catalyst Grant program is a one-time funding opportunity that will support small-scale and mid-sized arts, history, and cultural activities such as public programs, events, projects, exhibitions, and tours throughout the year. Applicants can be of any age, but must be in the early stages of their careers as fiction writers and will not have had the support needed to achieve major recognition for their work. They define “emerging writer” as someone who has not yet had a novel or short story collection published by either a major or independent publisher, and who is also not currently under contract to a publisher for a work of fiction. Eligible applicants may have had stories or novel excerpts published in magazines, literary journals or online, but this is not a requirement. The City of Champaign is announcing the availability of funding for the 2024-2025 program year through the Community Matters youth program. Through this funding opportunity, the City of Champaign seeks to fund public or private non-profit agencies providing programs that meet the needs of students and youth from Pre-K through 18 years of age and residing within the City of Champaign. Proposals should target youth from low-income families with the goal of having a lasting impact on the community. Prioritization shall be given to programs serving youth from the target areas (Beardsley Park, Bristol Park, Garden Hills, and Douglass Park). However, low-income youth from any Champaign neighborhood may participate as space and funding allows. Activities that can be carried out with CDBG funds include but are not limited to the rehabilitation of residential and non-residential structures, building demolition, construction/rehabilitation of public facilities, and public services. Activities pertaining to the general conduct of government, political activities, and new housing construction are generally ineligible. Proposing agencies should note that public service funds are extremely limited and subject to a 15% cap of the City of Champaign’s grant award. Funding Information The available public service funding amount is set by HUD through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and is limited to 15% of the City of Champaign’s CDBG annual allocation. The Community Pride Foundation offers grants to support youth activities that encompass arts, athletics/sports, education, and leadership. Eligible applicants include public schools, youth organizations, nonprofit organizations, and public/governmental agencies. The grant does not fund individuals. Proposals must be youth-centered, involve active youth participation, and focus on the program rather than equipment. Collaboration and leveraging other funding sources are important evaluation criteria. Applications must be submitted by email or post-marked by the deadlines of May 1 or November 1. Awards range from $500 to $2,500 with total available funding of $10,000 annually.

This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations serving Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to support their operating or program needs based on their budget size.

The Healthy Environment or All (HEAL) Capacity grant program focuses on enhancing community-led decision making to advancing environmental justice (EJ) and building climate resilience. The Legislature required the state Department of Health (DOH) to set this grant program based on the Environmental Justice Council (EJC) Climate Commitment Act (CCA) funding recommendations and budget priorities. These grants are supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. They offer two funding opportunities to support communities in building capacity to engage in HEAL activities. Eligible organizations may apply to one or both of the following: Pass-through funding – They invite community-based organizations to sub-grant funds to other community-based organizations working with overburdened communities and vulnerable populations across Washington State to support equitable community engagement and participation in HEAL activities. Project funding – An organization may apply on its own or in partnership with other organization(s) for funds to build organizational and community capacity to provide guidance and input to: Environmental Justice Council on implementation of the HEAL Act. Department of Health on updates to the environmental health disparities map. State agencies on implementation of the HEAL Act (including environmental justice assessments, budgeting and funding, community, and Tribal engagement). Funding Information Total Amount of Funding: $11.6 million Estimated Funding Range per Award: $250,000 – $1,000,000 Eligibility Criteria This funding is open to eligible organizations in both rural and urban areas. They hope to reach communities across the state through this funding. Tribal organizations and Urban Native led non-profits with 501(c)3 status with service areas in WA state are encouraged to apply for either type of funding. These applications will be scored to account for Tribal sovereignty, data sovereignty, and proprietary traditional knowledge protection. Federally recognized Tribes are eligible to apply for the Tribal Heal Capacity reserved for Tribal governments. Community based organizations with 501(c)3 status are eligible to apply for passthrough funds. Large institutions (i.e. hospitals/community health centers, academic institutions, local health jurisdictions, local government such as city county) are invited to apply in partnership with a 501(c)3 or fiscally sponsored community based organization. It is expected that passthrough fund grantees will spend a reasonable amount of awarded funds on administrative costs associated with establishing and distributing the funds Organizations receiving pass-through funds must also meet the following qualifications: Administrative and fiscal capacity to set up and manage pass-through funding. The Community Livability Grant (CLG) provides grants to community-based organizations for projects that promote healthy, complete, and resilient neighborhoods and respond to and respect the diversity of its residents. Donor Name: Prosper Portland State: Oregon County: All Counties Type of Grant: Grant Deadline: 05/31/2024 Size of the Grant: $10,000 to $100,000 Grant Duration: 1 Year Details: Prosper Portland seeks proposals from community-based organizations for projects that foster vibrant and healthy neighborhoods and improve the prosperity of area residents and businesses. Priorities The CLG program prioritizes projects that benefit historically underserved communities and promote widely shared prosperity. For example, such projects would: Improve access to jobs and workforce development services. Support wealth creation opportunities for small business owners. Honor and enhance the neighborhood’s cultural diversity and history. Deliver a community asset tailored to the community’s expressed priorities and opportunities. Funding Information The total maximum grant award is $300,000; awards typically range from $10,000 to $50,000. The project must be completed within one year of the grant award. Uses of funds Funding for the Grant Program is through tax increment financing (TIF) and, therefore, is tied to permanent, physical improvements (including tenant improvements) of real property. (Temporary installations, ongoing administration, routine maintenance costs (such as regular inspections and routine repairs), equipment, working capital, or work that was completed previous to the grant agreement execution are not eligible.) Who is the CLG for? Nonprofit organizations, neighborhood and business associations, and neighborhood groups located within the Central Eastside, Gateway Regional Center, Interstate Corridor, Lents Town Center and North Macadam Tax Increment Finance (TIF) Districts are eligible. Eligibility Criteria Nonprofit organizations, neighborhood and business associations, and neighborhood groups. Groups formed solely for performing a project in a neighborhood should have a 501(c)3 or 501(c)6 nonprofit organization to serve as their fiscal agent. Private property owner or for-profit entity may be eligible if the applicant does the following: leases or provides space for no fee or at a substantially reduced rate to meet the needs of a nonprofit organization or community group (it is strongly encouraged to apply in partnership with the non-profit organization); and provides or proposes to provide a significant community benefit that adds to the livability for area residents. If awarded, applicant must produce documentation that grant funds will be used only for improvements to space occupied by a nonprofit or directly related to providing a community benefit, and benefits will be ongoing for a minimum of three years. Schools if: The project provides a broad community benefit, is accessible to the public, and has been approved by the school district or other owner with a three-year maintenance and public access plan. The Tribal Solar Accelerator Fund is accepting applications for its 2024 Capacity Building Grant Program. TSAF Funding Area- Tribal Energy Capacity Building Grant  At the TSAF, they understand that Indian Country needs more than just project development funding, which is why the Tribal Energy Capacity Building grants are looking to support tribes and tribal organizations with; technical expertise, educational and workforce development training, policy and regulatory guidance, planning, design, and project development, and industry resources. Tribal Energy Capacity Building grants will be intended to support TSAF’s past, current, and new community of tribal partners to invest in building the human capacity needed to advance tribal clean energy programs and projects that build the tribal energy ecosystem of community leaders, experts, cultural knowledge keepers, and everyone in between. These grants will be significant, flexible, multi-year funding for general operating support, capacity building, and enhancing energy and sustainability expertise that reinforces tribal sovereignty. TSAF Grantmaking Priorities  The TSAF supports and encourages solar education, training, and workforce development in tribal communities through leadership programs and industry related opportunities Provide access to funding to support the development of renewable energy projects and the development of long-term energy plans to increase tribal energy security and resiliency Ensure that equity is a driving principle in the national transition to a clean energy economy through learning from the TSAF community and generating awareness in the climate action arena. Eligibility Criteria  The TSAF is committed to serving, supporting, and strengthening American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribal communities by investing in capacity building with a focus on renewable energy development and sustainability. The TSAF eligibility criteria is as follows: Federally recognized tribal governments in the lower 48 states and Alaska (tribal government programs, such as tribal housing authority, cultural departments, economic development entities, etc.) Tribally-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations (fiscally-sponsored tribal community organizations, tribal community organizations without a 501(c)(3) nonprofit status may submit an application through a sponsoring organization if the sponsor has IRS 501(c)(3) status and can provide written authorization confirming its willingness to act as the fiscal sponsor. Schools that are tribally-controlled 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and schools that are tribally-operated such as tribal colleges and universities (TCUs), any public or Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools. The definition of “tribal-led” is: an organization in which a majority (>51%) of the board of directors and leadership team are American Indian or Alaska Native. The Youth Opioid Prevention Grant Program (YOPGP) supports efforts in Oregon City to discourage or prevent youths within community from the misuse of opioids and prevent or reduce overdose deaths or other opioid-related harms through evidence-based or evidence-informed programs or strategies, which will improve community’s overall quality of life by investing in programs that focus directly on youth.
