Provides funding over four years. Requires a cash match. Grants typically reimburse up to 80% of total approved project costs for the first year; 60% for the second year; 40% for the third year; and 20% for the fourth year. Awards for multi-year grants are made each fiscal year, with funding of eligible expenses provided on a reimbursement basis. Grantees will be required to submit a brief Continued Multi-Year Improvement Grant application form and submit a new Improvement Grant Resolution for continued funding for each subsequent year of eligibility. Minimum $50,000 project budget per application. Rural Regional Public Defender Sustainability Grants Regional programs must cover three or more counties. Counties with populations less than 100,000 are eligible. (Counties that exceed this threshold may request a variance based on special considerations.) Provides reimbursement of 80% of approved program costs in the initial year, transitioning to ongoing sustainability funding covering 2/3 of eligible costs in subsequent years. May be operated directly by counties or contracted to eligible nonprofit public defender organizations. Single-Year Improvement Grants Funding for indigent defense process improvement projects including technology projects. These projects require a cash match as detailed in Section II below. Minimum program budget of $5,000 per application. Routine equipment replacements or upgrades are not eligible. Technical Support Grants Special projects including indigent defense research, program assessments, or pilot projects that build the knowledge base about indigent defense and test processes that can be applied in other counties. All technical support projects require a project paper that describes the implementation, the benefits the county may have received, a brief commentary from participants, and a brief discussion on implications or suggestions for other similar projects. Continued Multi-Year Improvement Grants Counties with current Multi-Year Improvement Grant awards and Rural Regional Public Defender Sustainability Grants must submit a brief online Continued Multi-Year Improvement Grant form for each subsequent year of eligible funding. Eligibility Criteria  The following entities are eligible for Improvement Grants: Texas counties. Counties may apply jointly for funding but must designate one county as the grant recipient. A law school’s legal clinic or program that provides indigent defense services for Texas counties as described in Section 79.037, Texas Gov’t Code. A regional public defender formed under Article 26.044, Code of Criminal Procedure that provides indigent defense services for Texas counties and meets the requirements of Texas Gov’t Code Section 79.037. An entity described by Section 791.013, Texas Gov’t Code that provides to a county administrative services under an interlocal contract entered for the purpose of providing or improving the provision of indigent defense services in the county. A nonprofit corporation that provides indigent defense services or indigent defense support services in a county. The Alexandria Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities’ Office of the Arts is collaborating with the Recreation Services Division to create a new Grant Program – Arts Enrichment Program for Youth (AEPY) which is funded by the American Rescue Fund Program for Alexandria. Must have their IRS letter of determination for at least one year before applying and must stay in existence during the grant period. Applications are also accepted by teaching artists who have demonstrated experience with working with youth and are eligible to work in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Nonprofit organizations or teaching artists should have previous experience with working with youth 5 – 12 years of age groups in flexible environments. Arts enrichment programs for Youth need to engage youth in the Alexandria Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities out-of-school arts programs which may also include Teacher Workdays or Holiday breaks. Therefore: The NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Treatment Grant will consider all eligible 3D objects for conservation, however they encourage requests for support of objects involving historically marginalized and underrepresented communities.  For the purposes of this grant, historically marginalized and underrepresented communities may include: African American/Caribbean, Latino/Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, Native American/Indigenous; LGBTQIA and people with disabilities. Additionally, objects that interpret the stories of New York State are strongly encouraged for conservation. Funding Information Individual grant awards will not exceed $7,500. No match is required. Uses of funds  Support is available for conservation treatment of paintings, works on paper (including individual drawings, watercolors, prints or photographs), textiles (including costumes, domestic textiles, and upholstery), furniture, frames, sculpture, historical, ethnographic, and decorative objects. Frames are an integral part of a painting and applicants must address frame condition and treatment when applying for painting conservation. Support is also available for treatment costs for supports, stands, and mounts that are integral to the treatment of the object. Grants will support in-state transportation costs for the objects and/or the conservators, and the cost of insurance for the work(s) to be treated. Requests for treatment of outdoor sculpture must include the description of an​ on-going maintenance program already in existence, or one to be implemented, at your institution. An engineer’s report may be required for some sculptures. Eligibility Criteria  Any nonprofit organization including museums, historical organizations or other cultural institutions incorporated in or registered to do business in New York State, that own, care for and exhibit collections to the public may apply. Proof of non-profit status may be requested. Applicant organizations must not have in-house conservation staff with expertise in the area for which support is requested. Projects must be performed by, or under the director supervision of a professional conservator. Applicant organizations must be open to the public; by appointment only does not suffice.
