Organizations with outstanding or delinquent grant reports are not eligible for future grants. No grants will be made solely to individuals or for travel expenses. Grants cannot be used for endowment purposes or the acquisition of weapons or property. Religious organizations can receive grants for general community programs or historical site preservation but not for sectarian religious purposes. Previous grant recipients must comply with reporting requirements before applying again. The foundation reserves the right to refuse any grant application. For Donor Advised Funds, advisors are required to submit a recommendation form for each organization they wish to distribute funds to. The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Forfeiture Fund is designed to support community-based anti-crime and anti-narcotics organizations in accordance with the Pennsylvania Controlled Substances Forfeiture Act and a court order from Sourovelis v. City of Philadelphia. This grant specifically focuses on organizations targeting at-risk youth through various programs, including after-school activities, violence and addiction prevention, recovery and rehabilitation from addiction, and reintegration and employment post-imprisonment with an emphasis on anti-crime/drug/violence initiatives. Funding is guided by the Office of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania and the US Department of Justice, aimed at grassroots community groups in Philadelphia with budgets of $5 million or less. The current grant cycle, running from 08/26 to 09/20, prioritizes Trauma, Healing and Support for Youth Impacted by Violence , offering grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.

The COVID-19 pandemic is not over, and it continues to impact disabled people’s access to education, employment, and community. The American Association of People with Disabilities' COVID-19 & Higher Education Advocacy Program will be providing Community Grants of $500-$5,000 to groups working to address issues in higher education felt by the disability community, especially as it related to issues created or made worse due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
