This funding opportunity assists Minnesota dairy farmers in modernizing their operations and developing strategic business plans by covering half the costs of hiring qualified consultants.

The BARN grant program aims to preserve Kansas barns, reviving underutilized, vacant, or dilapidated structures while fostering new economic activity through agritourism ventures. These building grants are specifically designed to rescue barns from likely demolition or collapse and rehabilitate them into spaces conducive for new or expanding agritourism businesses. The types of projects we are looking for with the BARN grant are those that will encourage people, particularly from out of state, to visit agritourism locations in Kansas. Rather, they are about repurposing these spaces into vibrant hubs for agritourism activities, thereby injecting new life and economic opportunities into communities. The Vermont Agency of Agriculture has entered into a cooperative agreement with the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) to administer the Resilient Food System Infrastructure (RFSI) grant program in Vermont. Sole proprietors using a business name other than their own name must have their assumed business name (formerly known as a trade name) registered with the Vermont Secretary of State. Eligible entities can include: Agricultural producers or processors, or groups of agricultural producers and processors operating middle-of-the-supply-chain activities such as processing, aggregation, distribution of targeted agricultural products. Nonprofit organizations operating middle-of-the-supply-chain activities such as processing, aggregation, distribution of targeted agricultural products. Local government entities operating middle-of-the-supply-chain activities such as processing, aggregation, distribution of targeted agricultural products. The Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure (RFSI) program, funded by the USDA, allocates approximately $2 million for infrastructure grants to Vermont businesses and organizations aiming to strengthen local and regional food systems. The grants support projects that improve the aggregation, distribution, manufacturing, processing, storing, transporting, and wholesaling of Vermont food products. This track encourages development of Vermont value-added products and promotes fair wages and job creation. A 50% match is required, which can be reduced to 25% for historically underserved farmers. Grants range from $100,000 to $500,000 and are available from fall 2024 through February 2027.

This track of the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure (RFSI) program provides approximately $1 million for grants aimed at purchasing equipment necessary for the middle of the food supply chain activities in Vermont. The grants range from $30,000 to $100,000 with no match requirement. Applications for this track are set to open in late August 2024 and close in early October 2024, with grant activities beginning in early 2025.

The Make it Minnesota Marketing Investment Cost-Share Program, funded by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's AGRI Program, supports Minnesota-based consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies in food, beverage, or pet food sectors. The program reimburses 50% of eligible marketing investments up to a maximum of $3,000 per company per fiscal year. This funding can be used for in-store demonstrations, Minnesota Pavilion events, and B2B tradeshow costs, among other high-impact marketing activities. The program aims to help these companies increase their market presence both domestically and internationally.

The California Natural Resources Agency is accepting proposals for the California Museum Grant Program. In general, a successful applicant will convey an understanding of the grant program criteria, their preparedness to manage a complex and long- term fleet transition project, and their commitment to maintaining awarded vehicles in everyday fleet operations. Program Requirements  Requested vehicles must be domiciled in and operated from a site in the state of Colorado with a large percentage of their travel within the state. Requested vehicles should be owned and operated by the fleet or individual fleet owner applying for funding. In cases where a third-party, who will not operate the vehicles directly, applies for funding, information on ownership of the vehicles must be included with the application materials for consideration. Applicants must operate awarded vehicles per the terms and conditions provided by the state. Applicants are required to provide proof they are currently registered and in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State. Business entities outside of Colorado must review and, where applicable, file a Statement of Foreign Entity Authority (SOFEA) with the Colorado Secretary of State before submitting their application. Requested vehicles must be insured and authorized for use in the state of Colorado. Requested new vehicles must be procured in their original manufactured condition from a retail business or dealership, with no previous ownership. Used and/or demonstration vehicles are not eligible for funding through the Clean Fleet Enterprise. Upon award, applicants must agree to share vehicle operational data with the Clean Fleet Enterprise. Additional information on data collection will be provided on the program webpage. Applicants will be required to provide vehicle information with the Clean Fleet Enterprise. Fleets must notify the Clean Fleet Enterprise ahead of any intent to move awarded vehicles out of Colorado. Application submissions may not include confidential or trade-secret information. If an applicant believes information required to complete the application is confidential or trade-secret, they must prepare a redacted copy for submission and indicate such in the document title.
