Applying for this grant does not restrict an organization from applying for other CAC project-based grants. General Operating grants are intended to support the applicant organization in carrying out its mission. Funding is not intended to support a specific project. Funding Information Organizations with total revenue below $250,000 or over $1.5 million are not eligible for this funding cycle. Applicant organizations can request up to $30,000 for this one-year funding cycle. Grant Activity Period: October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2025. Eligibility Criteria  501(c)(3) organization- Organizations must demonstrate proof of nonprofit status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or section 23701d of the California Revenue and Taxation Code. Applying with a 501(c)(3) Fiscal sponsor- An applicant organization without nonprofit status must use a California-based fiscal sponsor with a federal 501(c)(3) designation to apply for funding. OR Municipal, County or Tribal Governmental Entity- Units of municipal, county, or tribal governments are eligible to apply. Certificate of good standing – Nonprofit organizations and fiscal sponsors (if applicable) must have “active status” with the California Secretary of State (SOS) showing evidence of “good standing” at the time of application. An indication of “active” (versus “suspended,” “dissolved,” “cancelled,” etc.) confirms that your nonprofit corporation exists, is authorized to conduct business in the State of California, has met all licensing and corporation requirements, and has not received a suspension from the Franchise Tax Board. ADVS is the state agency responsible for the 600,000 service members, Veterans, and family members that call Arizona home. To that end, ADVS collaborates with public and private stakeholders to implement initiatives that positively influence the lives of Arizona’s military, Veteran, and family population.  ADVS is supporting the ongoing statewide collective impact efforts and implementation of three (3) Veteran initiatives focused on ending Veteran homelessness, assisting with Veteran employment barriers, and providing a pathway to providing Veterans with a higher level of care. ADVS is committed to the implementation of these Veteran Initiatives, which includes providing programs and services focusing on a community-based Veteran Homeless Action Plan to meet the needs of Veterans and their families through outreach, housing services, employment barriers, connection to VA community resources, and facilitating Veterans transition into a higher level of care.   AZ Action Plan to End Homeless Veterans Introduction: ADVS provides critical, statewide coordination and technical assistance to services and organizations serving Veterans. This includes activities such as the Arizona Veteran StandDowns, outreach events that support homeless and at-risk military Veterans in Coconino, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Yavapai and Yuma Counties. This solicitation looks to expand the reach and capacity of Arizona Department of Veterans' Services to serve Arizona Veterans. AZHC is a statewide organization and have served Veterans and their families for many years. Project Objectives: Host the Maricopa County StandDown, the largest serving StandDown in the nation. The event serves over 2,000 homeless and at-risk Veterans each year.  Provide leadership, coordination, technical assistance, and bridge funding  throughout the year. Foster collaborations with new partners to serve  Veterans in need. Seek to prioritize the Maricopa County StandDown efforts towards  Veterans who  are street-living homeless without jeopardizing the accuracy of the      data of  Veterans' housing status. Provide financial assistance to Veterans in need in the form of bridge housing or mitigation assistance throughout the year in Maricopa County. Provide financial and technical assistance to the 11 StandDowns throughout the state. Collect accurate information of how many Veterans are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Outreach to other communities currently hosting or considering hosting   StandDown or at-risk Veteran resource events. Develop relationships and provide assistance to foster future collaborations under the Arizona Veteran StandDown Alliance. Provide After-Action reports for each event, shared with the Arizona Department  of Veterans' Services, and accessible to the community on our website. Veteran Toolkit  Introduction: ADVS with the help of the Arizona Coalition for Military Families has launched the  roadmap to Veterans Employment. This strategy outlines various initiatives to assist Veterans with obtaining employment. As often is the case, the veteran has been unemployed or under employed, and may not have the funds to buy the required protective  equipment, tools, or supplies needed for work. Project Objectives: The purpose of this section is to outline the scope of work of the grantee and   deliverables due to ADVS. Grantee will receive referrals from employment service providers (DVOP, LVER, Community workforce development services etc.) and provide identified          veteran recipients with an intervention that enables gainful employment. Grantee will ensure that the intervention occurs within 48 hours of a regular workweek. All monetary interventions must be receipted and submitted monthly for ADVS reporting. Financial assistance may not be given directly to the veteran; equipment, tools, and supplies must be acquired for them. Veteran must sign and acknowledge they have received assistance, to include any items purchased for obtaining gainful employment. Hero’s Pathway to Hope The Arizona Department of Veterans' Services (ADVS) is the State agency responsible for the 600,000-service member, veterans and family members that call Arizona home. The State of Arizona is seeing increasingly high numbers of homeless veterans who cannot be housed due to a combination of financial difficulties and high acuity needs. Project Objectives: Lead a multi-agency team of public and private partners to ensure programmatic goals are met tee will be responsible for facilitating communication through email and virtual  meetings throughout the duration of the Pilot. Grantee will give a complete overview of Pilot during the briefing process where the Veteran will sign and Inter-Agency ROI, Acknowledgment of Program      Guidelines and data collection. During briefing process Grantee will provide clear and concise information that the Veteran in entering into a voluntary Pilot Program, which includes the possibility of denial of applications and termination of funding within the three (3) month bridge of placement. Collect pilot data to inform program needs beyond the pilot. Provide Promise to Pay letter to be sent to Placement Facility, Veteran and assigned VA Social Worker. Notice of Funds ending letter will be sent to Facility and Partnering Agencies; notifying Facility of thirty (30) day end of funds date. Grantee will provide a report of monthly expenses for each Veteran participating in the Pilot and a report of data findings within ninety (90) days of conclusion of the  Pilot. Financial Notes: The State of Arizona is seeing increasingly high numbers of homeless veterans who cannot be housed due to a combination of financial difficulties and high acuity needs. Provide financial assistance to Veterans in need in the form of bridge housing or mitigation assistance throughout the year in Maricopa County. Advocate for additional financial resources at the federal, state, and local levels to support housing and homelessness services, including advocating for the restoration of the state housing trust fund. Financial assistance may not be given directly to the veteran; equipment, tools, and supplies must be acquired for them.

This funding provides financial support to Pennsylvania counties, cities, and local governments to aid in COVID-19 response, economic recovery, and public health improvements.

The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is making up to $2 million in State Apprenticeship Expansion Formula (SAEF) funding available under the Direct Entry Pre-Apprenticeship Programs (DEPA) Request for Applications (RFA). The purpose of the RFA is to: 1. Provide funding for DEPA programs to support approximately 300 participants; and2. Support entry into NYS Registered Apprenticeship (RA) programs for underrepresented populations including women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and veterans.NYSDOL is particularly interested in supporting DEPA programs that provide participants with training and exposure to various trades and offer opportunities for entry into RA training programs. Targeted industries include, but are not limited to, Building and Construction, Manufacturing, and Information Technology (IT).Although grantmaking activities will transition from the Grants Gateway to the Statewide Financial System (SFS) on January 16, 2024, applications for this funding opportunity will continue to be accepted through Grants Gateway until the submission deadline date of March 29, 2024.Note: With the transition of grantmaking activities from the Grants Gateway to SFS, prequalification will be unavailable from December 15, 2023 through January 16, 2024. This program is only available for infrastructure that was damaged from fires or fire suppression activities that occurred on or after July 1, 2020. For questions regarding post-wildfire flooding damage, please contact your local County Emergency Management office. PLEASE READ: Private landowners are only eligible to receive financial assistance if they work through an eligible applicant: Eligible applicants include Governmental organizations (including state, county, and local), 501(c) non-profit organizations, and Indian Tribes. The State of Arizona through the Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) invites proposals from Arizona public and private landowners for emergency repairs for infrastructure damaged by fires or fire suppression activities occurring July 1, 2020 and after. The Post-Wildfire Infrastructure Assistance Program goal is to assist in infrastructure repairs to physical systems, operational structures and facilities needed for the use of urban, rural, agricultural, cultural and natural resources.  Financial Notes: The Arizona Post-Wildfire Infrastructure Assistance Program has allocated $10,000,000 to support infrastructure recovery efforts to mitigate the impact of Arizona wildfires.  Awards will be limited to those applicants most significantly impacted, on a first-come-first-served basis, and DFFM shall prioritize distributions of financial assistance to private landowners. Applicants will be those whose needs were not met by other funding sources (insurance, federal agencies, etc.) and only after all other sources of payment, including any insurance and other reimbursements, have been deducted or the landowner provides information to DFFM that the landowner does not qualify for other reimbursement.  Awards will be limited to a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $500,000 per award. Some projects may be offered only partial funding depending on the severity of demonstrated need and funding availability at the time of the request. 

This program provides funding to public school districts and area career and technical schools for necessary improvements to their facilities.

Working with Railroads comprise funding and project efforts that engage the Commision and staff in the business and support of an effective rail service as the key connection for Ohio companies to their suppliers and markets worldwide, Rail is often a requirement for business attraction and retention efforts. The Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) promotes economic opportunities while supporting safety and quality of life concerns across Ohio's extensive rail infrastructure. At 5,187 miles, Ohio's network of active rail lines is the fourth most extensive in the nation. The high mileage of rail lines in Ohio reflects the close integration of rail with Ohio's economy. Ohio's businesses are committed to using Ohio's rail network. Ohio's largest railroads, CSX and Norfolk Southern, publish Public Projects Manuals to assist public entities in interacting with their organizations. Regional and short-line railroads often publish information on their websites to identify appropriate processes and contacts. If needed, ORDC is happy to assist Ohio communities with identifying the correct railroad contacts. The ORDC assists with railroad-roadway coordination by providing technical assistance to ODOT District project managers and area engineers, local municipalities, contractors, and others regarding railroad issues and requirements for public projects.

Eligible municipalities and other public entities are invited to submit project proposals to be considered for funding. The program is designed to support projects that address the unique economic needs and challenges faced by smaller communities, which sometimes includes difficulty competing against larger cities/towns for grant resources. RDF offers grants for a variety of project types, including community planning efforts, predevelopment activities, and/or construction. Funding Information Grants in this category will likely be in the $50,000-$500,000 range. Projects that apply under the “Planning and Zoning” category will be limited to no more than $100,000 per application. Grants in all other categories will be limited to a maximum of $500,000. At its discretion, EOED may make partial awards, for an amount less than requested by an applicant or make grants over $500K, as appropriate. All funding for this program is subject to annual appropriation. Eligible Projects  The program will consider a variety of projects for funding support. Examples of project types that may be submitted for considered include, but may not be limited to the following (projects listed under the corresponding Development Continuum categories): Planning and Zoning Category (generally, grant requests are for consulting services) Create a housing production plan to better understand housing needs of the community and identify strategies to reduce gaps in existing housing relative to identified needs. If applicable, create a multi-family zoning district near a transit station to comply with M.G.L. Chapter 40A, Section 3A. Conduct a zoning review to identify and remove language that hinders economic growth, such as housing and/or commercial development. Create a plan to update zoning rules to unlock potential housing production and economic development growth. Site Preparation Category (generally entails hiring of consultants, engineers, and/or contractors) Create a site master plan, including predevelopment activities, on an underutilized commercial property with the intent to create mixed use that may include affordable housing. Conduct design, engineering, and/or permitting activities to address changes to existing water, sewer and stormwater in a prospective development site. Demolish a blighted building that cannot be recovered to prepare a portion of a parcel or an entire parcel for mixed-use redevelopment that may include affordable housing. Buildings (generally entails hiring of consultants, engineers, and/or contractors) Conduct design, engineering, and/or permitting activities to address ADA accessibility requirements for public buildings and resources. Rehabilitate housing to bring an underutilized property back onto the market. Provide further subsidies to an affordable housing project to directly create affordable housing units or increase the number of affordable units in a new housing project. Infrastructure (generally entails hiring of engineers and contractors) Conduct design, engineering, permitting, and construction for road improvements, including projects that address public safety concerns, such as dangerous road conditions and/or imminent collapse of a bridge or culvert. Conduct design, engineering, and/or permitting activities to address improvements to existing water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure. Conduct design, engineering, and/or permitting activities to address construction of a new water line connection to an adjacent town or making plans to consolidate water districts for an area served only by wells. Conduct design, engineering, permitting, and construction of alternative transportation infrastructure to address ADA accessibility requirements for pedestrians and cyclists between residential and/or commercial areas. Eligibility Criteria  A municipal government, or other public entity, from any Massachusetts town that meets (based on the 2020 Census data) the definition of a Rural Community (having less than 500 persons per square mile) and/or a Small Town (having a total population of 7,000 or less persons). Other public entities may include a Public Housing Authority, Redevelopment Authority, Water/Sewer District, Economic Development Industrial Corporation, a public body created by legislative act, etc. Regional Planning Agencies may also be eligible applicants if applying on behalf of a clearly identified and eligible public entity or entities within their assigned region, with clear and evident support from those communities. Applications must be submitted by a single lead applicant. However, a lead applicant may submit a joint application in partnership with one or more other eligible applicant(s).
