This funding opportunity provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in South King County that offer emergency shelter services for families experiencing homelessness, focusing on best practices in care and service delivery.

The Governor and the General Assembly direct the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to administer grants for specific miscellaneous purposes to bolster the state’s economy, promote a clean environment, and improve the overall quality of life throughout the state of Illinois. This grant program is available to any entity receiving funding via lump sum appropriation. Eligible costs for this program are bondable costs associated with the acquisition of land and/or buildings. This includes acquisition costs of all improved or unimproved real property including appraisal fees; title opinions; surveying fees; real estate fees; title transfer taxes; condemnation; and related legal expenses. The Washington Emergency Management Division Human Services Program works with Federal, State, and Local partners to support disaster preparedness and recovery for Washington’s individuals, households, and businesses. Programs include: The Individual Assistance Program (IA): IA is the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) program to support individual and business recovery and is authorized through a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration. Limited English Proficiency Program: The LEP program supports language accessibility for individuals, families and businesses by working with state and local governments and community organizations to promote preparedness activities in communities around the state. The Rural Population Health Incubator Program, administered by the Office of Rural Health (ORH), aims to enhance community health in rural Oregon by offering grants that support population health and health equity initiatives. This program consolidates previous grant offerings into a singular initiative that provides larger grants and comprehensive support throughout the grant cycle. This program provides training and support for small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations in Iowa focused on arts, culture, history, and humanities to help them overcome unique challenges.

Comcast RISE is a grant program established in 2020 to aid small businesses severely affected by COVID-19, helping them to recover and flourish. The program returned in 2024, expanding its reach to a broader spectrum of small businesses while maintaining its core focus on diversity, inclusion, and community investment. Its overarching mission is to foster economic growth within businesses and their communities, aligning with a strategic priority to support underserved or underrepresented small business owners. The program specifically targets small businesses that are at least 51% owned by an individual aged 18 or older who is the primary decision-maker, actively engaged in daily operations, and whose business is independently owned, not a franchise, has been operating for at least three years, and has been revenue-generating for at least 12 months. It also specifies geographical locations in Atlanta, GA; Southern Colorado; Houston, TX; Jacksonville, FL; and Richmond, VA. Businesses with more than 100 employees or those falling into categories like non-profits, religious organizations, political advertisers, or businesses related to marijuana, firearms, tobacco, or adult entertainment are ineligible. In 2024, Comcast RISE aims to award 500 recipients across five cities with a comprehensive grant package. This package includes a $5,000 monetary grant, a creative and media campaign valued at approximately $17,500, a technology makeover with an approximate retail value of $7,500, access to 12 months of LinkedIn Learning for business education, and business consultation services. The focus is on providing tangible resources that directly contribute to the growth and sustainability of small businesses. The expected outcomes and measurable results include direct financial support through the cash grant, enhanced market presence and customer reach through the media campaign, improved operational efficiency and digital capabilities via the technology makeover, and strengthened business acumen through educational resources and consultation. The theory of change posits that by providing a multi-faceted support system, Comcast RISE empowers small businesses to overcome challenges, achieve sustained growth, create jobs, and contribute to the economic vitality of their local communities, ultimately fostering a more diverse and inclusive business landscape.

General Program Support (GPS) funding, provided by the Florida Department of State, aims to support Florida's arts and cultural organizations, both public and private, by funding their general program activities rather than specific projects. This aligns with the state's cultural objectives to promote, create, and present cultural exhibits, performances, educational programs, and events, or to provide professional services as a State Service Organization or Local Arts Agency. The program's mission is to further the state's cultural landscape and ensure access to arts and culture across Florida. The target beneficiaries of the GPS funding include a wide range of arts and cultural organizations. This encompasses organizations promoting excellence in arts education, those focusing on specific disciplines like dance, literature, media arts, museum, music, presenter, theatre, traditional arts, and visual arts, as well as designated Local Arts Agencies (LAAs) and State Service Organizations (SSOs). LAAs are public entities supporting arts and culture through advocacy and information dissemination, while SSOs are non-profit organizations providing services in at least 40 Florida counties. The impact goals are to enhance cultural programming, foster arts education, support local and statewide arts infrastructure, and ensure a vibrant arts and cultural sector throughout Florida. The program prioritizes various types of support, offering four main categories: Arts in Education program support, Discipline-based program support, Local Arts Agency program support, and State Service Organization program support. Specific eligibility criteria are in place, with higher funding requests ($25,000+ and $50,000+) requiring a history of completed grants with the Division of Arts and Culture, and for requests over $50,000, at least three years of completed programming and one paid, full-time staff member in a management position. Additional specific requirements exist for Arts in Education organizations (arts education mission), Museum disciplines (open 180 days/year, own/utilize objects, exhibit regularly), Professional Theatre (compensate artistic staff/actors), Local Arts Agencies (official designation in one or more counties), and State Service Organizations (reach at least 40 counties). The expected outcomes of the GPS funding include a stronger, more active arts and cultural community across Florida, increased access to diverse cultural experiences for residents and visitors, and sustained support for organizations vital to the state's cultural identity. Measurable results would include the number of cultural exhibits, performances, educational programs, or events conducted, the reach and impact of State Service Organizations and Local Arts Agencies, and the overall health and stability of funded arts and cultural organizations as evidenced by their programming and operational capacity. The grant period is July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with grant sizes ranging from $1,000 to $150,000 based on proposal type and funding level. The Florida Department of State's strategic priority is to advance the cultural objectives of the state. The theory of change behind GPS funding posits that by providing general program support to qualified arts and cultural organizations, these organizations will be better equipped to conduct, create, produce, present, and sponsor cultural activities and educational programs. This, in turn, will lead to a more culturally enriched populace and stronger local and statewide arts ecosystems. The emphasis on general program support over specific projects reflects a belief that empowering organizations to pursue their core missions will yield more sustainable and far-reaching cultural benefits for Florida.

This funding opportunity provides financial support to Kansas cities and counties for the construction or renovation of childcare and early education facilities that primarily benefit low- and moderate-income families.

The Tourist Information Center (TIC) Grant Program supports nonprofit tourism organizations, municipalities, and Native American tribes that operate regional tourist information centers. Eligible expenses include staffing costs for the TIC, promotional materials, and standard display equipment like racks or shelving. Notice of Funding Availability - FY24 Arizona Automobile Theft Authority AATA Grant programs are available for Law Enforcement, Training and Theft Prevention projects to Arizona Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice agencies. End of FY24 AATA Grant funding available prior to June 30, 2024.  Grant extensions may be requested beyond June 30th to allow for procurement and program implementation. Grant applications require the approval of the AATA Board of Directors. The Virginia Small Business Financing Authority (VSBFA), part of the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity, offers a range of financial programs to support the growth and expansion of businesses, not-for-profits, and economic development authorities within Virginia. These programs include direct loans to businesses and non-profits, credit enhancements for banks lending to these entities, bond financing for businesses and non-profits, and an equity incentive grant program to attract investments in small businesses. Over its 30+ year history, VSBFA has helped many Virginia businesses access the capital needed for expansion and job creation in the Commonwealth.

The Town of St. Johnsbury's 2024-25 Rental Housing Improvement Program is a reimbursement grant designed to encourage landlords to enhance rental housing within St. Johnsbury. The program aims to create more livable, sustainable, and marketable rental units for all residents. Measurable results will include the completion of approved capital improvement projects, with each unit eligible for a maximum grant of $6,000, and a single property owner able to receive up to three awards per year. The program ensures accountability through a detailed application process requiring budget estimates, inspections by the Town Code Compliance Officer, and adherence to various property and tax requirements before funds are released.

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) is offering the Fiscal Year 2025 Public Art Building Communities (PABC) Grant Program. This program aims to support individual artists and organizations in the creation and installation of new permanent or temporary public art works. The core mission of the PABC grant is to connect artists and their artwork with communities, fostering cultural enrichment and engagement within the District of Columbia. CAH's strategic priorities for this grant align with encouraging high-quality public art, developing meaningful artist-community connections, and promoting diverse artistic expressions that resonate with DC residents. The primary target beneficiaries of this grant program are experienced individual artists, arts-related professionals (such as presenters, producers, and educators) residing in the District of Columbia, and eligible nonprofit organizations or Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) operating within DC. The impact goals are multifaceted, seeking to provide exposure and participation to the community in the public art-making process, further learning or discovery opportunities through public art installations, and ultimately contribute to the District of Columbia’s public art collection. The PABC grant program prioritizes the creation of original, high-quality public art works within the District of Columbia. A key focus is on supporting the creation of public art by DC resident artists, ensuring that local talent is nurtured and showcased. The program also emphasizes the promotion of robust and diverse artistic expressions that genuinely connect with and reflect the experiences of DC residents. For organizations, demonstrating a partnership with a visual artist to design, fabricate, and install the proposed artwork in a public space is a crucial requirement. Expected outcomes include an increase in the number of high-quality public art installations throughout the District of Columbia, stronger connections between artists and the communities they serve, and enhanced community participation in and appreciation for public art. Measurable results could involve tracking the number of grants awarded, the types and locations of art installations, the number of community members engaged, and the overall contribution to DC's public art collection. CAH's theory of change is that by investing in public art, they can enrich the cultural landscape, foster community engagement, and provide platforms for artistic expression and learning within the District.

The Bioprocessing Research Infrastructure Program is a grant aimed at enhancing Illinois' bioprocessing sector by funding the development of infrastructure, capital equipment, technical staff, and providing affordable access to facilities for businesses and students.

The Illinois Energy Transition Navigators Program, funded by the state's Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, aims to establish a network of community-based providers throughout Illinois to facilitate community education, outreach, and recruitment. These providers will connect individuals to clean energy workforce and contractor development programs, with a focus on equity investment eligible communities and individuals. The program has a budget of $6 million and expects to award 13 grants ranging from $250,000 to $600,000. It targets specific hub regions and operates on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis.

Working with Railroads comprise funding and project efforts that engage the Commision and staff in the business and support of an effective rail service as the key connection for Ohio companies to their suppliers and markets worldwide, Rail is often a requirement for business attraction and retention efforts. The Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) promotes economic opportunities while supporting safety and quality of life concerns across Ohio's extensive rail infrastructure. At 5,187 miles, Ohio's network of active rail lines is the fourth most extensive in the nation. The high mileage of rail lines in Ohio reflects the close integration of rail with Ohio's economy. Ohio's businesses are committed to using Ohio's rail network. Ohio's largest railroads, CSX and Norfolk Southern, publish Public Projects Manuals to assist public entities in interacting with their organizations. Regional and short-line railroads often publish information on their websites to identify appropriate processes and contacts. If needed, ORDC is happy to assist Ohio communities with identifying the correct railroad contacts. The ORDC assists with railroad-roadway coordination by providing technical assistance to ODOT District project managers and area engineers, local municipalities, contractors, and others regarding railroad issues and requirements for public projects.

This program provides funding to public school districts and area career and technical schools for necessary improvements to their facilities.
