Monetary resources dedicated to assisting communities across the state develop and train entrepreneurs and small business owners in three broad and diverse categories. Combines Previous Microenterprise and Main Street Entrepreneur Grants into one program. Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development encourages entrepreneurship development and adaptive reuse of commercial buildings in accredited Tennessee Main Street communities with a Main Street Entrepreneur Incubator grant program to assist in funding activities that put vacant and/or underutilized buildings into productive service and serve as economic drivers for downtowns. Matching funds are not required but the scoring system rewards projects that include other partners or agencies or additional funding commitments.

The SFY 2025 Police Accountability Community and Transparency (PACT) Grant Program, funded by the State of Maryland and managed by the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, aims to support law enforcement in developing effective accountability procedures to enhance lawfulness, legitimacy, and community relations. The Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) announces funding availability for the FY2022 and FY2023 HUD Recovery Housing Program funds totaling $1,924,820 for Arizona's Balance of State. This grant aims to provide a voluntary, safe, substance-free, and temporary living environment for up to 24 months for low-income individuals recovering from substance use disorders. The program supports the construction, acquisition, and/or rehabilitation of recovery housing facilities and emphasizes wrap-around services in a non-treatment setting. Eligible activities must be ready for implementation within 30 days of the funding agreement, with priority given to projects in counties with higher drug overdose mortality rates. The application deadline is June 14, 2024, and applications will be accepted immediately.

IDHS is seeking to fund entities with experience in training, technical assistance, and support to build the RPSA grantee’s program capacities. Successful applicants will work with grantees across multiple RPSA grant programs in Chicago and/or Greater Illinois, based on grantee selection. To address the spike in firearm violence, the Illinois General Assembly passed the Reimagine Public Safety Act (RPSA) (430 ILCS 69) in 2021. The RPSA creates a comprehensive approach to ending Illinois' firearm violence through targeted, integrated behavioral health services and economic opportunities that promote self-sufficiency for victims of firearm violence.

The State of Illinois administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) which helps low-income individuals obtain proper access to food and nutrition. States must also provide employment and training services (E&T) to SNAP program participants. The SNAP JP/SNAP to Success is a program to help customers acquire education and employment related skills and to assist in finding and maintaining employment and is a federally funded SNAP E&T program. The program also helps customers with work-related expenses and continued case management for 90 days after obtaining a job, through their participation in SNAP E&T. Participation in SNAP E&T enables participants to gain education, work skills and work experience, to meet the federal work requirement, and to improve self-sufficiency. The purpose of SNAP E&T is to help individuals receiving SNAP benefits obtain employment through participation in supervised job search, skills training, education and work-based learning activities that lead to greater independence and self-sufficiency. The program is open to any SNAP recipient who volunteers to participate in SNAP E&T to improve their skills or advance in their career. The program delivers services through grants and a third-party reimbursement model, which consists of contractual partnerships between the State of Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) and community-based organizations (CBOs). Individuals will participate in specific components based upon their individual assessments, identifying strengths and areas for development. All individuals who participate in the SNAP JP/SNAP to Success program must participate in an approved, appropriate component based on their individual assessment and receive case management.
