The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program provides funding for a broad range of land protection and outdoor recreation, including local and state parks, trails, water access, and the conservation and restoration of state land. The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program was envisioned as a way for the state to accomplish two goals: acquire valuable recreation and habitat lands before they were lost to other uses and develop recreation areas for a growing population. This landmark legislation passed in 1990 and the grant program's continued funding have come about through the support of governors, the Legislature, and groups such as the many organizations comprising the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition.

This funding opportunity provides financial support to locomotive owners in Minnesota for implementing technologies that reduce idle time and diesel emissions, improving air quality and public health.

This competitive grant offering is designed to fund construction projects that establish new or expand existing HHW programs in California. HHW construction projects do not qualify for CalRecycle grant funding unless they are past the design phase of the project and are prepared for construction (shovel ready). Applicants must have completed proper site analysis, conceptual design and most of the local approval processes. The permitting, licensing and siting approval process must be well underway. Applicants must provide documentation by providing a completed General Checklist of Business Permits, Licenses and Filings form (CalRecycle 669). The applicant must convincingly indicate that they are beyond the planning phase of the construction project and can successfully complete the HHW construction project before the Grant Term ends (date of Notice to Proceed email to September 30, 2026). Grant applications must indicate one of the following types of projects: (1) Construction of a new Permanent HHW Collection Facility or Recycle-Only HHW Collection Facility; or (2) A construction project that expands/upgrades an existing Permanent HHW Collection Facility or Recycle-Only Collection Facility. A Resolution is required by the secondary due date.  

The Clean Vessel Act (CVA) Program is a competitive federal grant initiative aiming to mitigate pollution in the nation's waterways. The program, funded through the Federal Sport Fish Restoration Account of the Aquatic Resources Trust Fund, allocates about $10 million annually across the United States. The CVA Program supports the construction, renovation, operation, and maintenance of pump-out and dump stations, including floating restrooms and facilities used exclusively by boaters. It also emphasizes educating the public about the environmental impacts of vessel sewage discharges, thereby promoting cleaner water bodies. The program encourages partnerships with private marinas, businesses, and local government units to establish these facilities. With an application deadline of September 1st, eligible entities include private marinas or businesses with public access and local units of government. Grant renewed every year. The CIG Program is a competitive pass-through subgrant program made possible by a grant to Georgia DNR from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) through Congressional funding pursuant to the Coastal Zone Management Act. These subgrants may be awarded to qualified county and municipal governments, regional commissions, state-affiliated research or educational institutions, or state agencies (except GDNR), provided the project takes place entirely within the eleven-county service area of the program. The CIG Program service area includes Brantley, Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Charlton, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh and Wayne counties.

The RTP is a federal assistance program that provides funds to states for the development and maintenance of recreational trails and related facilities for both motorized and nonmotorized recreational trail uses. Funded through the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act for Federal fiscal years 2016 through 2020, the program supports a broad spectrum of trail activities such as maintenance, restoration, construction, and acquisition of land for recreational trails. The State of Maine participates in the RTP and has designated the Bureau of Parks and Lands to administer the program, focusing on projects that enhance public access, connectivity, and utilization of trails.

This program provides funding and support to local governments in New York State to implement clean energy initiatives that promote economic growth and environmental sustainability.

The Employment Development Department (EDD), in coordination with the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency (LWDA), announces the availability of up to $1 million in California State General Funds for the Evaluation and Technical Assistance (ETA) for the Displaced Oil and Gas Worker Fund (DOGWF). The DOGWF ETA PY 23-24 awardee will be responsible for providing evaluation and technical assistance for DOGWF PY 23-24 program awardees as they pioneer initiatives that guide displaced oil and gas workers into new jobs and career trajectories by extending beyond singular sectors, committed to securing stable, well-compensated, and gratifying roles for these workers across diverse industries. The DOGWF ETA PY 23-24 grant aims to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of DOGWF projects. The initiative seeks to fund an organization with expertise in assessing program and operational capacity, facilitating Communities of Practice (CoPs), conducting a developmental evaluation for continuous learning and improvement, and addressing the needs of displaced workers impacted by energy sector shifts for future policy and program planning. In addition, the ETA awardee will support program grantees with developing and implementing strategies for partnership development, participant assessment, skills transfer, career navigation, administering training stipends, providing wrap-around support, identifying relevant career pathways and training programs, and guidance on participant tracking and performance outcomes reporting. Applicants for the DOGWF ETA must be organizations with the capacity, relationships, and expertise to deliver ETA to grantees across the state. Proposals from non-profit or for-profit consulting, technical assistance, evaluation, capacity-building organizations, labor organizations, community colleges, adult education providers, workforce boards, and education and training providers will be accepted. The Natural Heritage Conservation Act (NHCA) Program, facilitated by the State of New Mexico's Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department, Forestry Division, seeks applications for conservation projects. Eligible entities include state agencies, public educational institutions, political subdivisions of the state, nations, tribes, or pueblos, with tax-exempt private nonprofit charitable corporations or trusts allowed to partner but not apply directly.
