Toward that goal, the program seeks to fund projects that will enhance progress toward the below priorities. However, innovative, evidence-based projects outside of these priorities, which are aimed at reducing firearm and gang violence, will also be considered: Group Violence Intervention (GVI): Strategies and programs that promote prevention and intervention by forming partnerships between law enforcement, local government, and the community. GVI includes community members with moral authority connecting with group members or individuals susceptible to violence to deliver a credible moral message against violence. Law enforcement puts groups on prior notice about the consequences of further group-involved violence for the group, and support and outreach providers make a genuine offer of help for those who want it. Gun and Gang Crime Investigation/Suppression: Programs (or task forces) to focus on perpetrators of gun and gang-related crimes. This can include the illegal possession of firearms, the illegal sale of guns, or other crimes committed to benefit a “gang.” Multiagency cooperation should be demonstrated (e.g., both state and federal involvement). Firearms Analysis: Programs that should enhance and provide support for state and local law enforcement agencies that analyze firearms and ballistic evidence (including NIBIN analysis and tracing of firearms). Prevention and Reentry Programs: Programs dedicated to violent crime prevention and the identification of persons at high risk of offending (e.g., educational, faith-based, community-oriented, outreach, etc.). Additionally, programs dedicated to the successful reentry of offenders with housing, educational, and vocational partnerships. The Local Government Efficiency (LGE) Grant program is intended to incentivize new actions between local governments that will reduce the cost of municipal operations and modernize the delivery of local services, thereby limiting growth in property taxes. The Workplace Safety Grants for Health Care Entities program, authorized by 2023 Session Law Chapter 70, Article 4, Section 109, is established to award grants to increase safety measures in health care settings and establish or expand programs to train staff in health care settings on de-escalation and positive support services. The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) is offering $325 million in grants for clean and drinking water projects to selected municipalities with infrastructure projects that protect public health and/or water quality. WIIA Clean Water Projects An applicant with an eligible clean water project may receive a WIIA grant award as described below: A project, including all phases of the project, may be awarded the lesser of $25 million or 25% of net eligible project costs (total eligible project costs less any third-party grants awarded in respect of the project) Any grants administered through EFC will not be used to calculate net eligible project costs. Projects serving small, rural, and disadvantaged communities with a population of 3,500 or less may qualify for an enhanced WIIA award which will fund 50% of net eligible project costs. If a municipality applies for more than one project during the current round, EFC will prioritize the awards based on the scores of the projects until all the projects have received 25% of net eligible project costs or the $5 million cap per municipality has been reached. If the highest scoring project submitted by the municipality is awarded a grant that exceeds $5 million, the remaining applications will not be eligible for additional grant in the current round. WIIA Drinking Water Projects An applicant with an eligible drinking water project may receive WIIA grant funding as described below: A project addressing an emerging contaminant (EC) above the current State determined Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) may be awarded 70% of net eligible project costs with no cap. All other projects, which include all phases of the project, and including a project that addresses an EC below the State MCL may be awarded the lesser of $5 million or 60% of net eligible project costs. A Municipality may apply for a WIIA grant on more than one project, but each municipality is limited to receiving no more than $5 million per year, unless they have a project(s) that address an EC above the current State determined MCL. IMG Clean Water and Drinking Water Projects Cooperating municipalities with an eligible project may receive an IMG grant award as described below: The lesser of $30 million or 40% of net eligible project costs. A municipality is limited to receiving one IMG grant per year. If a municipality is awarded grant funds totaling more than $10 million for a project the grant(s) will be allocated over multiple years in increments not to exceed $10 million per year. Eligibility Criteria A WIIA grant or IMG grant is available only to a municipality, which is defined to include a county, city, town, village, district corporation, county or town improvement district, school district, Indian nation or tribe recognized by the state or the United States with a reservation wholly or partly within the boundaries of New York State, any public benefit corporation or public authority established pursuant to the laws of New York or any agency of the State that is empowered to construct and operate a water quality infrastructure project. Eligible projects include water quality infrastructure projects at municipally-owned sewage treatment works2 OR municipally-owned public water systems3 for: Construction, replacement, or repair of infrastructure; or Upgrades to comply with environmental and public health laws and regulations related to water quality; System upgrades and innovative pilot technologies to combat one or more EC, such as PFOA, PFOS and 1,4 dioxane; and System upgrades to address combined and/or sanitary sewer overflow impacts from sustained rain events Each WIIA and IMG project must meet the following criteria:  Result in construction for the requested scope; Not be for the construction of infrastructure that exclusively supports residential or commercial development; Must not have issued a Notice to Proceed before October 1, 2022 for construction of the project; Not have completed construction before June 14, 2024; and Include the applicable EFC terms and conditions in all contracts. Each IMG project must meet the following criteria: Serve multiple municipalities; Be a shared drinking water or sewage treatment infrastructure project, such as: More than one municipality jointly undertaking a capital improvement project, Consolidation of intermunicipal facilities, Joint upgrades to shared water quality infrastructure, Regional wastewater or water facilities, or Interconnection of multiple municipal water systems. Have a valid and binding project Intermunicipal Agreement (IMA) between at least two cooperating municipalities for the financing and implementation of the IMG project that describes the proposed project, the role of each municipality, and the costs attributable to each municipality; and Designate a “lead municipality” that applies on behalf of all cooperating municipalities. The SFY 2025 Police Recruitment and Retention (PRAR) Grant Program, funded by the State of Maryland's Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, is designed to support state and local law enforcement agencies in their efforts to recruit and retain qualified sworn police officers. The FY23-24 Drone Replacement Program is funded by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to assist agencies in replacing non-compliant drones with those from approved manufacturers. The program was established following the 2022 amendment of Section 934.50, Florida Statutes, mandating agencies using non-compliant drones to replace them by specific deadlines. Eligible agencies will receive funds based on the initial purchase price and total flight hours of the non-compliant drones, following a detailed depreciation schedule. Recipients are required to relinquish the non-compliant drones in working condition to FDLE, which will then be analyzed by the Florida Center for Cybersecurity at the University of South Florida. The SFY 2025 Violence Intervention and Prevention Program (VIPP) Grant, managed by the State of Maryland's Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, is dedicated to preventing and reducing gun violence through the support of competitive grants funding evidence-based or evidence-informed health programs. This initiative aligns with the Office’s objectives to develop coordinated criminal justice strategies and enhance data availability to support data-driven decisions. Grantees are required to report on collaborative efforts and data collected throughout the award period, with this information publicly shared on the Office’s website. The VIPP aims to implement effective violence reduction strategies by investing in programs that demonstrate measurable positive outcomes in preventing gun violence, utilizing public health principles and scientific research. The grant prioritizes funding for programs that have been operational for 1 or 2 years, with new applicants considered based on available funding. The anticipated funding pool is $2,768,000, intending to award up to 15 grants ranging from $50,000 to $400,000 each.

The SFY 2025 Local Warrant Apprehension & Absconding Grant Program (WAAG), funded by the State of Maryland's Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, aims to support local law enforcement agencies in reducing the number of open warrants, particularly those for violent crimes, and in apprehending individuals who have absconded from court-ordered drug and/or alcohol treatment facilities. The program is designed to improve the quality of life and create safer communities by reducing violent crime through the effective apprehension of wanted individuals. This initiative supports coordinated criminal justice strategies and enhances data availability for informed decision-making. The program anticipates a minimum of $2,000,000 in grant funding and plans to make up to 35 awards ranging from $10,000 to $150,000. Applications that do not meet the minimum or exceed the maximum award allocation may be removed during the initial technical review. Notice of Funding Availability - FY24 Arizona Automobile Theft Authority AATA Grant programs are available for Law Enforcement, Training and Theft Prevention projects to Arizona Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice agencies.
