The SFY 2025 Domestic Violence Unit Pilot Program (DVUP), funded by the State of Maryland through the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, aims to significantly reduce or minimize the time between the issuance of interim and temporary protective orders and their entry into the Maryland Electronic Telecommunications Enforcement Resource System/National Crime Information Center (METERS/NCIC). This initiative supports the office's objective of enhancing the availability and speed of information to support data-driven approaches to criminal justice issues in Maryland. The Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) has identified the need to provide community-based care services in a proposed community that includes support services to all Children and families that support safety, permanency, and well-being of Children in its legal conservatorship. DFPS sees a service delivery model that fully engages communities in serving Children, Youth, and families provided through a performance-based Single Source Continuum Contract (SSCC) as the approach that can most effectively meet this need in a manner that achieves improved outcomes for Children in its conservatorship. The SSCC provider must ensure the full continuum of substitute care (foster and kinship care), purchased services, case management and reunification services for Children and Youth in DFPS legal conservatorship from the designated geographic proposed community, those placed in the proposed community through the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC), and through interregional agreements.

AUTOMOBILE THEFT PREVENTION AUTHORITY (ATPA) GRANT APPLICATION OVERVIEW The Automobile Theft Prevention Authority (ATPA), established in 1986, aims to reduce motor vehicle theft in Michigan. Through competitive grants, the ATPA funds programs targeting motor vehicle theft reduction. Grant funds are exclusively allocated for this purpose. The SFY 2025 Community Grant Program Fund (CGPF), managed by the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy (previously the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention Youth and Victim Services), aims to support local law enforcement and local government agencies in Maryland in developing community outreach and violence intervention programs. This initiative is designed to enhance public safety by fostering improved relationships between law enforcement and community members, particularly the youth. The CGPF seeks proposals for programs that offer recreational or athletic opportunities, improve resident-law enforcement relations, or otherwise benefit the community. Eligible activities may include police/community events, programs for School Resource Officers, partnerships with community groups, mentorship programs, and established community programs provided by outside organizations. The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is making up to $2 million in State Apprenticeship Expansion Formula (SAEF) funding available under the Direct Entry Pre-Apprenticeship Programs (DEPA) Request for Applications (RFA). The purpose of the RFA is to: 1. Provide funding for DEPA programs to support approximately 300 participants; and2. Eligible Projects Eligible projects must: Provide services directly to victims of crime. Utilize the Victims Services Data Collection System (VSDCS) to document direct services provided by grant funded staff and volunteers. Promote within the community collaboration efforts to serve and aid crime victims and leverage resources. Assist victims of crime in seeking crime victim compensation benefits. Recipients of the VWGP must assist victims in seeking Virginia Victims Fund (VVF) benefits, including maintaining a supply of VVF brochures and applications, establishing procedures to identify clients who may be eligible for compensation, ensuring that all VOCA-funded staff are familiar with VVF, assisting clients with the application process, and checking on claim statuses Utilize volunteers in grant funded project activities and maintain documentation onsite of volunteer efforts. Provide program information to agencies that assist with victims of crime in the service delivery area. Maintain statutorily required civil rights statistics on victims served by race or national origin, sex, age, and disability, within the grant period and permit access to any documents, papers, and records to determine that the subgrantee is complying with applicable civil rights laws. The Opioid Abatement Fund Council (OAFC) seeks to combat opioid overdoses in Texas by awarding funds to implement a statewide program that will distribute the opioid overdose reversal medication naloxone where it is needed most, and provide related training, including airway clearance techniques. The Texas Legislature created the OAFC in 2021 to ensure funds collected through lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies are used fairly and efficiently to combat the opioid crisis in Texas. The OAFC is made up of 13 appointed experts and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) as the non-voting presiding officer. Grant Amount: Up to $25 million Up to $25 million is available for this grant opportunity: approximately $18.75 million for the purchase of naloxone and providing related training, with nearly $3.13 million for administrative costs and another $3.13 million for interventions in targeted counties. The expected term of the grant agreement is an initial two years, with three possible two-year renewal periods for a total project length of eight years. The grant recipient will receive funds on a reimbursement basis. Eligibility Texas governmental entities, nonprofit organizations and any entity registered with the Texas Secretary of State and eligible to conduct business in Texas are eligible to apply. Funding will be awarded to one applicant to implement the program statewide, but applicants may use qualified subcontractors or subgrantees. Companies that paid funds or currently are involved in opioid abatement lawsuits are disqualified from applying. Applicants and subcontractors must also not be subject to the general disqualifications, such as being included on the CPA debarred vendor’s list or having a conflict of interest with the OAFC. Grant applicants may submit a written request for CPA’s preliminary review of any potential conflict of interest by March 18, 2024, to [email protected]. Application and Award Process Applicants must complete an application form, including fully developed and detailed proposals and budgets, through the OAFC’s grant management system by May 7, 2024. After the review process is complete, the OAFC will vote on the final grant award.
