The Sexual Assault Services Program provides intervention, advocacy, accompaniment (i.e., accompanying victims to court, medical facilities, police departments, etc.), support services, and related assistance for adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault, family and household members of victims, and those collaterally affected by the sexual assault. SASP, created by the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005, 42 U.S.C. §14043g, is the first federal funding stream solely dedicated to the provision of direct intervention and related assistance for victims of sexual assault. SASP provides intervention, advocacy, accompaniment (i.e., accompanying victims to court, medical facilities, police departments, etc.), support services, and related assistance for adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault, family and household members of victims, and those collaterally affected by the sexual assault. Rape crisis centers play a vital role in assisting sexual assault victims through the healing process, as well as assisting victims through the medical, criminal justice, and other social support systems. In order to provide comprehensive services to victims of sexual assault, SASP assists states in supporting rape crisis centers in the provision of direct intervention and related assistance.

This program provides financial support for specialized training to law enforcement agencies in Maryland, enhancing their skills in crime prevention, investigation, and victim services.

This grant aims to supplement police protection resources in local communities through a formula-driven funding program. It supports operational costs of local police agencies, sharing costs between the State and its municipalities based on population factors and previous year's operational costs​​.

The program supports full service sexual assault crisis programs across Maryland, providing services to victims of rape and sexual offenses. It aims to improve victim services, ensuring safety, and making the community aware of rights and resources​​. The Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis Grant Program is funded through state general funds to support local rape crisis centers. Services are provided through a network of community-based rape crisis programs and are available in every jurisdiction in Maryland. These funds are used to provide services to adult and child victims of rape and other sexual offenses. Services to victims include a 24-hour hotline, counseling, medical accompaniment, and assistance in accessing and using other support services such as legal assistance.

The program, with a funding availability of $3.5 million, is designed to enhance the testing of sexual assault kits to aid in the prosecution and investigation of sexual assault cases. It supports both the Maryland State Police and local law enforcement agencies, focusing on kits collected since May 1, 2018, to help improve victim services and address the backlog of untested kits​​.

The 2023 Property Tax Relief Grant is a one-time grant proposed by Governor Brian Kemp to refund $950 million in property taxes to homestead owners in Georgia. The grant, also known as the Homestead Tax Relief Grant, was signed into law on March 13, 2023. The Department of Revenue has been allocated $950 million to reduce the assessed value of Georgia homesteads by $18,000. To receive the grant, property owners will see a $18,000 reduction in the assessed value of their property. Local tax officials will notify the Department of Revenue of the anticipated revenue, and the Department of Revenue will issue credits to the local taxing authorities. The grant does not apply to rental properties and is only available to homesteads claimed by Georgia taxpayers before the April 1 deadline. It is important to note that the Property Tax Relief Grant is different from a homestead exemption. Georgia offers various homestead exemptions, including exemptions for seniors over 65, disabled veterans, and surviving spouses of public safety officers. The grant program was created in the late 1990s and discontinued after the 2008 Recession, but it has been reinstated due to the State's excess reserves. The grant does not provide a paper check or direct deposit, but rather appears as a reduction on the property tax bill.

The JAG program, created by the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988 (Public Law 100-690), emphasizes controlling violent and drug-related crime and serious offenders, and fosters multi-jurisdictional and multi-state efforts to support national drug-control policies. This grant program provides funding for projects which assist local and state government and non-profit agencies in their efforts to reduce violent crime and illegal drug activities, improve the criminal justice system and support local, state and national priorities.

This grant path focuses on the prevention of unintentional and intentional firearm-related harm through education and community outreach specifically around safe storage and Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs). The goal is to reduce unauthorized firearm access and educate at-risk individuals and their communities about temporary out-of-home gun storage options. Projects under this path should focus on promoting, educating, and providing access to firearm safe storage and/or lethal means counseling. Additionally, they should educate the public on ERPOs as a legal mechanism for temporarily reducing access to firearms for individuals deemed at risk of harming themselves or others. OAJJA: Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program Overview: The Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program provides funding to support county jails in onboarding and integrating with the Colorado Trusted Interoperability Platform (CTIP). This initiative aims to exchange behavioral health, housing, and demographic information with the Colorado Integrated Criminal Justice Information System (CICJIS) to ensure continuity of care for individuals transitioning between criminal justice agencies and the community. Program Description: Purpose of the Funds: The goal of the Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program, established by SB22-196, is to facilitate the exchange of behavioral health, housing, and demographic information with CICJIS. This exchange will be accomplished by establishing an information exchange platform within CICJIS to improve criminal justice, health, and safety outcomes. Statutory Authority: 24-33.5-532. Behavioral health information and data-sharing in the criminal justice system. Eligibility: Every Colorado county is eligible for a grant. Counties lacking an existing electronic jail management system infrastructure may face challenges in completing required activities. Eligible Activities: Integrating county jail data systems with CICJIS. Standardizing client-specific information through common data fields. Automating data reporting required by state and federal law. Required Application Components: All grant applications must address the following: Justifiable project costs. Plans to use technology meeting state standards. Addition of all data exchange requirements to the applicant's jail management system.
