The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) is accepting grant applications to provide intranasal naloxone to first responders in rural counties. Only first responders who provide services in rural counties are eligible to receive the naloxone doses. For grant purposes, “first responders” includes (professional and volunteer) firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, or other legally organized and recognized volunteer organizations that respond to adverse opioid-related incidents. Please email the naloxone program manager if you think your agency might be considered a first responder agency and is not listed. First responder organizations that receive naloxone doses will be responsible for administering the doses and reporting their use to IDOH through the required methods.

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Workforce Development (LEO-WD) is offering a grant opportunity called the Martin Luther King, Jr. - César Chávez - Rosa Parks (KCP) Initiative, Select Student Support Services (4S) funding. The FY24 New Jersey Youth Corps (NJYC) Continuation Grant is a grant opportunity available to current FY 2023 NJYC grantees. The purpose of the grant is to implement a statewide coordinated service system to assist disconnected out-of-school youth, aged 16-25, without a high school diploma, in reengaging with educational, training, and employment opportunities for long-term career development. The NJYC program will provide full-time, cohort-based education, community service learning projects, individual counseling, and transition services to help Corpsmembers overcome barriers, obtain a high school diploma or measurable skill gain, and transition to a qualified post-corps placement along a career pathway. The grant program will run from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, and is part of a 4-year grant cycle. The funds awarded through this grant can be used for various purposes related to the NJYC program. The 2023 Property Tax Relief Grant is a one-time grant proposed by Governor Brian Kemp to refund $950 million in property taxes to homestead owners in Georgia. The grant, also known as the Homestead Tax Relief Grant, was signed into law on March 13, 2023. The Department of Revenue has been allocated $950 million to reduce the assessed value of Georgia homesteads by $18,000. To receive the grant, property owners will see a $18,000 reduction in the assessed value of their property. Local tax officials will notify the Department of Revenue of the anticipated revenue, and the Department of Revenue will issue credits to the local taxing authorities. The grant does not apply to rental properties and is only available to homesteads claimed by Georgia taxpayers before the April 1 deadline. It is important to note that the Property Tax Relief Grant is different from a homestead exemption. Georgia offers various homestead exemptions, including exemptions for seniors over 65, disabled veterans, and surviving spouses of public safety officers. The grant program was created in the late 1990s and discontinued after the 2008 Recession, but it has been reinstated due to the State's excess reserves. The grant does not provide a paper check or direct deposit, but rather appears as a reduction on the property tax bill.

Participation allows producers to maximize farm profits, adapt to changing market situations, improve operation safety, increase farm efficiency, and make a positive economic impact in their communities.

Federally funded program to enhance competitiveness of specialty crops such as fruits, vegetables, grapes, horticultural, etc. The purpose of the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP) is to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops. Specialty crops are defined as “fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, horticulture, and nursery crops (including floriculture).” Projects must show a benefit to the specialty crop industry. This program is not designed for start-ups or projects that only benefit one operation. Universities, institutions, cooperatives, producers, industry, or community-based organizations may submit a proposal for funding. A review committee will select projects to be included in Tennessee’s state plan. This is a competitive program. Projects must directly impact multiple Tennessee producers.
