If applicable, the business must be in good standing with the Secretary of State. The business must have an active Business Tax Registration Certificate (BTRC) with the City of Los Angeles that is current and in good standing. The Level Up LB: Extreme Small Business Makeover and Grant Program aims to propel small businesses towards success and sustainability. An organization shall not be eligible for Community Services Grants if:  one or more members of the City Council are members of the board or officers of the organization;  the organization is currently involved in a law suit adverse to the City;  the organization engages in uses or activities prohibited by law or City ordinances;  the organization engages in activities that create a conflict of interest for the City; or  the organization engages in activities that are adverse to the health or safety of the community. By law, all Community Service Funding may only be spent for a public purpose for the City of Jurupa Valley and must comply with all applicable laws. City of Tehachapi Small Business Sign Grant Program (California) is offering grants ranging from $500 to $3,000 to assist small businesses in the City with installing or improving their signs.
