Applicant must have a marketing plan that clearly indicates out-of-market advertising or promotion. Applicant must track and report the number of out-of-county visitors served by the grant-funded programs. Cultural Tourism Marketing Grant Applicants who meet all the Cultural Grant requirements may request an additional $3,500 to support out-of-county marketing and promotion of arts and cultural programs. Local Community Grant The Local Community Grant funds programming expenses arts, culture, history or heritage organizations. Applicant programming must meet at least one of the following goals: Offer arts, history, or cultural programs with exemplary standards and objectives. Serve a special or diverse population or need, fill a unique niche or engage the community in the creative or artistic process. Eligibility Criteria  Applicants must be one of the following: A not-for-profit Florida corporation with at least 60% of your operating cash budget originating from earned income and classified by the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) as a 501I3, sub-class “public charity”. A state partner (i.e., a department, museum, or other organization working under the FEID number of a part of the State of Florida, Florida State University, Florida A&M University, or Tallahassee State College). Applicant must have a governing Board of Directors that meets regularly and operates under a set of by-laws. Applicant must be able to demonstrate the receipt of community support through subscriptions, memberships, earned income, foundation grants, and/or other private fundraising (including in- kind support). Applicant must have documented statistics on attendance and participation for your programs and/or facility (paid or free) that represent a broad community impact. The National Academy of Sciences Gulf Research Program is investing $50 million in the Gulf Futures Challenge to fund projects addressing critical challenges in the Gulf region. The Challenge aims to discover and promote innovative and transformative solutions by leveraging the talent and knowledge of the Gulf's people. The competition focuses on three main areas: energy transition, environmental change along the coast, and healthy and resilient communities. Up to ten finalists will receive up to $1 million in project development support, with two finalists awarded $20 million each to implement their solutions. Eligibility Criteria  The SCD Grant Program’s funding will be awarded to community-based sickle cell disease medical treatment and research centers operating in Florida. In addition, the following are applicable: All individuals, organizations, and agencies submitting an application for funding are advised that accepting state dollars under this RFA will require recipients’ compliance with all federal and state laws, executive orders, regulations, and policies governing these funds.  All vendors doing business with the State of Florida must have a completed W-9 on file with the Department of Financial Services. To be eligible to receive a grant, all corporations, limited liability companies, or partnerships, and their subcontractors/sub-recipients seeking to do business with the State shall be registered with the Florida Department of State in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 607, 608, 617, and 620, Florida Statutes. Project Requirements The proposal must explain and show how the applicant’s institution’s strategic priorities integrate the facility enhancement or the creation of a new center project. Demonstrate the organization’s experience and capacity for securing continued funding, contracting, and contract management. Describe the priorities for facility enhancement, including areas such as facility upgrades, service expansion, infrastructure, technology acquisition or upgrade, rehabilitation, engineering, facility equipping, facility site preparation, and construction. Projects focused on facility enhancement and the establishment of new centers must describe their establishment protocol or enhancement plan and management monitoring strategies.  Proposals for operations support for existing centers of excellence must emphasize an impact evaluation plan to measure health service utilization changes, outcomes and outcomes changes derived from the project implementation. Projects related to Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Centers of Excellence operations support must describe and demonstrate the current or proposed delivery model and benefits and be aligned with the Centers of Excellence concept.
