Activities should focus on education and mentorship opportunities in the Gulf of Mexico region that provide youth with opportunities to learn about and apply STEMM in the exploration and examination of environmental hazards and their effects on the health and resilience of communities, raising awareness and building capacity among youth to pursue STEMM studies and/or careers in the field of EJ. These activities may take place in formal or informal educational settings, should target youth in the 9-12 grade range, and be complementary to formal education standards and learning objectives. The majority of the available funds will support projects that are less than $500,000, and the remainder will support projects between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Award Duration Grants will be awarded to support projects up to 24 months in length. Eligibility Criteria For the purpose of this grant opportunity, applications will be accepted from all nonprofit and community-based organizations with 501(c)(3) status, which support educational, service, and/or coordination activities for youth in the 9-12 grade range. Preference will be given to applicants with a history of working with children and youth, particularly those who work with underrepresented or underserved populations, including but not limited to racial/ethnic minorities, tribal youth, LGBTQ+ youth, students demonstrating low socio-economic status as established by the free and reduced lunch program, children with disabilities, first-generation immigrants, students from rural or remote areas, and/or students experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Programmatic activities must occur in the United States Gulf of Mexico region. As of mid-March, 23 applicants had been approved for grants, leaving a total of approximately $165,000 remaining. Eligible small businesses may receive up to $10,000 in the form of a reimbursement grant, which can be used for business-related expenses, including mortgage, rent, utility, insurance premium costs, reopening costs, costs for safety measures and payroll during a business closure. The Florida Online Global-Website Localization Grant aims to help exporters expand their overseas presence through website localization services. The program, in partnership with IBT Online and SelectFlorida, offers various options for website globalization, including predefined and customized websites, website redesign, and e-commerce development, all optimized for target markets. Grants cover partial costs of localization services, with SelectFlorida covering up to $8,000 and the grantee responsible for $4,000 or the balance for customized services. Eligible entities must meet specific qualifications including being Florida-based, meeting minimum sales and employment criteria, and operating in approved sectors.

The Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside program (TA), funded by the United States Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) through the Surface Development Block Grant, is administered by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). This program is dedicated to funding smaller-scale transportation projects that enhance nonmotorized travel options and safety. The Women's Fund Grant Program, aligned with the mission to empower girls and women to achieve economic, social, and political equality, invites applications for programming support grants. Florida Humanities invites public libraries and library systems to apply for funding to host English for Families, a multi-week series of interactive classes for adults and children (ages 6-12) that focuses on developing English vocabulary and literacy skills through strategic and fun story reading. Developed in partnership with the Orange County Library System (OCLS), English for Families is designed to specifically improve the language proficiency of individuals whose native language is not English (ESOL) by providing essential reading strategies needed for school-age children to achieve success in the classroom while also developing adults’ basic language skills.  English for Families is supported in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts.  Funding Information Requests may not exceed $8,000. Up to four libraries will be selected to host programming between July 2024 and May 2025. Eligibility Criteria Florida public libraries and library systems are eligible to apply. A friends group, library association, foundation, city or county government, or municipality may apply on behalf of a library or library system. Individuals, for-profit organizations, and foreign governments/organizations are not eligible for funding. Fiscal sponsors are ineligible to apply. Up to 4 libraries will be funded for 2024-2025. Program Requirements Libraries should have all of the following requirements to host the program:  A community meeting space with a projector and screen or access to a digital meeting platform to host programming  A qualified instructor and a library staff member or volunteer to facilitate programming. The instructor should be a certified English language instructor or have at least two years of professional teaching experience in literacy or similar field. The instructor can be a staff member or volunteer at the library if they have the proper qualifications. This program provides financial assistance to business owners and developers in the South Cape area of Cape Coral, Florida, to help cover site development costs for new construction or renovations, with a focus on job creation and economic growth.

The Little Haiti Revitalization Trust is launching the Small Business Grant Program to support economic growth and revitalization in Little Haiti, Miami. The Trust will oversee and facilitate the city's revitalization efforts in line with the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. The program aims to stimulate employment, business growth, and investment within the Little Haiti boundaries. Eligible businesses can receive up to $20,000 for commercial improvements or $10,000 for innovation improvements, with a match option available. Peacock Foundation, Inc. provides grant support to nonprofit organizations in Florida for specific projects and general operations in areas including children/youth, elderly, programs for people with disabilities, arts for educational purposes, environmental education, health/hospitals, medical research, and human services. However, the foundation does not fund capital campaigns, construction or renovation projects, deficit financing or debt reduction, conferences or festivals, fundraising events or advertising, special events or athletic events, individuals, lobbying to influence legislation, or religious organizations unless engaged in a significant project benefiting the entire community.

Hurricane Recovery Grants are available for homeowners, renters, and business owners in Daytona Beach, Florida. Eligible residents with moderate or low income can receive up to $9,000 for reimbursement of costs such as mortgage payments, rent assistance, insurance deductibles, mold remediation (for owner-occupied homes), and relocation assistance. Applicants must be Daytona Beach residents, qualify as a "qualifying household," and submit a formal insurance or FEMA claim related to Hurricane Ian or Hurricane Nicole. The total amount of assistance shall not exceed $9,000 per household. Additionally, small businesses with 50 or fewer employees can receive up to $3,000 for reimbursement of business-related losses.

City of North Miami Beach Business Assistance Grant Program in Florida offers a one-time grant award of up to $5,000 to eligible for-profit business owners within the city. The Town of Jupiter is offering a Matching Grant Program for homeowner associations and neighborhood groups in 2022. Eligible applicants must be located in the Town of Jupiter and propose projects that enhance the external appearance or safety/security of their community. The project should benefit both the community and the entire town, not involve routine maintenance, and be visible from a public road if applicable. Community participation and demonstrated need are essential, and only groups that have not received grants from the Town of Jupiter Neighborhood Services in the last three years are eligible to apply. Applicants must provide a 50/50 match in services, cash, volunteer effort, or supplies, and demonstrate support for the proposed project from neighborhood residents.
