Leveraging the popularity and penetration of video games in Eastern Europe, the implementer will develop an eSports program at American Spaces in Ukraine. eSports athletes will need professional training to form a talent pipeline to professional teams in Ukraine. In tandem with traditional eSports training, these athletes will receive counter disinformation/conflict resolution training to confront foreign propaganda and disinformation in competitive online gaming spaces. The project will culminate with an eSports tournament and coalition-building event on the sidelines of the tournament.

The Office of Nuclear Energys (NE) mission is to advance nuclear energy science and technology to meet U.S. energy, environmental, and economic needs. NE has identified the following goals to address challenges in the nuclear energy sector, help realize the potential of advanced technology, and leverage the unique role of the government in spurring innovation: Keep existing U.S. nuclear reactors operating. Deploy new nuclear reactors. Secure and sustain our nuclear fuel cycle. Expand international nuclear energy cooperation. Collectively, all NE-sponsored activities support the Departments priorities to combat the climate crisis, create clean energy jobs with the free and fair chance to join a union and bargain collectively, and promote equity and environmental justice by delivering innovative clean energy technologies for nuclear energy systems. The development of nuclear energy-related infrastructure and basic capabilities in the research community is necessary to promote Research and Development (R) that supports nuclear science and engineering (NS), NEs mission, and the nations nuclear energy challenges. Accordingly, the Department of Energy (DOE) intends to facilitate the education and training of nuclear scientists, engineers, and policymakers through graduate and undergraduate study, two-year programs, and R that is relevant to the Department and the U.S. nuclear energy industry in general.

The Whipple Foundation Fund, established by Mildred Whipple in 2003, aims to improve and enhance lifelong learning for the residents of Douglas County. NIEHS invites applications for cooperative agreements to support the development of model programs for the training and education of workers engaged in activities related to hazardous materials and waste generation, removal, containment, transportation and emergency response within the Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear weapons complex. The aim of this funding opportunity is to prevent work-related harm through safety and health training. The training programs consist of information and practical exercises with the objective of raising the knowledge of workers in protecting themselves and the community from being exposed to hazardous materials encountered during hazardous waste operations; facility decommissioning and decontamination; hazardous materials transportation; environmental restoration of contaminated facilities; or chemical emergency response. Currently, tens of thousands of DOE employees are required to complete safety and health training. The goal of this training is to help reduce the risk of workers being exposed during work activities to hazardous materials and hazardous waste products. The NIEHS/DOE Nuclear Worker Training Program enhances training capabilities at these sites.

The Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the United States Department of State calls for an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to improve and strengthen the institutional capacities of the Colombian National Police (CNP) - Directorate of Health (DISAN) and the Directorate of Veterans and Inclusive Rehabilitation (DIVRI) to provide CNP officers and Colombian military personnel permanently injured in the course of eradication, drug interdiction, rural security, anti-terrorism and anti-drug trafficking operations; access to optimal physical and psychological rehabilitation services (functional and holistic). Additionally, the project design should implement strategies and actions aimed at making wounded and disabled Colombian military and police forces personnel, who have leadership experience in their territories, the main facilitators for providing mobility devices to disabled officers in rural areas. Applicants should expect to work collaboratively with the CNP-DICAR (Rural Police Directorate) to develop brigades, public campaigns and/or community activities that serve to connect wounded Colombian Military Personnel and CNP Officers to appropriate rehabilitative resources.
