Neighborhood Communication Grants are eligible for up to $750. Community Enhancement Grants are eligible for up to $1,000. Eligible Activities & Programs Community Event Grant: The purpose of this grant is to support efforts by neighborhoods to organize “neighborhood” social events or gatherings. The intent is to build relationships among neighbors and support fun social events, such as neighborhood block parties, festivals, cultural events, holiday events, outdoor health/recreation (walking, biking, running) events, emergency preparedness fairs, and community events designed to bring people together. Neighborhood Communication Grant: Funds can be used to enhance communication, including neighborhood websites, mailings, newsletters, neighborhood brochures, calendars, information kiosks, etc. Neighborhood Improvement Grant: Funding for these grants are intended to encourage neighbors to come together to plan and complete a project to help improve the quality of life in their neighborhood. Activities may include beautification projects, clean-up activities, a neighborhood gardening project, landscape beautification, playground and minor park improvements, tree planting, public art to enhance the community, adding or modifying entrance signs, community benches, bike racks, dog waste stations, or other such related improvements. WCSP provides scholarships to students in associate or bachelor’s degree programs that qualify them for WellnessCoach Certification through the education pathway in exchange for a 12-month service obligation providing CWC services in California. Eligible applicants may receive up to $35,000. The purpose of this program is to increase the number of CWCs providing direct services in California. The Wellness Coach profession is a new, certified position to increase our state’s overall capacity to support the growing behavioral health needs of our youth. It is designed to help build a larger and more diverse and representative behavioral health workforce in California that hasthe training and supervision needed to engage directly with young people where they live, study and work. Wellness Coaches will offer non-clinical services that support children and youth behavioral health and well-being. Services include wellness promotion and education, screening, care coordination, individual and group support, and crisis referral. The model will supplement and support existing behavioral health roles, fill gaps in the current behavioral health workforce, and create a larger and more diverse workforce with whom youth can connect.

The Eisner Prize Fellowship is a new program designed to support leaders pioneering innovations in intergenerational connection. Since 2011, the Eisner Foundation has awarded the Eisner Prize to honor people and organizations doing exceptional intergenerational work across the country. In this next phase in the evolution of the Eisner Prize, The Eisner Foundation is providing financial resources, networking opportunities, and the prestige of the Eisner Prize to leaders with new ideas and perspectives that will propel the field forward. The Eisner Prize Fellows application is open to anyone working to innovate in the area of intergenerational connection – whether that be through research, programs, technology, or other efforts advancing the field. Young people, people of color, and those working with historically marginalized communities are particularly encouraged to apply. The Redford Center Grants program is open for 2024 applications from April 4 to May 10, focusing on environmental nonfiction films or docuseries at any stage of development. Eligible projects can be in development, production, or post-production stages but must not be picture locked. The Fund for Community Reparations for Autistic People of Color's Interdependence, Survival, and Empowerment is offering a grant opportunity for autistic people of color. The fund aims to provide direct support, mutual aid, and reparations to this community. The fund is based in the United States but has a global reach. The fund practices redistributive justice and mutual aid by returning and sharing money directly with autistic people of color. They offer microgrants for survival, organizing, leisure, and pleasure to Black, Brown, Native, Asian, and mixed-race individuals in the autistic community. The fund is committed to Disability Justice principles, including leadership by those most impacted, intersectionality, anti-capitalist politics, cross-movement solidarity, interdependence, collective access, and collective liberation. They are focused on ending extractive economies and building sustainable generative economies. The fund is specifically for autistic people of color and not for parents, caregivers, or family members. However, in some cases, applications from parents or caregivers on behalf of autistic people of color may be approved. The fund prioritizes applications that emphasize the autistic person's individual wants, needs, desires, preferences, choices, and interests. They may approve applications for therapy if it is desired by the autistic child, but they do not approve applications for ABA therapy. Applications for household help or necessities like rent and bills are also considered, especially if there are multiple autistic children in the family. The UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award is currently accepting nominations for its 2024 round. The award recognizes individuals and institutions that have made outstanding contributions to urban development, including improving the quality of urban life and providing adequate, affordable, and accessible housing. Nominations must come from third parties before the deadline of May 17, 2024. The winners, selected by the Executive Director of UN-Habitat following recommendations by a panel of experts, will receive the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award at the global celebration of World Habitat Day in Querétaro City, Mexico, on October 7, 2024. The award considers best practices and initiatives aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities.
