The Garden Conservancy is now accepting applications for our 2024 Garden Futures Grants. These grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations and small public gardens across the United States that are either: 1) Making a significant impact in their communities through garden-based programming, with a focus on diverse populations; or 2) Contributing to the study and preservation of garden history. Grant Considerations: Grants are for general operating support and typically range from $5,000-$10,000. Organizations with an annual operating budget of $1 million or less will be prioritized. Organizations must either be a 501(c)3 OR apply through a fiscal sponsor that is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code to be considered. Please note: Organizations that have received a grant from the Garden Conservancy within the past three years are ineligible for this grant cycle. The Child Care Capital Program (CCCP) will award grants to eligible child care providers to expand existing child care centers or build new ones. The program will be overseen by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY).The CCCP will provide reimbursement grants for the design, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, equipment and other capital assets for existing or proposed state-licensed, not-for-profit or for-profit child day care centers and registered school-age child care programs. The facility must be intended to be used as a child care program for at least eight years. Projects must be shovel-ready, demonstrate the ability to be licensed and fully operational within six months of completing construction and worth at least $500,000.

DPR's Research Grants Program supports projects that seek to advance integrated pest management (IPM) knowledge in agricultural, urban, or wildland settings. Projects should focus on reducing impacts to public health or the environment from pesticides of high regulatory interest. This year, DPR invites projects with budgets ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 to apply. Eligible grantees include nonprofit agencies, tribal governments, individuals, businesses, and public agencies. There is no limit on the number of applications that can be submitted, including multiple applications from the same person or entity. Expected outcomes include a strengthened regional Caribbean network of local CSOs engaged in women's economic security, equipped with enhanced capacity through a provided training curriculum. Measurable results will stem from the effective implementation of these pioneering solutions by CSOs, leading to a tangible improvement in the economic security and labor force participation of women and adolescent girls. The overall strategic priority is to advance gender equity and equality, with a theory of change rooted in empowering local CSOs to drive sustainable, community-specific interventions against systemic and socio-cultural barriers.

The Border-to-Border Broadband Development Grant Program and the Low-Density Population Pilot Program, established by the Minnesota legislature in 2014 and continued in 2023, are aimed at promoting broadband infrastructure expansion in Minnesota's unserved or underserved areas. Managed by the State of Minnesota, Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), these programs provide grants to assist broadband providers with the costs of infrastructure installation.
