This program provides funding to eligible local governments in South Carolina for various community development projects, including infrastructure improvements and job creation.

The 2023 Property Tax Relief Grant is a one-time grant proposed by Governor Brian Kemp to refund $950 million in property taxes to homestead owners in Georgia. The grant, also known as the Homestead Tax Relief Grant, was signed into law on March 13, 2023. The Department of Revenue has been allocated $950 million to reduce the assessed value of Georgia homesteads by $18,000. To receive the grant, property owners will see a $18,000 reduction in the assessed value of their property. Local tax officials will notify the Department of Revenue of the anticipated revenue, and the Department of Revenue will issue credits to the local taxing authorities. The grant does not apply to rental properties and is only available to homesteads claimed by Georgia taxpayers before the April 1 deadline. It is important to note that the Property Tax Relief Grant is different from a homestead exemption. Georgia offers various homestead exemptions, including exemptions for seniors over 65, disabled veterans, and surviving spouses of public safety officers. The grant program was created in the late 1990s and discontinued after the 2008 Recession, but it has been reinstated due to the State's excess reserves. The grant does not provide a paper check or direct deposit, but rather appears as a reduction on the property tax bill.

The Neighborhood Micro Grant Program (NMGP) aims to support events and projects that enhance neighborhood spirit, collaboration, and revitalization efforts. NMGP will provide up to $1,500 for goods and services to support approved events and projects focused on blight reduction, financial or employment training, crime awareness, fair housing, health services, and mental health services citywide. Eligible public service events/projects must have the support of the neighborhood organization’s governing body and the affected neighborhood. The grants will be disbursed directly to neighborhood associations with a tax ID number or fiscal agent. OAJJA: Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program Overview: The Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program provides funding to support county jails in onboarding and integrating with the Colorado Trusted Interoperability Platform (CTIP). This initiative aims to exchange behavioral health, housing, and demographic information with the Colorado Integrated Criminal Justice Information System (CICJIS) to ensure continuity of care for individuals transitioning between criminal justice agencies and the community. Program Description: Purpose of the Funds: The goal of the Behavioral Health Information and Data Sharing Grant Program, established by SB22-196, is to facilitate the exchange of behavioral health, housing, and demographic information with CICJIS. This exchange will be accomplished by establishing an information exchange platform within CICJIS to improve criminal justice, health, and safety outcomes. Statutory Authority: 24-33.5-532. Behavioral health information and data-sharing in the criminal justice system. Eligibility: Every Colorado county is eligible for a grant. Counties lacking an existing electronic jail management system infrastructure may face challenges in completing required activities. Eligible Activities: Integrating county jail data systems with CICJIS. Standardizing client-specific information through common data fields. Automating data reporting required by state and federal law. Required Application Components: All grant applications must address the following: Justifiable project costs. Plans to use technology meeting state standards. Addition of all data exchange requirements to the applicant's jail management system. Acknowledgment of the conditional nature of funding based on acceptance of the CICJIS participation agreement. Volusia County has U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing (RUSH) funds available for implementation of eligible rapid re-housing programs under the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) written standards. Funds can also be used to provide short-term (up to 3 months) or medium-term (4 to 24 months) rental assistance and case management. Assistance may only be provided to individuals or families who were homeless prior to Hurricane Ian, homeless as a result of Hurricane Ian, or whose needs are no longer met by the Temporary Shelter Assistance (TSA) program. Programs must serve the entire county and comply with the Commission on Homelessness and Housing (CoHH) for Volusia and Flagler Counties written standards. This funding is prohibited from serving Flager County. Funding Information The total amount of funding available is $1,175,990 contingent upon funding availability. Up to 5% of the funds are available for program administration. Applicants will have approximately 20 months from the date the agreements are fully executed to fully expend the funds.
