A. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION U.S. Embassy Maseru announces an open competition for organizations and individuals interested in submitting applications to implement a project that will deliver tailored human rights training modules for Lesotho Correctional Services (LCS) leadership and policymakers, covering topics such as international human rights standards, inmate rights, ethical conduct, and conflict resolution. This training should include interactive workshops and scenario-based learning exercises. Additionally, the project will support the establishment of a dedicated human rights unit within LCS to oversee compliance and investigate reported abuses.Program Objectives:1. Conduct comprehensive human rights training for Lesotho law enforcement agencies, and specifically LCS, building on previous UNDP training, to enhance their understanding and application of human rights principles in daily operations.2. Support the creation of a dedicated human rights unit within LCS. Establish criteria the new unit can use to monitor and report human rights violations, oversee compliance with human rights standards and investigate reported abuses effectively to ensure accountability and transparency.Anticipated Outcome(s):1. With this solicitation, BJA seeks to support comprehensive community-based approaches to addressing hate crimes that promote community awareness and preparedness, increase victim reporting, and improve responses to hate crimes. The program is also designed to develop community-informed models for preventing and responding to hate speech and incidents, as well as facilitating reconciliation and community healing.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to support state, local, and tribal law enforcement and prosecution agencies, and their community partners, to address hate crimes by establishing a coordinated hate crimes resource center. The purpose of the resource center is to coordinate resources and research across several BJA funded hate crimes prevention and response programs. This will create one single location for communities to access the latest promising practices, research, and implementation support from across many disciplines to address hate crimes.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks a training and technical assistance (TTA) provider with expertise in working with communities to improve access to integrated treatment for justice-involved populations with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (MHSUDs). The provider will work with BJA to lead a national TTA program and administer subawards to local demonstration sites. The program will promote cross-system collaboration among justice stakeholders, behavioral health service providers, and community support organizations to improve access to integrated treatment for individuals with co-occurring MHSUDs.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks a training and technical assistance (TTA) provider to help jurisdictions prevent and reduce overdose deaths as part of the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP). COSSUP provides funding and TTA to state, local, and tribal governments to develop, implement, or expand comprehensive programs in response to the overdose crisis and impacts of illicit opioids, stimulants, or other substances. This COSSUP Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) TTA Program provides training and supports collaborations that prevent and reduce overdose deaths. This program helps jurisdictions build and enhance multidisciplinary collaborations, collect and use multisector data, and conduct confidential individual death reviews in order to identify trends, incidents, and gaps in prevention efforts and services to inform innovative, community-specific overdose prevention and intervention strategies.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to reduce the number of deaths and injuries of individuals with forms of dementia (such as Alzheimers disease) or developmental disabilities (such as autism) who, due to their condition, wander from safe environments. This program provides funding to law enforcement and other public safety agencies to implement to implement location tracking technologies to help find missing individuals. It provides funding to such agencies and partnering nonprofit organizations to develop or operate programs to prevent wandering, increase vulnerable individuals safety, and facilitate rescues.

PD La Paz invites proposals for programs that strengthen people-to-people ties between the United States and Bolivia through cultural, educational, professional and scientific exchanges that highlight shared values and promote bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an U.S. cultural element, or connection with U.S. expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.The PD Small Grants Program projects may include, but is not limited to:- Lectures, seminars, and speaker programs;- Artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances, and exhibitions;- Cultural heritage conservation and preservation projects;- Professional, cultural or academic exchanges and projects (including virtual exchanges with U.S. experts or communities);- Professional development workshops and training.

Humanities Montana Research Fellowship supports projects with a central focus in the humanities, a clearly defined theme, and involvement of professional humanists. Projects must include a public program, publicity, and evaluation plans where appropriate. There is a 1:1 cost-share requirement and applications involving Native American communities or cultures must demonstrate their involvement or address why they are not involved. Humanities Montana cannot fund projects focusing on personal concerns, non-public meetings, construction or operating expenses of existing organizations, lobbying or direct social action, one-sided treatment of an issue, fundraising for profit-making groups, alcoholic beverages or entertainment costs, and candidates running for political office.
