The total funding available is $1,900,000, with one award expected. The project period is up to five years, with annual continuation awards based on funding availability, progress, timely submission of required data, and compliance with award terms. The "Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE): Fund for The Improvement of Postsecondary Education (IFPSE): Transitioning Gang-Involved Youth to Higher Education Program" grant aims to financially support organizations that assist gang-involved youth in pursuing higher education for obtaining certification or credentials.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION U.S. Embassy Belgrade of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications for the Democracy Commission Small Grants Program. Please follow all instructions below. Priority Region: Serbia Program Objectives: Proposals should align with the U.S. Embassys objectives to strengthen democracy and protect human rights and empower local organizations to advance these changes and reforms throughout Serbia. Grant activities may take any number of forms, including trainings, conferences, workshops, courses, academic competitions, summer camps (focused on language study, sports, etc.), cross-border exchanges, curriculum development, exhibits, hackathons, or app development, online projects, mock trials or moot court competitions, simulations, and role-playing activities (e.g., Model Congress, Model United Nations), film or theater festivals, performances, or other activities. The proposal should also demonstrate how the program will further engagement in underserved communities and with individuals from underserved communities. Proposals should demonstrate how addressing racial equity and underserved communities will enhance the programs goals and objectives, as well as the experience of participants. Participants and Audiences: Primary audiences for proposals should be youth, students, teachers and administrators, young professionals, and/or others related to your program theme. Depending on focus, projects may have secondary audiences or beneficiaries including media, civil society organizations or wider professional audiences, which you may note in the proposal. The NIH INvestigation of Co-occurring conditions across the Lifespan to Understand Down syndromE (INCLUDE) Project seeks to improve health and quality-of-life for individuals with Down syndrome. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages Exploratory/Developmental Phased Innovation (R61/R33) grant applications to support development of clinical trials to treat critical and co-occurring health conditions in individuals with Down syndrome. The proposed research aims should be milestone-driven. The total project period for an application submitted in response to this FOA may not exceed five years. This FOA provides support for up to two years (R61 phase) for preliminary/developmental/planning studies, followed by possible transition to clinical trial support (R33) of up to three years, although the total duration of the award may not exceed five years. This FOA requires measurable R61 milestones.

The purpose of the NIH Independent Scientist Award (K02) is to foster the development of outstanding scientists and enable them to expand their potential to make significant contributions to their field of research. The K02 award provides three to five years of salary support and "protected time" for newly independent scientists who can demonstrate the need for a period of intensive research focus as a means of enhancing their research careers. Each independent scientist career award program must be tailored to meet the individual needs of the candidate. This Parent Funding Opportunity Announcement is for basic science experimental studies involving humans, referred to in NOT-OD-18-212 as prospective basic science studies involving human participants. The U.S. Embassy Tokyo of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program for a media study tour for Japanese journalists on trilateral security cooperation. Following the historic August 2023 Trilateral Leaders’ Summit hosted by President Biden at Camp David, the United States, Japan, and Republic of Korea inaugurated “a new era of trilateral partnership,” and committed to strengthening trilateral security cooperation through enhanced trilateral defense exercises, improved information sharing, and increased cooperation on ballistic missile defense, including against DPRK missile threats. To better understand how the trilateral relationship is making strides, print journalists based across Japan will learn firsthand through a five-day media study tour on trilateral security cooperation with travel to Tokyo and Seoul (including the DMZ). They will engage with policymakers and experts from all three nations to gain a deeper understanding of how this enhanced cooperation is occurring and the significance that it plays to the region. The Japan-based journalists will also have an opportunity to meet and network with ROK journalist counterparts, forging important regional connections and facilitating networking connections among media professionals. The U.S. Embassy Tokyo invites proposals from eligible institutions to execute this program. Ground rules for meetings during the trip will be a combination of on-the-record, off-the-record, and background/Chatham House Rule. As much as possible, participating journalists will be encouraged to write articles for their readers around Japan. The purpose of the The Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative Fellows (F32) program is to enhance the research training of promising postdoctorates, early in their postdoctoral training period, who have the potential to become productive investigators in research areas that will advance the goals of the BRAIN Initiative. Applications are encouraged in any research area that is aligned with the BRAIN Initiative, including neuroethics. Applicants are expected to propose research training in an area that clearly complements their predoctoral research. Formal training in analytical tools appropriate for the proposed research is expected to be an integral component of the research training plan. In order to maximize the training potential of the F32 award, this program encourages applications from individuals who have not yet completed their terminal doctoral degree and who expect to do so within 12 months of the application due date. On the application due date, candidates may not have completed more than 12 months of postdoctoral training.
