This grant supports local LGBTQIA+ groups in selected counties of New Mexico. It aims to fund ongoing programs that offer social support across all ages within the queer community. The grant encourages initiatives in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, focusing on human rights, public health, sex education, and various cultural expressions. Projects that address significant needs within the queer community are prioritized.

These grants support 501(c)(3) organizations in preserving Texas history. Eligible projects include historic property preservation, events promoting state history, preservation of artifacts or archival materials, Texas history education, museum programming, publications on Texas history, archeology, and cultural heritage. Grants are awarded quarterly for up to $5,000 (micro-grants) and annually for up to $25,000. Florida Humanities invites public libraries and library systems to apply for funding to host English for Families, a multi-week series of interactive classes for adults and children (ages 6-12) that focuses on developing English vocabulary and literacy skills through strategic and fun story reading. The program can be delivered either in-person or via a virtual platform. Selected libraries will be required to host at least two series of 10 sessions each (meeting either once a week for ten weeks or twice a week for five weeks). Developed in partnership with the Orange County Library System (OCLS), English for Families is designed to specifically improve the language proficiency of individuals whose native language is not English (ESOL) by providing essential reading strategies needed for school-age children to achieve success in the classroom while also developing adults’ basic language skills.  English for Families is supported in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts.  Funding Information Requests may not exceed $8,000. Up to four libraries will be selected to host programming between July 2024 and May 2025. Eligibility Criteria Florida public libraries and library systems are eligible to apply. A friends group, library association, foundation, city or county government, or municipality may apply on behalf of a library or library system. Individuals, for-profit organizations, and foreign governments/organizations are not eligible for funding. Fiscal sponsors are ineligible to apply. Up to 4 libraries will be funded for 2024-2025. Program Requirements Libraries should have all of the following requirements to host the program:  A community meeting space with a projector and screen or access to a digital meeting platform to host programming  A qualified instructor and a library staff member or volunteer to facilitate programming. The instructor should be a certified English language instructor or have at least two years of professional teaching experience in literacy or similar field. The instructor can be a staff member or volunteer at the library if they have the proper qualifications. Harold Burton Foundation honors the legacy of Robert Harold and Maybelle Covey Burton by supporting education, science, literacy, and health and human services projects in the greater Salt Lake metropolitan area. Reflecting the Burtons' interests, the foundation awards grants to tax-exempt organizations primarily located in this region, aiming to enhance the community's capacity for positive impact. Grant applications are reviewed twice yearly, with submission deadlines on February 15 for spring and August 15 for fall. Eligible organizations must demonstrate a charitable or educational purpose and hold a 501(c)(3) status.

Established in 2012, the Cresap Family Foundation aims to improve the quality of life in Oklahoma and beyond, focusing on youth and families, health and wellness, education, arts and humanities, and animal welfare. With over $13 million in donations, funding preference will be given to organizations in those counties where Premium Beers operated, including, and without limitation, Oklahoma Canadian, Grady, Cleveland, Logan, Pottawatomie, Lincoln and the following counties on Northeast Oklahoma: Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Osage, Ottawa and Washington. This is a strong preference but is not mandatory. The Gateway Foundation is offering grant opportunities for non-profit arts organizations based in and operating throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. They also support lighting and parks projects that contribute to the cultural fabric of the area, as well as sculpture loans that make pieces accessible to residents within and between St. Louis Metropolitan neighborhoods. The foundation does not fund endowment funds, capital campaigns, promotional projects, general operations, travel or conferences, fundraising events or advertising, purchase of office equipment, or social service programming. To be eligible for funding, organizations must have tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, be headquartered and provide services within the Greater St. Louis Community, and maintain a focus on arts and culture. Grant Opportunity: LEH Rebirth Grants Funding Organization: Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (LEH) Contact Information: Contact LEH grants staff for assistance Award Details: Grant awards range from $1,000 to $5,000. LEH may award partial amounts. Matching cost share in cash or in kind is required. Eligibility: Humanities-based organizations operating within the 64 parishes of Louisiana are eligible to apply. Eligible organizations include nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status, public-facing organizations within accredited institutions of higher learning, state and local government agencies, and state or federally recognized Native American tribal governments in Louisiana. Organizations reaching underserved populations are encouraged to apply. Program and Intent: LEH Rebirth Grants support programmatic initiatives focused on the humanities. Eligible projects include public humanities programs, documentary photography, podcast and radio projects, humanities-based festivals and exhibition development, digital humanities projects, speaker series, assistance with publication projects, and humanities-based educational initiatives. Projects must involve the participation of credentialed humanities scholars. Application Timeline: Applications open on April 1 each year, with decisions announced in July. Rebirth project activities should be implemented between September 1 and October 31 of the following year. The application period for 2024 Rebirth Grants is April 1 to May 1, 2024. Funding Guidelines: Humanities scholars must play a central role in all phases of the project. Projects must focus on topics and themes drawn from the humanities or bring the analytical potential of the humanities to bear on current concerns. Programs must provide a balance of viewpoints, target public audiences, involve community representatives, and avoid advocacy and bias. LEH does not fund certain types of projects, such as creative and performing arts, research exclusively for scholarly audiences, scholarships, and political action. Nonprofit status is required, and cost share is expected. Evaluation and final reports are required for funded projects.
