The primary purpose of VOCA funding is to support the delivery of services to victims of crime. The federal VOCA Rule defines direct services to victims of crime as “efforts that: respond to the emotional, psychological, or physical needs of crime victims; assist victims to stabilize their lives after victimization; assist victims to understand and participate in the criminal justice system; OR restore a measure of security and safety for the victim VWGP funds can be used to provide victims of crime with direct services related to the following service categories as defined by VOCA: Information and referrals Examples include providing information about the criminal justice process and victims’ rights; referrals to other victim service programs; and referrals to other services, supports, and resources Personal advocacy and accompaniment services Examples include accompaniment to emergency medical care and forensic examinations; accompaniment to criminal justice system-related events; individual advocacy; and intervention with employers, landlords, schools, and others on behalf of the victim. Emotional support and safety services Examples include crisis intervention; safety planning; hotline services; individual counseling; support groups; and other therapeutic services. Shelter and safe housing options Examples include providing emergency shelter; providing transitional housing; arranging safe housing; and other relocation assistance. Criminal and civil justice system assistance Examples include notification of criminal justice events; and accompaniment to court hearings, to meetings with law enforcement and prosecution, and to other criminal justice system-related events. Project Period The grant period for subawards made under these guidelines is for state fiscal year (SFY) 2025: July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. For purposes of this solicitation, applicants must submit one budget that will be used for the 12-month grant period. Eligible Projects Eligible projects must: Provide services directly to victims of crime. Utilize the Victims Services Data Collection System (VSDCS) to document direct services provided by grant funded staff and volunteers. Promote within the community collaboration efforts to serve and aid crime victims and leverage resources. Assist victims of crime in seeking crime victim compensation benefits. Recipients of the VWGP must assist victims in seeking Virginia Victims Fund (VVF) benefits, including maintaining a supply of VVF brochures and applications, establishing procedures to identify clients who may be eligible for compensation, ensuring that all VOCA-funded staff are familiar with VVF, assisting clients with the application process, and checking on claim statuses Utilize volunteers in grant funded project activities and maintain documentation onsite of volunteer efforts. Provide program information to agencies that assist with victims of crime in the service delivery area. Maintain statutorily required civil rights statistics on victims served by race or national origin, sex, age, and disability, within the grant period and permit access to any documents, papers, and records to determine that the subgrantee is complying with applicable civil rights laws. Provide services to crime victims at no charge. Maintain confidentiality of victim information Provide services to victims of federal crimes on the same basis as victims of state/local crimes. Eligibility Criteria Current eligibility is limited to the continuation of funding to local units of government and certain state agencies. Local units of government may subcontract with a private, non-profit service provider, if all local, state, and federal procurement and/or subrecipient policies are followed. Localities may submit joint applications to support regional victim witness programs serving multiple localities. Support for presenting touring performing artists and groups for events and festivals in communities across the state, including in rural counties. This grant category supports Tennessee presenters by providing grant funds up to $5,000 to offset the costs of professional artist fees for performing artists and groups that present to the public and offer an educational component with their engagement. Any eligible organization may apply for up to $3,000 of the agreed upon artist’s fees. If an organization or touring artist being presented meets one of the following criteria, the organization may request up to $5,000 of the agreed upon artist’s fees.

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) announce the availability of funds under the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program IV (SHCFTP IV), as established pursuant to Section 2825-g (7) of the Public Health Law (PHL), accompanying capital appropriations, and Section 1680-r of the Public Authorities Law (PAL), to provide grants in support of capital projects directly related to residential and community-based alternatives to the traditional model of nursing home care. Subdivision 7 of Section 2825-g of the PHL and Chapter 54 of the Laws of 2022 authorized up to $50,000,000 for awards to residential and community- based alternatives to the traditional model of nursing home care. Applications may be considered under one or both of the following project priorities. Project Type - Transition from Provisional License to Annual License: To transition to an annual license, provisional licensees must meet all regulatory requirements in Title 3 of the California Code of Regulations, sections 8102, 8105, and 8106. Eligible activities under this project type include, but are not limited to: cleanup, remediation, and restoration, professional services, consulting, and infrastructure related to cleanup, remediation, and restoration. Eligible costs include but are not limited to: compliance costs (except the ineligible costs described above); meeting the avoidance, minimization, or mitigation requirements approved in the project’s CEQA document; or county permitting requirements. If the applicant is representing a provisional license cultivator, actions outlined must lead to the issuance of an annual license or lead to on-the-ground implementation that will result in the issuance of an annual license from the licensing authority. Project Type - Sustainable Cannabis Cultivation Practices: Sustainable cannabis cultivation practices should alleviate direct and indirect environmental impacts of cannabis cultivation and enhance environmental stewardship. Activities that may be eligible include but are not limited to: sustainable water consumption, sustainable waste management, integrated pest and disease management, erosion control, and/or riparian protection. Qualified Cultivator - The following qualified cultivator may be represented by an eligible applicant. The qualified cultivator being represented by the eligible applicant must at a minimum have a valid and active provisional license or annual license issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA; now the Department of Cannabis Control). Bus. & Prof. Code, § 26050.2 et seq.). Priority will be given to qualified cultivators with ownership and/or financial interest in no more than 10,000 square feet of total canopy. However, cultivators with ownership and/or financial interest accumulating between 10,000-20,000 square feet of total canopy may still qualify. All proposed projects must benefit qualified cultivators as defined below. Qualified cultivation license types are: Specialty cottage:-“Specialty Cottage Outdoor” is an outdoor cultivation site with up to 25 mature plants.-“Specialty Cottage Mixed-Light Tier 1” only, is a mixed-light cultivation site with 2,500 square feet or less of total canopy Specialty:-“Specialty Outdoor” is an outdoor cultivation site with less than or equal to 5,000 square feet of total canopy, or up to 50 mature plants.-“Specialty Mixed-Light Tier 1” only, is a mixed-light cultivation site between 2,501 and 5,000 square feet of total canopy. Small:- “Small Outdoor” is an outdoor cultivation site between 5,001 and 10,000 square feet of total canopy.- “Small Mixed-Light Tier 1” only, is a mixed-light cultivation site between 5,001 and 10,000 square feet of total canopy. “Mixed-light Tier 1” is without the use of artificial light or the use of artificial light at a rate above zero, but no more than six watts per square foot.

The Energy Transition Navigators Program will provide outreach and recruitment for the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) workforce and contractor programs. The Department seeks to contract with the community-based provider(s) (“Navigator Teams”) to connect people to the CEJA workforce and contractor programs. Navigator Teams will provide outreach and recruitment services to eligible populations to ensure they are aware of and engaged in the statewide and local workforce and contractor development programs.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) does not require certain organizations such as churches, mosques, and synagogues to apply for and receive recognition of exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRC. Grant Opportunity: Short-term Teaching Artist Residency Program (Illinois) The Short-term Teaching Artist Residency Program in Illinois supports elementary schools, community centers, and public libraries in engaging teaching artists for short-term residencies. The program prioritizes advancing equity and access in the arts, particularly for underserved audiences such as BIPOC communities, individuals with disabilities, older adults, and those with limited access to the arts. The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is making up to $3M in Title I Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Statewide Activities funding available under the Apprenticeship Expansion Grant (AEG-4) Request for Applications (RFA). The purpose of this RFA is to expand New York State (NYS) Registered Apprenticeship (RA) training by increasing employment opportunities for approximately 130 apprentices, with a focus on underrepresented populations. These apprentices will enter trades in high-demand occupations, with a focus on the emerging fields of Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Information Technology, as well as other in-demand occupations. Please note that this solicitation focuses on promoting the expansion of NYS RAs and as such, RAs in the field of Construction are not eligible for funding under this RFA unless the trade is to be used for the upkeep and maintenance of a facility owned by the business entity employing the apprentice, such as plant maintenance trades.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is offering approximately $4.5 million in grants to support organics management projects aimed at reducing the amount of organic material sent to landfills or incinerators.
