The goal of the program is to positively impact residents in environmental justice communities by funding place-based and equity-focused projects. Funding requests must be between $50,000 and $500,000, with total project costs at least double the requested grant amount, as the program requires a 50% match from sponsors.

The Statewide Health Strategies Grant (SHSG) is designed to enhance the health and well-being of North Dakotans by activating the ND State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP).
