The ORPT Program offers matching grant assistance, with municipalities and counties eligible for up to 50% of project costs. To further support areas with greater need, park districts, municipalities that have not previously received ORPT funds, and projects in Census Tracts identified with a high CDC Social Vulnerability Index (SVI score range 0.75 – 1.00) can receive up to 75% assistance. This tiered funding structure reflects a strategic priority to channel resources where they can have the greatest impact, aligning with a theory of change that targeted investment can address social inequities and foster healthier communities.

The Nebraska SBIR/STTR Initiative provides financial assistance to small businesses in Nebraska participating in the federal SBIR/STTR programs. This state initiative offers Phase 0 assistance to help businesses apply for federal Phase 1 funding and matching funds for successful Phase 1 and Phase 2 federal awards. The FY23-24 Drone Replacement Program is funded by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to assist agencies in replacing non-compliant drones with those from approved manufacturers. The program was established following the 2022 amendment of Section 934.50, Florida Statutes, mandating agencies using non-compliant drones to replace them by specific deadlines. Eligible agencies will receive funds based on the initial purchase price and total flight hours of the non-compliant drones, following a detailed depreciation schedule. Recipients are required to relinquish the non-compliant drones in working condition to FDLE, which will then be analyzed by the Florida Center for Cybersecurity at the University of South Florida. Spay/Neuter Grant for Tennessee Organizations Eligibility: Government shelters or 501(c)(3) organizations in Tennessee. Provides spay and neuter services for dogs and cats. Grant Coverage: Covers spay and neuter procedures only. Does not cover expenses like fences or food. Procedure Requirements: Procedures must be performed by a Tennessee clinic with a licensed Tennessee veterinarian. Funding Source: Funding is from sales of the Spay/Neuter license plate. Set up an account as an Edison Supplier: Edison Supplier Portal Fill out the application when available in the spring and submit supporting documentation. Awards are determined based on various factors such as procedure price, number of animals served, counties served, etc. Once awarded, sign and return the contract. It goes through Department of Agriculture approval. Contracts are entered into Edison, and invoices are created and emailed to the organization. During the fiscal year, organizations perform procedures, fill out invoices with procedure information, and send them to the Animal Friendly email for reimbursement. It is designed to enhance applied research collaborations, and single PI proposals may request up to $100,000; multi-PI proposals may request up to $150,000 for one year. Program Details: Funding Source: $900,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Purpose: Enhance and expand summer meal programs in underserved areas. Target Audience: Iowa children ages 18 and under. Programs Supported: Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Seamless Summer Option (SSO).
