This funding opportunity supports public agencies in California to create regional conservation plans that protect and restore habitats for vulnerable species through collaborative efforts and the use of scientific data.

CAL FIRE's Wood Products and Bioenergy team seeks to maintain and enhance the wood products infrastructure of California to promote healthy resilient forests throughout the state by supporting a diverse set of business development and workforce development projects.  ; Eligible business development projects include facilities, operations, and professional services that support the restoration of healthy, resilient forests.   Eligible workforce development projects include universities, colleges, government and community organizations, and businesses that aim to increase workforce capacity in the fields of logging, fuels treatment, transportation, manufacturing, or other support services that bolster the development of a resilient forest sector workforce.   Research and development projects related to both business and workforce development will also be considered. The CIG Program is a competitive pass-through subgrant program made possible by a grant to Georgia DNR from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) through Congressional funding pursuant to the Coastal Zone Management Act. These subgrants may be awarded to qualified county and municipal governments, regional commissions, state-affiliated research or educational institutions, or state agencies (except GDNR), provided the project takes place entirely within the eleven-county service area of the program. The CIG Program service area includes Brantley, Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Charlton, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh and Wayne counties.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Program is a federal program authorized by Congress for the purpose of acquiring federal lands and assisting states and local governments with funds to acquire lands and develop and renovate outdoor recreation facilities. LWCF funds are appropriated by Congress to the U. S. Department of the Interior, National Parks Service (NPS), and NPS allocates the funds through state agencies as a grant program to state and local governments.

The grant application is for activities such as historic resources survey, National Register nominations, preservation planning, design guidelines, information/education projects, historic structures reports, conditions assessment reports, structural assessment reports, preservation plans, architectural drawings, and specifications. Cemetery projects such as cemetery resource/monument surveys, groundpenetrating radar surveys, preservation plans, master plans, or conditions assessment reports are also eligible. This grant application also supports physical “bricks and mortar” rehabilitation activities for historic sitespecific buildings, structures, monuments, and places, including cemeteries and parks. Development project applications must provide the following three items to be considered eligible for HPF grant funding: a legal description of the property, listing in the National Register of Historic Places, and previous documentation of predevelopment/planning activities associated with the resource. At the completion of a development project, a preservation agreement or covenant is required for the property

The School-Based Health Center Planning Grant Round 2 is intended to support a one-year planning process to explore the establishment of a school-based health center within CSI, TSI, and Promise Schools, and all rural districts. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Periodically, funding is available for the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to award to districts and schools in the form of grants. This solidifies our commitment to service and support where students have the resources and tools to succeed and be prepared for life. The following activities/projects will be eligible for LMIG funds:  Preliminary engineering (including engineering work for R/W plans and Utility plans)  Construction supervision & inspection  Utility Adjustments or replacement  Patching, leveling and resurfacing a paved roadway  Grading, Drainage, Base and Paving existing or new roads  Replacing storm drain pipe or culverts  Intersection improvements  Turn lanes  Bridge repair or replacement  Sidewalk adjacent (within right of way) to a public roadway or street  Roadway Signs, striping, guardrail installation  Signal installation or improvement  Aggregate Surface Course for dirt road maintenance
