This is accomplished by responsibly promoting the arts for the benefit of the greater Eagle community and by introducing new opportunities that meet the cultural needs of a larger, more diverse community. The goal is to establish the City of Eagle as a destination city in Southwest Idaho.  Through this grant process, the goal of the EAAC is to grow the artistic opportunities for the City of Eagle, inspire people to take pride in this community, and provide reasons for the surrounding communities to bring people together to enjoy a variety of artistic offerings within Eagle. EAAC grant funds support artistic and cultural events & organizations, individual artists, community programs and educational opportunities benefiting the Eagle community. Grant support for all areas of the arts – visual, performing, musical, literary, and others – are considered by the EAAC. Funding Information  Grant awards usually range from $1000 to $5000. Eligibility Criteria  Preference will be given to non-profit 501(c)(3) applicants. EAAC does not approve funding requests for more than 50% of the project budget. No more than 20% of requested funding may be used on salaries. 80% of grant funds will be issued up front with the remaining 20% provided within 30 days of project completion and receipt / review of Final Report. They envision the program helping to bring people together and build positive relationships that help create A City for Everyone. Funding Information This is a one-time pilot program with an open and competitive process, and prior funding through the Department of Arts & History does not guarantee funding. The Catalyst Grant Pilot Program offers a standard award size of $2,000. They expect to award a total of $40,000 in FY2024. Five (5) applications will be funded in each round. If five (5) applications are not fully funded due to low participation and/or because they do not meet eligibility or criteria, then the unexpended funds will roll over to the next round. Examples of Activities The Boise City Department of Arts & History strives to fund a wide range of projects and initiatives with an arts, history, or cultural focus, such as (but not limited to) the following: Projects, such as: Public Programs (such as presentations/lectures, workshops, walking tours, trainings, etc.) Events Performances Exhibits Educational opportunities Oral history projects Collaborations or innovative production that cultivates the cultural community Research, planning, and/or analysis that is available for Boise residents to help strengthen Boise’s cultural base Virtual and online projects of the above or other project, with a clear intent to reach Boise residents. Eligibility Criteria  To be considered for funding through the A&H grant program, proposals must: Be completed by an individual, as a representative of an organization, or as a representative of a nonprofit Friends group associated with a government agency. Directly benefit residents living within Boise City Limits. If the project involves an event, the venue must be located within Boise City Limits. Meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards regarding physical accessibility to project venues.
