This application is for organizations seeking $75,000 or more in general operations support. - General Operations Short Application: This application is for organizations seeking general operations support of less than $75,000. - Restricted Application: Restricted grants provide funding for a specific program or project. These funds may not be used for other purposes, although a portion may be utilized for overhead or indirect costs of administering the program or project. - Capital Application: Capital grants support constructing, repairing, renovating, or rehabilitating an organization’s physical space. Capital grants can also support the purchase of equipment necessary for an organization to carry out its work.

Considerations In considering a formal grant request, Board Members will review the following: The possibility of a grant leveraging additional support. The level of local involvement and support. The number of people to be served and the impact of the program on the community. The degree to which the program duplicates or complements the work of other community organizations. The impact of the North Dakota Community Foundation’s grant on the success of the project. Funding Information Grants are generally $5,000 or less. Eligiblity Criteria Eligible organizations in the state include those designated by the IRS as 501(c)(3) non-profit tax exempt groups, government agencies, such as a park district or school district, or an organization that has one of the above acting as its fiscal sponsor.
