In addition to the development and improvement of public parks and greenspaces, community partners often request trees to support a broad range of conservation efforts, including preservation of natural habitats and reforestation. Application Guidelines Applicant organizations must be a charitable nonprofit organization, or municipal, state or federal government agency or institution with 501(c)(3) federal tax exemption status to qualify. Individuals, private landowners, for-profit organizations, or political/trade/civic membership-based organizations (including 501(c)(4) or 501(c)(6) federal exemption status) are not eligible. Applicant organizations in states where Apache Corporation has operations in the United States are eligible to apply. Areas of operations include Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana or Wyoming. Requests can be made for sizes varying from bare root seedlings up to five gallon containers. Grant recipients must request a minimum of 50 one gallon, three gallon or five gallon trees per project or a minimum of 1,000 bareroot seedlings. Grantees must work directly with Apache’s partner arborist. Grantees will not be granted funds directly. The Apache Corporation Tree Grant Program is designed to provide native/indigenous species to the applicant’s local geographical area. Apache Corporation reserves the right, based on economic and environmental conditions, to make substitutions as necessary and/or required. Apache Corporation will assume the cost of the trees and freight delivery to the recipient’s designated location. Applicants must agree to receive any and all trees granted to their organization in a single delivery. All trees granted must be distributed by May 15, 2025. It is the responsibility of the grant recipient to plant and care for the trees. Funding Information Grants will be awarded in increments of $2,500 for each 8 week creative aging program ($2,500 for one program, $5,000 for two programs, $7,500 for three programs, $10,000 for four programs). Eligibility Criteria Must either be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization or a government agency to be eligible to receive Wyoming Arts Council funding. 501(c)3 non-profit organizations The Internal Revenue Service determines who meets the criteria of being a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Government Agency This includes tribal government, municipal, county, state and federal government, higher education, and school districts. Individual applicants must Be 18 years of age or older, and not be a student enrolled in a secondary school or in an undergraduate or graduate art-related degree program. Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal resident status.Β  Must have been domiciled within the state borders for a total of 20 months in the previous two years.Β  Must remain a Wyoming resident for at least one year after award, living in the state for at least 10 months of the year.Β  Acknowledge that the Wyoming Arts Council is not liable for lost or damaged material submitted with their grant application.
