The Governor and the General Assembly direct the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to administer grants for specific miscellaneous purposes to bolster the state’s economy, promote a clean environment, and improve the overall quality of life throughout the state of Illinois. This grant program is available to any entity receiving funding via lump sum appropriation. Eligible costs for this program are bondable costs associated with the acquisition of land and/or buildings. This includes acquisition costs of all improved or unimproved real property including appraisal fees; title opinions; surveying fees; real estate fees; title transfer taxes; condemnation; and related legal expenses. This may include construction on, and/or renovation to, the property after purchase.

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is soliciting grant applications for the DC Leading Educators toward Advanced Degrees (DC LEAD) Program. Funding Information The total funding available for this award period is approximately $4.5 million per grant period. OSSE reserves the right to issue more than one award for this funding opportunity. Project Period The total award period of this grant is five years beginning on Oct. 1, 2024 or the date of the award if awards are made after October 1 and ending on Sept. 30, 2029, with funding for each fiscal year contingent upon availability of funds and compliance with grant terms and conditions. Each budget period will be one year, with the first period beginning Oct. 1, 2024 or the date of the award if awards are made after October 1 and ending Sept. 30, 2025. Eligibility Criteria OSSE will make this grant available through a competitive process. Eligible applicants include non-profit, for-profit, faith-based community based organizations and postsecondary education institutions. Eligible applicants must be able to demonstrate expertise in ECE, knowledge of existing scholarship programs in DC and previous experience providing financial management and monitoring of scholarships or other awards provided to the local community. The Regional Site Readiness Program’s Planning Grant, funded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, offers $100,000 to $500,000 to local governments, economic development organizations, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, and private landowners for planning and due diligence activities aimed at preparing industrial and manufacturing sites for future development across all counties in Illinois.

The Arts & Cultural Organizations General Operating Support grant program provides direct funding to arts and cultural organizations in support of ongoing operations. The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs announces a Notice of Funding Availability of approximately $2,760,401 in HOME funds specifically set aside for single-family housing programs benefiting Persons with Disabilities (PWD). This funding is part of a Reservation System and is available to entities with a current Reservation System Participation (RSP) Agreement. Eligible activities include Homeowner Reconstruction Assistance and Tenant-Based Rental Assistance, aimed at providing housing solutions for low-income households with disabilities.

The Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) announces $56 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to enhance Ohio's Developmental Disability Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). This one-time funding will support projects in areas such as support for individuals and families, workforce, innovative technology, youth with complex needs, and waiver modernization. Projects aim to improve community integration, independence, and quality of life for Ohioans with developmental disabilities.

This funding opportunity provides financial support to organizations and government entities in Indiana to implement programs that divert at-risk youth from the juvenile justice system through restorative justice and evidence-based practices.

Impact Projects grants support arts organizations for collaborations between local artist(s) and community members to develop and express their own creative and artistic goals and address a community-defined need. This program provides funding to rural Kansas communities with populations under 5,000 for projects that enhance quality of life, such as childcare improvements, public art, library upgrades, and food retail expansions.

This grant program is designed to respond to incidents of family violence, intimate partner stalking, domestic violence, and dating violence, and to develop and strengthen victim services in Maryland. Other organizations, such as community tree volunteer groups, neighborhood associations or civic groups which are not 501(c)3 organizations, are eligible but must apply in partnership with a non-profit organization or their local government. Project WINGS is an innovative program aimed at transforming electrical and gas transmission rights-of-ways into vibrant wildlife habitats within Georgia. By providing cash grants of up to $1,500 over three years, along with professional wildlife management advice, the program encourages landowners, leaseholders, hunting clubs, wildlife organizations, and government entities to manage these corridors for the benefit of both non-game and game species. Eligible rights-of-ways include those under Georgia Power, Georgia Transmission, MEAG Power, Savannah Electric, and AGL Resources. Common practices supported by the program include chemical control of exotic plants, planting of annual or perennial plants, and encouraging native vegetation through disking or mowing. Applications for the program are accepted annually from May 15 through July 15 at Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) offices. Grant renewed every year. The Infrastructure Grants, part of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture's Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure Program, aim to enhance the middle of the food supply chain through improved aggregation points, food processing infrastructure, and storage facilities. This grant supports projects that upgrade equipment, facilitate transition to licensed spaces, and expand storage capacities to boost local food production. Priority is given to projects that benefit underserved and veteran farmers, and socially disadvantaged individuals. However, the solutions are often more complicated than the construction of a new facility. Many factors need to be carefully analyzed to determine the feasibility for development of a child care center, expansion of an existing one or support for in-home providers. Through greater understanding of their geographic market, demographics, competition, financials, and other factors, communities can be armed with the information needed to take proactive steps towards addressing child care challenges. Funding from the program will empower communities to assess their current child care environment and develop strategies. The program, defined in Iowa Administrative Code, is administered by the Center for Rural Revitalization, a division of the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), in consultation with the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa Initiative Task Forces. Funding Information Grant Recipients will be awarded $20,000. Grant Period All project activities and incurred expenses must occur within the eligible contracted funding period of October 1, 2024 – June 30, 2026. Uses of funds  The program provides funding for planning initiatives addressing child care needs through a professional third party partner. Eligible Project Requirements Requirements for Rural Child Care Planning Grant awards include, but are not limited to the following: Applicants must demonstrate the capacity for grants administration. Applications must provide 1:1/2 cash match. Applications must agree to contract with a professional third-party partner for completion of the market study and strategic goals. Applicant communities must identify the third-party organization in their application that will conduct the planning process.  Eligibility Criteria Iowa businesses, colleges and universities, city or county government, federally tax-exempt nonprofit agencies and foundations Projects/programs must exist in and benefit a community in Iowa with a population of 20,000 or fewer and not contiguous to a city with a population of 40,000 or greater. The purpose of this Request for Applications (RFA) is to solicit applications from eligible Tribal Groups or Incorporated American Indian Associations for grants to operate American Indian Education Centers (AIEC) authorized by sections 33370 and 33380–33385 of the California Education Code (EC). It is anticipated that the Budget Act will allocate approximately $5.1 million for the fiscal year (FY) 2024-25. The California Department of Education (CDE) anticipates that similar amounts will be allocated for each year during this five-year cycle. This award is made contingent upon the availability of funds. If the Legislature takes action to reduce or defer the funding upon which this award is based, then this award will be amended accordingly. The AIEC grant funds may be used for any of the purposes specified in the authorizing legislation and the program regulations (California Code of Regulations, Title 5 [5 CCR], Section 11996) to promote the academic and cultural achievement of the students. The AIEC grant funds may be used, on the basis of established priority needs, to accomplish the following: • Improve the academic achievement of American Indian pupils in kindergarten and grades one to twelve, inclusive.• Improve the self-concept and sense of identity of American Indian pupils and adults.• Serve as a center for related community activities.• Provide individual and group counseling to pupils and adults related to personal adjustment, academic progress, and vocational planning.• Create and offer coordinated programs with the public schools.• Provide a focus for summer cultural, recreational, and academic experiences.• Create and offer adult classes and activities that benefit parents or guardians of pupils in its programs.• Provide training programs to develop pathways to college and the workplace for American Indian pupils.• Provide American Indian educational resource materials to pupils, their parents, and the schools they attend in order to ensure appropriate tribal histories and cultures is made available.

The focus of this RFP is to help growers transition away from non-selective, biologicallydisruptive pesticides, especially those of high regulatory concern. The BIFS program supportsthe demonstration, refinement, and outreach of SPM-based farming systems that areeconomically viable and protective of human health and the environment. All aspects of thefarming system may be considered as they relate to pest management, including factors such asadjacent landscapes, whether they are farmed or not. For the current solicitation, CDFA is prioritizing projects focusing on the following topic:• Dacthal (dimethyl tetrachloroterephthalate, DCPA) alternatives in Brassica and onioncrops• Neonicotinoid alternatives in tomato• Lygus management in cotton• Fumigant alternatives Projects will typically include all the following elements:1. On-farm demonstration/evaluation of an innovative, biologically based farming systemthat employs SPM strategies;2. A collaborative outreach effort for sharing technical information about the farmingsystem with growers, PCAs, commodity groups, and others engaged in pestmanagement, and;3. An organized program for monitoring key biological and economic variables to informon-farm decision making and evaluate project success. The BIFS application process will occur in two stages: 1) concept proposal submission and 2) fullproposal development. This RFP is to solicit concept proposals. After concept proposal reviewand scoring is complete, OPCA will select up to three applicants to develop full proposals, whichincludes a detailed workplan, budget, budget justification, and letters of support. We anticipatefunding one proposal at the full $1 million. Prior to full proposal development, OPCA scientistswill meet with the selected applicants to discuss reviewer comments as part of a pre-projectconsultation.
