The City of Wauchula is seeking applications for its Revitalization Grant Program to restore and improve commercial buildings within the Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency District in an effort to improve the area in ways that contribute to the physical, economic, social and aesthetic well-being of the City of Wauchula. The purposes for which the nonprofit agency is organized provides benefits to Seminole County residents. The services or activities to be provided by the nonprofit agency, and funded with County funds, shall address community needs. Agencies providing services identified in the Community Needs Assessment will receive priority funding. The nonprofit agency shall have a governing board whose members serve without compensation and have no conflict of interest between their regular occupations and the services provided by the nonprofit. The nonprofit agency has bylaws or policies which describe the manner in which business is conducted, including management, audit, and fiscal policies and procedures, polices on nepotism, and policies on management of potential conflict of interest. The nonprofit has at least one year’s experience providing the service or activity for which the funds are requested or can otherwise demonstrate to the satisfaction of the County sufficient expertise to successfully carry out the service or activity. The nonprofit must be licensed and accredited in accordance with applicable requirements of Federal, State and County laws. The nonprofit agency may not use a funding agency or other third-party arrangement to meet program requirements for eligibility. Awarded funding cannot make up more than twenty-five (25) percent of an agency expenditures based on the prior year’s IRS 990 form. If the request exceeds twenty-five (25) percent, agency may still be funded, however, maximum award will not exceed the twenty-five (25) percent. Nonprofit must provide the previous year’s fundraising plan and a statement on future fundraising efforts. Only one application per agency will be considered. Grants will be made only to nonprofit agencies whose programs and activities benefit the residents of Seminole County. Funding Information Applications up to $100,000 per agency are permitted for competitive funding, except that an agency may submit additional applications for programs that provide any of the following critical services: storage units for personal items belonging to homeless individuals; call centers to assist persons with the prevention of homelessness or to assist those who are already homeless, and discretionary funds for street outreach to homeless individuals and families. Grant Period Project funding cannot begin before October 1, 2024, nor extend beyond September 30, 2025. Eligibility Requirements All organizations applying to the City for funding shall comply with the following: Agencies that provide HOMELESS PREVENTION SERVICES and/or HOMELESS SERVICES. Programs must use a “housing first” and low barrier approach. Priority for funding will be given to programs which provide services to families with minor children; programs providing services to unaccompanied youth and/or youth aging out of foster care; programs which provide services to elderly over 62 years; programs providing services to chronically homeless living on the street as defined by HUD; programs providing services to veterans; programs which provide services to persons experiencing domestic violence; as well as homeless prevention/diversion services. There will be no bonus points for MATCH and SOLE SOURCE. All agencies must enter client data into the Pinellas Homeless Management Information System. (Notedomestic violence providers are the ONLY exceptions to this requirement). Services provided must be available to all residents in the City of St. Petersburg. The mission of organizations shall be to advance the health, economic, or social well-being of persons in need and who are homeless or are at-risk of becoming homeless. Agencies must make all program and financial information available and must permit on-site visits by staff and Committee members, if requested to do so. The Little Haiti Revitalization Trust is launching the Small Business Grant Program to support economic growth and revitalization in Little Haiti, Miami. The Trust will oversee and facilitate the city's revitalization efforts in line with the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. The program aims to stimulate employment, business growth, and investment within the Little Haiti boundaries. Eligible businesses can receive up to $20,000 for commercial improvements or $10,000 for innovation improvements, with a match option available. Funding can be used for various commercial improvements such as lighting, roofing, signage, ADA compliance, landscaping, and more. To qualify for funding, businesses must meet specific criteria including registration with the State of Florida before January 1, 2021; possession of a City of Miami-issued Certificate of Use; current status with Business Tax Receipt payments; operation within Little Haiti boundaries; and compliance with financial obligations to the City of Miami. Hurricane Recovery Grants are available for homeowners, renters, and business owners in Daytona Beach, Florida. Eligible residents with moderate or low income can receive up to $9,000 for reimbursement of costs such as mortgage payments, rent assistance, insurance deductibles, mold remediation (for owner-occupied homes), and relocation assistance. Applicants must be Daytona Beach residents, qualify as a "qualifying household," and submit a formal insurance or FEMA claim related to Hurricane Ian or Hurricane Nicole. The total amount of assistance shall not exceed $9,000 per household. Additionally, small businesses with 50 or fewer employees can receive up to $3,000 for reimbursement of business-related losses.

The Margate City Commission has launched the Property Improvement Grant Program (PIP) in Florida, offering a 50% reimbursement grant of up to $50,000 for commercial or multi-family properties, common areas, and building exteriors owned by condominium or homeowner associations. Additionally, the program provides a 50% reimbursement of up to $10,000 for improvements to single-family properties or multi-family (individually owned) homesteaded properties.

This program provides funding to neighborhood associations in Manatee County, Florida, to enhance community engagement and address local issues through resident-led projects.

The Seminole County is accepting grant application for the Home-ARP Program. Volusia County has U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing (RUSH) funds available for implementation of eligible rapid re-housing programs under the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) written standards.
