The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for an evaluation project that contributes to building a portfolio of evidence regarding inclusive human rights in Ukraine. In support of this goal, DRL seeks to promote the use of sound data and generate findings on what works, for whom, and why in democracy and human rights programming abroad. Projects should support the following objective: the rights of marginalized, underserved, and at-risk individuals in Ukraine are recognized and respected within a democracy, rights, and good governance framework.

With this solicitation, BJS seeks to administer the Bureau of Justice Statistics Statistical Support Program (BJS-SSP). The primary aim of the BJS-SSP is to provide statistical and methodological support for existing and new data collections. BJS collects, analyzes, publishes, and disseminates information on policing, prosecution, courts, institutional corrections, community supervision, and victimization. The BJS-SSP will support efforts to expand the agencys capacity to collect, analyze, and report criminal justice data, increasing the breadth of substantive issues.

The Portland Office of Violence Prevention's 2024-2025 Safer Portland Grant is an opportunity to help reduce gun violence through community-based prevention efforts. Who should apply? The 2024-2025 grant prioritizes efforts in the following Portland neighborhoods, including: Cully; Hazelwood; Eliot; Powellhurst-Gilbert; and/or Areas known for high rates of gun violence. This program provides for the development, operation, and management of a training and technical assistance (TTA) program for justice-focused community-based organizations directly serving communities disproportionately impacted by crime, violence, and victimization. The TTA provider will facilitate the delivery of national-scale, high-quality TTA to increase the administrative, financial, and programmatic capacity of justice-focused community-based organizations designed to primarily serve historically marginalized and underserved communities, including rural communities; increase awareness of OJP funding opportunities to targeted organizations and provide skill-building and other TTA to support the ability for these organizations to apply for and maintain OJP funding, if received; improve the quality of their programming and service delivery; and build support for their infrastructure and administrative and financial controls to successfully meet OJP program goals and objectives to strengthen their role as coproducers of safety and justice.
