The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is proud to support the nations arts sector with grant opportunities so that together we can help everyone live more artful lives. The arts contribute to our individual well-being, the well-being of our communities, and to our local economies. The arts are also crucial to helping us make sense of our circumstances from different perspectives as we emerge from the pandemic and plan for the future. Grants for Arts Projects is our largest grants program for organizations, providing comprehensive and expansive funding opportunities for communities. Through project-based funding, the program supports opportunities for public engagement with the arts and arts education, for the integration of the arts with strategies promoting the health and well-being of people and communities, and for the improvement of overall capacity and capabilities within the arts sector. We welcome applications from a variety of eligible organizations, including first-time applicants; from organizations serving rural, urban, suburban, and tribal communities of all sizes; and from organizations with small, medium, or large operating budgets. An organization may submit only one application under these FY2025 Grants for Arts Projects guidelines. If an organization applies to the Challenge America category, it may not also apply to the Grants for Arts Projects category. The National Endowment for the Arts support of a project may start on or after June 1, 2024. Generally, a period of performance of up to two years is allowed.

This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations that create innovative programs or services for children under 18 with special needs, acute illnesses, or chronic disabilities.

This funding opportunity provides financial support for collaborative geologic mapping projects aimed at identifying and assessing critical mineral resources across the United States, benefiting researchers, state agencies, and organizations involved in geology and natural resource management.

This funding opportunity supports interdisciplinary research centers focused on understanding and addressing alcohol use disorders and their related health impacts across diverse populations.

This funding opportunity provides up to $1.25 million per year for five years to research centers focused on advancing interdisciplinary studies related to alcohol use disorder, including prevention, treatment, and health disparities, while promoting diversity in research and community education.

The Healing and Response Teams Special Initiative (Assistance Listing # 16.029) was created in response to recommendations made by the Not Invisible Act Commission (NIAC). This special initiative will support the creation, training, and sustainability of Healing and Response Teams (HRT) using a Tribal-based model of care to respond to Missing or Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) cases related to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and sex trafficking. Within the first nine (9) months of the project, in coordination with OVW, the recipient will identify, make subawards to, and collaborate with three subrecipients acting as pilot sites.

This funding opportunity is designed to support organizations conducting rigorous evaluations of effective prevention strategies for intimate partner violence and sexual violence, particularly those that have been successfully implemented in communities for at least two years.

The United States Marine Highway Program (USMHP), codified at 46 U.S.C. 55601, was originally established by Section 1121 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 to reduce landside congestion through the designation of Marine Highway Routes. The USMHP statute authorizes the U.S. Department of Transportation (Department or DOT) to make grants to implement Projects or components of Projects that 1) provide a coordinated and capable alternative to landside transportation; mitigate or relieve landside congestion; promote Marine Highway Transportation; or use vessels documented under 46 U.S.C. chapter 121; and 2) develop, expand, or promote Marine Highway Transportation or shipper use of Marine Highway Transportation.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to provide funding to communities to develop coordinated and comprehensive community-based approaches to help children and their families who are exposed to violence build resilience, restore their safety, heal their social and emotional wounds, and prevent future violence and delinquency. Funding can be used to develop and/or enhance support services for children exposed to violence to reduce the adverse impact of violence on youth, families, and communities, and to help family-serving organizations better recognize and help families at risk for exposure to violence.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Office of Challenge Programs is accepting applications for Graduate Education in the Humanities: A National Convening, a cooperative agreement to plan and host a national convening to evaluate the current state of graduate education in the humanities, to make recommendations for programs to prepare graduate students for a variety of humanities-related careers, and to develop a roadmap that articulates a strategic vision for graduate education in the humanities. The project will be funded through a combination of federal matching funds and related fundraising from non-federal third parties.

The purpose of this award is to help EXBS partners in the Western Hemisphere build capacity to implement and enforce strategic trade controls and related mechanisms (e.g., foreign direct investment screening regimes) to mitigate proliferation risks.

This NOFO seeks proposals from eligible applicants for activities to establish and operate a CHIPS Manufacturing USA Institute focused on digital twins with integrated physical assets and computational capabilities (digital assets) to tackle important semiconductor-industry manufacturing challenges. The CHIPS Manufacturing USA Institute will join an existing network of seventeen Institutes designed to increase U.S. manufacturing competitiveness and promote a robust R infrastructure. The Institute will manage a portfolio of Institute-led projects and competitively funded Member-led projects, including Education and Workforce Development (EWD) activities, basic and applied research, and technology demonstrations.

This grant provides financial support to non-profit organizations serving Linn County, Iowa, to develop innovative programs or sustain ongoing initiatives that benefit the community.

This track of the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure (RFSI) program provides approximately $1 million for grants aimed at purchasing equipment necessary for the middle of the food supply chain activities in Vermont. The grants range from $30,000 to $100,000 with no match requirement. Applications for this track are set to open in late August 2024 and close in early October 2024, with grant activities beginning in early 2025.

The Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure (RFSI) program, funded by the USDA, allocates approximately $2 million for infrastructure grants to Vermont businesses and organizations aiming to strengthen local and regional food systems. The grants support projects that improve the aggregation, distribution, manufacturing, processing, storing, transporting, and wholesaling of Vermont food products. This track encourages development of Vermont value-added products and promotes fair wages and job creation. A 50% match is required, which can be reduced to 25% for historically underserved farmers. Grants range from $100,000 to $500,000 and are available from fall 2024 through February 2027.

Competitions in This Notice: The IES National Center for Education Research (NCER) is announcing two competitions--one competition in each of the following areas: using longitudinal data to support State education policymaking and transformative research in the education sciences. Using Longitudinal Data to Support State Education Policymaking (ALN 84.305S). Under this competition, NCER will only consider applications that address State agencies use of their States education longitudinal data systems to identify and reduce opportunity and achievement gaps for learners from prekindergarten through adult education. Transformative Research in the Education Sciences (ALN 84.305T). Through this program, IES seeks to support innovative research that has the potential to make dramatic advances towards solving seemingly intractable problems and challenges in the education field and/or to accelerate the pace of conducting education research to facilitate major breakthroughs. For the FY 2025 competition, the Transformative Research in the Education Sciences grant program will focus on accelerating learning and reducing persistent education inequities by leveraging evidence-based principles from the learning sciences, coupled with advanced technology to create high-reward, scalable technology solutions. Multiple Submissions: You may submit applications to more than one of the FY 2025 research grant programs offered through the Department, including those offered through IES as well as those offered through other offices and programs within the Department. You may submit multiple applications to each IES grant program announced here as long as they address different key issues, programs, or policies. However, you may submit a given application only once for the IES FY 2025 grant competitions, meaning you may not submit the same application or similar applications to multiple grant programs within IES, to multiple topics within a grant competition, or multiple times within the same topic. If you submit multiple similar applications, IES will determine whether and which applications will be accepted for review and/or will be eligible for funding. This funding opportunity provides financial support for organizations to evaluate and implement overdose prevention strategies targeting communities disproportionately affected by substance use disorders and overdose deaths.

This funding opportunity supports community-led research initiatives aimed at developing and evaluating prevention strategies for intimate partner violence and sexual violence in high-risk communities, particularly among marginalized groups.

This funding opportunity supports research to implement and evaluate a fall prevention program for older adults in assisted living facilities, particularly targeting vulnerable populations at higher risk of falls.

USDA/FAS will accept applications for projects in the following priority countries: Angola, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Laos, Malawi, and Rwanda. Of these, Angola and El Salvador are countries that do not currently have active McGovern-Dole projects. Applicants are advised to refer to Appendix B: Country Specific Guidance for country-specific information on program emphasis and agency priorities. USDA/FAS will also accept applications for non-priority countries; however, it will prioritize funding applications for the identified priority countries. McGovern-Dole projects are implemented in low-income, food-deficit countries globally.
