The initiative aims to support ongoing statewide collective impact efforts and implementation of three Veteran initiatives focused on ending Veteran homelessness, assisting with employment barriers, and providing a pathway to higher levels of care for Veterans. The grant will provide financial and technical assistance to support homeless Veterans in Maricopa County and throughout the state, as well as facilitate collaborations with new partners to serve Veterans in need. Project Objectives: - Host the Maricopa County StandDown, serving over 2,000 homeless and at-risk Veterans annually. - Provide financial assistance for bridge housing or mitigation throughout the year in Maricopa County. - Provide financial and technical assistance to 11 StandDowns throughout the state. - Assist Veterans with obtaining employment through referrals from employment service providers. - Lead a multi-agency team to ensure programmatic goals are met for homeless Veterans. This program provides funding to state, local, tribal, and territorial governments to implement projects that reduce future disaster risks following federally declared disasters.

This program provides funding for projects that protect and restore California's forests, benefiting local communities, wildlife, and water resources.

This funding opportunity provides financial assistance to rural communities and nonprofit organizations for repairing and improving water infrastructure damaged by federally declared disasters in 2022.

Subject to the availability of funds, awards made under this NOFO will help communities and regions devise and implement long-term economic recovery strategies through a variety of non-construction and construction projects, as appropriate, to address economic challenges in areas where a Presidential declaration of a major disaster was issued under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq.) (Stafford Act) as a result of Hurricanes Ian and Fiona, and of wildfires, flooding, and other natural disasters occurring in calendar years 2021 and 2022. HCCF Launches Emergency Grant Round to Support Community Organizations In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Huron County Community Foundation (HCCF), in partnership with the Greater Huron County United Way, is providing emergency assistance funding to local organizations that are going above and beyond their typical operations to assist the community during this time. These grants can be used for operations costs, which is typically not a qualified grant per HCCF policies. We know that many food pantries/food banks are feeding more people, food delivery services have been enacted to feed school children who are at home, and numerous other groups have stepped up to fill gaps and support our citizens. Our goal is to “help the helpers”. The funding for these grants is made possible by a generous contribution from Meijer to the United Way and the Health and Medical endowment funds at HCCF.

The Disaster Response & Resilience Fund supports charitable organizations in Humboldt, Trinity, Del Norte, and Curry counties, as well as adjoining Tribal lands during current and future disasters, including fires, earthquakes, flooding, and other natural and man-made disasters. This fund is unable to support requests for individuals and families. During an active emergency, the fund prioritizes requests that are in response to the applicable disaster and requests that are addressing the immediate needs and safety of the most vulnerable.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) seeks applications to fund safety and security projects at nonprofit organizations at risk of hate crimes or attacks because of their ideology, beliefs, or mission. Approximately $25 million to $60 million is expected to be made available to fund approximately 125-300 projects throughout New York State. Should additional funding become available, DCJS intends to meet as much of the requested needs as possible. Applications will be accepted for up to $200,000 per organization. Each eligible organization may submit one (1) application for one or more physical security enhancements and/or cybersecurity enhancements. Organizations can submit for different types of enhancements within their application (e.g., locks and alarm system) so long as the total requested by the organization is equal to, or less than, $200,000. Organizations may submit applications for projects at facilities that have received any prior SCAHC funding if the proposed project is different than any previously funded projects or builds upon or enhances the security measures previously undertaken. All funding must support project related costs that will be incurred during the contract period. Funding under this program must supplement, not supplant, non-grant funds that would otherwise be available.
