Loans are prioritized for projects that fill gaps in California's circular economy and demonstrate innovative reduction, reuse, recycling, or remanufacturing of materials. Eligible Applicants: - Private, for-profit entities - Nonprofit organizations (except private schools) - Local government entities (cities, counties, cities and counties) - Regional or local sanitation agencies, waste agencies, and joint powers authority Eligibility Criteria: - Projects must be located within a CalRecycle designated RMDZ or benefit a local jurisdiction in complying with Public Resources Code section 40051. - Loan applicants must demonstrate the ability to repay the loan. - Loan amount may not exceed $3 million without Director approval. - Collateral is required. - Business and/or personal guarantees may be required based on financial ability to repay. - Significant permits approval is required before loan funding. Use of Funds: Private entities and nonprofit organizations can use loan funds for machinery/equipment, working capital, real estate purchase/leasehold improvements/capital improvements, and refinancing onerous debt. Local government entities can use loan funds for infrastructure and/or capital improvements in support of private entities and nonprofit organizations engaged in value-added processing or manufacturing using recycled materials. The State of Arizona, USDA Forest Service and DOI Bureau of Land Management are expected to provide funding assistance to the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management for fire prevention, critical infrastructure protection and forest and watershed restoration through reduction of hazardous vegetation from state, federal, tribal and private lands in Arizona. Total funding of approximately $3 million will be made available through sub-awards (grants) from DFFM on a reimbursement basis and awarded through a competitive process with emphasis on community protection and forest health. Multiple awards not exceeding $500,000 are expected. Organizations may submit more than one project application, but total funding may be limited to $500,000. Priority will be given to projects that support private industry and/or Arizona’s wood products industry. Priority will be given to projects that have not received prior treatments. Financial Notes: Total funding of approximately $3 million will be made available through sub-awards (grants) from the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management on a reimbursement basis and awarded through a competitive process with emphasis on community protection and forest health. Awards will be limited to a minimum of $60,000 and maximum of $500,000 per project. Depending on total available funding, some projects may be offered only partial funding. All projects will require a 10% - 30% match contribution (ie: 90% Grant + 10% Match = 100% Project Total). Match source must be identified in the project application. Larger requests will require larger match contributions.  Priority will be given to projects that support private industry and/or Arizona’s wood products industry. Coastal Resilience Grant (CRG) Program Guidelines A. Purpose The CRG funding opportunity supports projects that: Build capacity, Advance planning, and Develop designs to increase coastal resilience, including community and/or habitat resilience, in one or more of New Hampshire’s Coastal Zone communities. Coastal Zone communities include: Dover, Durham, Exeter, Greenland, Hampton, Hampton Falls, Madbury, New Castle, Newfields, Newington, Newmarket, North Hampton, Portsmouth, Rollinsford, Rye, Seabrook, and Stratham. B. Eligible Applicants and Project Categories Eligible Applicants: Coastal municipalities, Quasi-governmental organizations, Non-governmental organizations, Academic institutions, and State agencies. Preference given to lead applicant organizations with no prior CRG awards. Preferred Project Approaches: Minimize negative impacts to environmental resources. Focus on coalition-building, cultural heritage preservation, environmental justice, inclusive access, and protecting/restoring natural coastal resources. Collaboratively-develop goals, purpose, work plan, products, and outcomes. Achieve fair distribution of benefits and burdens, prioritizing those with the highest need. Eligible Project Categories: Building Capacity Projects: Increase community resilience through network building, knowledge enhancement, and resource access. The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), established by Congress in 1965 and administered by the National Park Service, provides 1:1 matching financial grants to state and local governments for the acquisition and development of public outdoor recreational areas and facilities. The program is fully funded by revenues from offshore oil and gas leases. The State of New Hampshire, through its Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, distributes these grants to eligible sub-units of government following the federal guidelines which include the development of a Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) and coordination by the State Liaison Officer. The 35th grant round is currently open, with Intent-to-Apply forms due by June 7, 2024. Eligible project types include development of new or existing facilities, acquisition of land for public recreation, or a combination of both. Funding requests must be between $50,000 and $500,000, with total project costs at least double the requested grant amount, as the program requires a 50% match from sponsors.
