Arizona Grants

The Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona is offering Innovative Grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 for one year to tax-exempt organizations and government entities, aiming to fund projects that promote community health and wellness through innovative solutions and collaborations, with a focus on addressing various aspects of community wellbeing and resilience.

The primary purpose of the LOFFAP is to provide a source of funding for landowners and lessees of a livestock operation who require reconstruction assistance as a result of infrastructure damage caused by a wildfire and that wildfire's associated flooding. The Manual is designed to assist applicants with the preparation of applications for grant monies from the LOFFAP FY 2024 grant cycles.  Section I of the Manual provides general information on the AZDA’s LOFFAP granting process.  Section II contains information describing how to complete a grant application.  Section III contains information on the process of grant awards and Grant Agreements.  Section IV contains all necessary grant application forms and instructions.  Section V contains appendices A – E.   Financial Notes: The source of funding for LOFFAP is the Livestock Operator Fire and Flood Assistance Fund, established under A.R.S. § 3-109.03. The legislature has appropriated $10,000,000.00 to the Fund, of which an amount of $9,500,000.00 will be available for grant awards. Multiple grants may be awarded. Grant of LOFFAP funds is limited as follows: a. No more than 50% of the monies in the Fund may be awarded with respect to infrastructure projects in any one county in one fiscal year. b. A grant cannot exceed 50% of the total cost of the grantee’s infrastructure project cost as a result of that wildfire’s associated flooding, including all amounts received from other sources, whether from the grantee or from other state and federal programs.  Grantees will be required to sign a consent to allow sharing of information between AZDA and other state and federal programs.  Sources of other funding include but are not limited to: i. Under a federal disaster declaration, the following could be sources of financial assistance: • Individual Assistance • Small Business Administration c. A grant cannot exceed an aggregate of $250,000 for damage caused to a livestock operation as a result of a single wildfire and that wildfire’s associated flooding.         

This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations that serve youth, families, and seniors in Fountain Hills and nearby areas, helping them address community needs and enhance their impact.

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) Bureau of  Nutrition and Physical Activity (BNPA) administers funds provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the operation of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Program (BFPC) for the State of Arizona. The USDA nutrition programs are discretionary, and each provides a specific service to women, infants, and children who are low-income and at nutritional risk. The overall goal of all the USDA Nutrition Programs is to increase food security and reduce hunger by providing eligible participants access to nourishing food and supportive nutrition education. ADHS is working with the counties to provide WIC services, and this opportunity is to provide additional community support as needed.  Financial Notes: N/A

The subrecipient shall access the current utilization of CHWs in the State of Arizona. The subrecipient shall use results to inform and develop a statewide CHW workforce development plan to expand CHW curricula, training delivery, career ladders, integration of CHWs, promotion of CHW voluntary certification, and/or sustainable payment mechanisms for CHW services. Financial Notes: Funds for the Clinical Health Worker (CHW) Sustainability come from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), A Strategic Approach to Advancing Health Equity for Priority Populations with or at Risk for Diabetes (Part A) CDC-RFA-DP-23-0020 grant (230020).

The Prop 302 Maricopa County Marketing Grant Program provides funding to municipalities/destination marketing organizations (DMOs) to promote tourism in Maricopa County. Financial Notes: Each eligible applicant's award will be calculated based on DOR percentages for lodging and rental car revenues generated within the eligible applicant's municipality. Once awarded, a projected award will be provided. AOT will provide an updated projection at the mid-year. Awards are provided in 12 monthly installments. Please note, that due to the nature of these funds, the final award amount may be less or more than the original projection.

Notice of funding availability - Arizona Automobile Theft Authority - FY25 Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force Annual Grant funding for the Arizona Department of Public Safety to administer the statewide Vehicle Theft Task Force. Grant applications require the approval of the AATA Board of Directors on June 21, 2024 - 10am. The BLM Arizona Cultural Heritage Partnership Program (CHPP) supports projects advancing the Department of Interior's priorities, including addressing the climate crisis, restoring balance on public lands, advancing environmental justice, and investing in a clean energy future. Projects should focus on public archaeology education, the development of educational programs, repatriation of Native American remains, and cultural resource inventory. Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, non-profits, state and local governments, and Indian tribal governments. The program aims to support projects that use science, data, and traditional knowledge to enhance economic opportunities for communities of color, low-income families, and rural and indigenous communities.

Artist Opportunity Grants (AOGs) support Arizona artists as they take advantage of specific, unique opportunities that have the potential to significantly impact their professional growth. If your full project timeline starts before or ends after the funding period, you are still eligible to apply and should articulate the full timeline in your application, but should only request and use grant funds for project activities taking place within the funding period. Wavemaker Arts Grants are available to arts non-profit organizations providing inclusive arts and culture programming in Tempe (501c3 status required). The Community Arts Grants Program supports a commitment to advancing Tempe as a vibrant and progressive community for cultural and artistic activity, and aims to fulfill the following recommendations from the Arts and Culture Plan: Increase and promote Community-Initiated Arts projects Support community festivals celebrating cultural diversity Continue, expand and enhance informal arts programming provided in community settings Amount: Up to $10,000 – no match required Deadline: July 1, 2024 How to Apply: All applicants are required to meet with Maja Aurora, Community Arts Manager, before completing the application. The Vibrant City Arts Grants offered by the Community Arts Grants Program in Tempe are designed to support artist collectives, cultural groups, and arts organizations that engage in inclusive arts and culture programming. This initiative is aimed at making Tempe a vibrant hub for artists and a nucleus for diverse community creativity. Grant Details: Amount: Up to $2,500, no matching funds required. Application Deadline: Cycle 1: July 1, 2024, for projects from September 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. Cycle 2: December 16, 2024, for projects from February 1 to June 30, 2025. Project Requirements: Projects must take place in Tempe. Funding can cover artist services, professional fees, stipends, materials, production costs, venue rentals, catering, and marketing. Possible Projects: Performances Artist residencies and workshops Arts events Eligibility Criteria: Open to artist collectives, cultural groups, and arts organizations providing arts programming in Tempe. Applicants can only receive one grant per year (September 1 - June 30). Restrictions: No funding for activities outside Tempe, organizations with budgets over $100,000, fully virtual events, infrastructure enhancements, construction, debt reduction, school-based projects, or religious-themed projects. Applicants who previously failed to submit a final report for a funded project are ineligible.

This grant provides financial support for Arizona's retail florists to attend out-of-state educational and design events in the floral industry.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Foundation for Community & Health Advancement is seeking applications for its Mental Health Matters Grant Program. Local First Arizona’s We Rise business accelerator is a new, no-fee six-month program offering comprehensive and practical business skills to Arizona’s Black entrepreneurs. The We Rise business accelerator exposes start-up or experienced businesses that are missing fundamental components of entrepreneurship to the nuts and bolts needed to build a successful business in Arizona’s economy. Classes will be through remote learning. Eligibility Criteria The following are criteria for individuals interested in applying for the We Rise business accelerator: Self identifies as a Black-owned business. Must be 18+. A Black American entrepreneur with some experience of running a business. The prospective candidate must have some knowledge of entrepreneurship but needs assistance with the fundamentals of establishing or growing a business such as creating a business plan, registering their business, etc. Business owner(s) must be available bi-weekly to attend class. Eligibility Criteria Open to arts organizations that meet all the following eligibility criteria at the time of application: Tax-exempt 501(c)(3), or charitable arts organizations that are in good standing with the IRS and federally recognized Indian tribal governments are eligible to receive funds. Pima County arts organizations may apply with a Fiscal Sponsor that is in good standing with the IRS and federally recognized Indian tribal governments, in order to receive funds. (Fiscally sponsored organizations outside Pima County are not eligible to apply, due to restrictions from funding source). Reside and provide services in counties and regions south of the Gila River. This includes Pima, Santa Cruz and Cochise counties and southern portions of Pinal, Yuma, Greenlee, Graham, Maricopa County and/or Native Sovereign Nations of Ak-Chin Indian Community, Sovereign Nation of the Cocopahs, Quechan Tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation, Gila River Indian Community, Pascua Yaqui Tribe, Tohono O’odham Nation, San Carlos Apache Nation. Previous Grantees must be current and in compliance with all reporting to the Arts Foundation. Grantees will be required to create a profile for the Arts and Culture Directory within one month of receiving the award letter Grantees will be required to have an active SAMs Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number to accept the award and receive funds. Grantees will be required to submit a current W9 IRS form Grantees will be required to create a free Bill.com account to receive payment. Grantees will be required to complete a Risk Assessment by submitting a Selfcertification to ensure the organization is not disbarred, suspended, nor have any other exclusions or disqualifications. Grantees will be required to provide documentation of good standing; IRS determination as 501(c)3; the most recent 990, within one month of receiving the award letter. Grantees will be required to disclose in writing any potential conflicts of interest that may be present when conducting funded activities. Grantees will be required to submit a final report to the Arts Foundation 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) after the end of the funding period to document expenses and provide a brief description of programming.
