Program Description: EDA makes planning and local technical assistance investments to support economic development, foster job creation, and attract private investment in economically distressed areas of the United States. Under the Planning program, EDA makes Partnership Planning, Short-Term Planning, and State Planning awards to eligible recipients to create and implement regional economic development plans designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of an area or region. More specifically, EDA makes Partnership Planning investments to designated planning organizations (i.e., District Organizations) serving EDA-designated Economic Development Districts and to Indian Tribes to facilitate the development, implementation, revision, or replacement of Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS), which articulate and prioritize the strategic economic goals of recipients respective regions. EDA also makes Short-Term and State Planning awards for economic development planning activities that guide the eventual creation and retention of high-quality jobs, particularly for the unemployed and underemployed in the Nations most economically distressed regions. Under the Local Technical Assistance program, EDA makes awards to strengthen the capacity of local or State organizations, institutions of higher education, and other eligible entities to undertake and promote effective economic development programs through projects such as feasibility studies, impact analyses, disaster resiliency plans, and project planning. *Please note: While the published Notice of Funding Opportunity (available under "Related Documents") states that the ED900A form and the SF424B form are both required for a complete application, these forms are no longer required and have therefore been removed from the package template.

The IMPACT Bucks grant is designed to support nonprofits that are committed to creating safe, healthy, and thriving communities by improving economic self-sufficiency and opportunity for socially and/or economically disadvantaged people. Each partner is contributing equally to the IMPACT grant, providing a $75,000 grant award opportunity. BCF seeks grants that work to: Identify community concerns and interests and initiate creative approaches to addressing these needs. Promote solutions that address the causes of community problems, with emphasis on supporting underserved and disadvantaged people. Encourage innovative projects that favor collaborative efforts among community groups or organizations, to address unmet needs. Respect individual concerns in seeking community solutions. Eligibility Criteria Nonprofits whose Bucks County client population equals or exceeds more than 50% of their total client population are eligible to apply. Further, applicants must be exempt under Section 501(c)(3) and classified in Section 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. Proposed projects must directly support Bucks County. The Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission invites area non-profit organizations and K-12 schools to submit proposals for annual arts grants. Donor Name: Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission State: Pennsylvania City: Bethlehem Type of Grant: Grant Deadline: 05/17/2024 Size of the Grant: $1000 to $10,000 Grant Duration: 1 Year Details: Funding Information A total of $3,000 is available for awards this year. The grants are to support projects (or arts-related activities) that will take place between June 1, 2024 and May 31, 2025. The grants are offered to encourage new works of art, educational programs, exhibits, presentations, performances, and other arts-related activities. Eligibility Criteria  Projects that are to take place primarily in Bethlehem. Registered 501(c)(3) or non-profit organizations and K-12 schools. Organizations and schools that are arts-related or that propose a project that is arts-related in fulfillment of its mission. One proposal from an organization or school per funding cycle. Proposals to fund new works of art, educational programs, exhibits, presentations, performances, and other arts-related activities.  [Proposals to fund capital campaigns, cover annual operating expenses, pay for the purchase of buildings, or reduce the organization’s acquired debt are not eligible.] Proposals for a portion of or for all of the stated available funds. Recipients of previous Fine Arts Commission grants are eligible to apply only if they submitted their required Final Report. The primary contact person of the organization or school.  Schools must include the name of their principal with their contact information. The organization or school’s mission statement. Documentation of the organization’s 501(c)(3) or non-profit status (except schools). Beneficiaries of the proposed project. The purpose and objectives of the project and how they relate to the organization or school’s mission. What the project consists of and how it will be carried out, including timelines. How the organization or school will acknowledge the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission’s support in programs, posters, press releases, and other forms of publicity.
