Grantees will be evaluated on one or more of the following measures: Number of unduplicated residents served. Grantees will submit a record of unduplicated residents/clients served. Description of collaborative work with other organizations. Grantees will be required to document how collaboration with other entities affects operations and programming. Environment In 2024, the Community Impact Fund will support the environment by funding organizations and programs that address environmental stewardship and/or education. Nature education, energy and water conservation, land stewardship, wildlife protection, recycling and repurposing, and maintaining dark skies are all priorities that will be considered. Grantees will be evaluated on one or more of the following measures: Number of unduplicated residents served. Grantees will submit a record of unduplicated residents/clients served. Number of acres or geographical areas affected by the grant. Grantees will be required to document the geographical areas its funding affected. Economic and environmental impact. Where appropriate, supported organizations will document the economic impact and the environmental impact of the grant. Youth Development  In 2024, the Community Impact Fund will support the next generation by funding organizations and programs that work with children and youth, from birth through age 21. Grantees will be evaluated on one or more of the following measures: Number of unduplicated children and youth served. Grantees will submit a record of unduplicated children/youth served. The quality of the safe and/or supportive environment. Grantees will be required to document where and how they create, provide, and/or maintain a safe and/or supportive environment for children and youth. The levels of interaction and engagement for young people. Where appropriate, supported organizations will document ways children and youth are encouraged to interact, engage, and build life or work skills. Types of Support  Applicant organizations should decide whether to apply for general operating support or for program support; either type of request is eligible for the Community Impact Fund. Requests should not exceed more than $15,000. General Operating Support is unrestricted funding. Organizations may use the funds for administrative purposes, to meet monthly obligations, to support programming, pay salaries, or to meet other organizational needs. For general operating support requests, organizations must submit a current strategic plan that covers two or more years of operations. Program Support is funding for a specific program of an organization. Funds can be used for any element of the program’s budget. For program support requests, organizations must submit a program budget.  Eligibility Criteria  Applicants must: Be located in or providing services to residents in Bandera, Blanco, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Mason, Real, or Uvalde counties. Be classified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit by the Internal Revenue Service. Have a minimum of 12 months of operating history after 501(c)(3) determination. Demonstrate that 100% of the applicant organization’s Board of Directors have given to the applicant organization during the last completed fiscal year. Farm implements or machinery. Addition or acquisition of new inventory or raw materials. Purchase and installation of fixtures or display units. Eligible businesses must satisfy all of the following conditions: Existing rural, woman-owned businesses (at least 51% directly owned and controlled by one or more women who are U.S. citizens). The business owner must reside in Texas. The business must currently be set up as a legal business entity. The business must be a for-profit corporation, partnership, LLP or LLC, or sole proprietorship. Not-for-profit corporations or similar nonprofit entities are not eligible. If the business or business owner owns the premises where the business operates, all property taxes must be current. All sales, payroll, and other taxes must be current. The business must be located and operated within an eligible Texas County. The business, business owner and the applicant must not be involved in any pending or current litigation. The business owner must not have any felonies or convictions for a crime of dishonesty or breach of trust. Previous grant winners cannot apply. The business must be in one of the eligible rural counties in Texas. The business, business owner and applicant are operating with all required permits and licenses and are conforming to all required laws. Grant Requirements  The successful applicant will receive two installments of the award: $2,500 after signing the grant agreement, a photo release and all required paperwork for payment. $2,500 following completion of a small business training course hosted by the Center for Women Entrepreneurs, 3 hours of small business advising/mentoring and submission and approval of a completed business plan with three years of financials. Additionally, itemized receipts or proof of purchases made with initial grant funds of $2,500 (costs must have been incurred after receiving grant funding) must be provided to CWE to receive the remaining $2,500. The City of Denton supports critical homeless response tools that strengthen the county-wide Housing Crisis Response System. This RFA implements program activities set forth in the Texas General Appropriations Act (GAA), Article VII-49, Rider 50, 88th Texas Legislature, Regular Session (2023). The GAA includes the following requirements: 1) the number of persons served by a qualifying entity in the program year must be no fewer than seven hundred (700) unique individuals; 2) the number of persons served by a qualifying entity who have obtained Regular Employment at or above one hundred and twenty-five percent (125%) of federal poverty income guidelines must be no less than fifty percent (50%) of the total number of individuals returned to the workforce; and 3) the number of employers who will commit to hiring individuals upon exit of the program must be no fewer than one hundred (100) employers.

TWC is committed to improving access to quality child care across the state of Texas. This RFA seeks Applicants to foster sustainable career pathways that increase the availability of qualified Early Childhood Educators through the development of RAPs, which combines OJL with related classroom instruction. RAPs have been expanding into more nontraditional occupations, including early childhood education in the form of child care RAPs. Child care RAPs will assist in improving the education and training that Early Childhood Educators receive, thus allowing them to improve their understanding of child development and improve the quality of child care. High quality training and supports for Early Childhood Educators are important to the child care field.

This grant provides funding to law enforcement agencies to cover travel costs for peace officers attending Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). The funding aims to enhance the response capabilities of peace officers to active shooter and attack situations. The program supports overtime, travel expenditures, and training stipends for participating agencies and is open to law enforcement agencies operated by school districts, higher education institutions, local government units, and other educational entities employing peace officers. Training must comply with ALERRT's standards, and funds are allocated based on various eligibility criteria, including compliance with cybersecurity and UCR data reporting, adherence to federal and state immigration enforcement requirements, participation in the DPS Sexual Assault Evidence Tracking System, registration in the SAM database with a UEI number, and reporting of convictions to the DPS. The program prohibits the use of funds for indirect costs unrelated to travel and overtime for ALERRT training.
