The FY23-24 Drone Replacement Program is funded by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to assist agencies in replacing non-compliant drones with those from approved manufacturers. The program was established following the 2022 amendment of Section 934.50, Florida Statutes, mandating agencies using non-compliant drones to replace them by specific deadlines. Eligible agencies will receive funds based on the initial purchase price and total flight hours of the non-compliant drones, following a detailed depreciation schedule. Recipients are required to relinquish the non-compliant drones in working condition to FDLE, which will then be analyzed by the Florida Center for Cybersecurity at the University of South Florida. The Florida Department of State is seeking applications for its Cultural Facilities Grant. It is intended for organizations whose mission is arts and cultural programming in one of the disciplines. The Division offers two levels of funding within the Cultural Facilities Program. These levels are determined by the specific use of the facility: A purpose-built or single use facility that will solely be used for the programming, production, presentation, exhibition of any of the arts and cultural disciplines (Section 265.283(7), Florida Statutes) at least 85% of the time. This type of facility includes theatres, performance centers, museums (including, aquariums, botanical gardens, history centers, zoos, etc.) and art centers. The maximum request amount for this type of facility is $500,000. A multi-purpose facility that will be used for the programming, production, presentation, exhibition of any of the arts and cultural disciplines (Section 265.283(7), Florida Statutes) less than 85% of the time. This type of building includes community centers, recreation centers, civic centers and municipal buildings. The maximum request amount for this type of facility is $200,000. Project costs must be directly related to the arts and cultural portion of the facility. Project Period 23 months. Eligibility Criteria The following conditions are required for eligibility. All documentation must be provided by the application deadline. Must not have multiple active Cultural Facilities projects under contract at one time. Cultural Facilities projects have a grant period of 23 months. Unless a grantee has a smaller project that will be completed in a single year, grantees should submit new applications every other year. Cultural Facilities is subject to Legislative appropriation and recommendations approved by the Secretary of State will be funded top-down until the appropriation is depleted. . Must use the facility to directly conduct arts and cultural programming. Documentation must be provided to support the percentage of facility use is for arts and cultural purposes as it pertains to the organization’s mission per section 265.283(1), Florida Statutes. Must have the required legal status. Must have unrestricted use of the land and buildings associated with the project which means you must be able to record a Restrictive Covenant on the property with the Clerk of Court for ten (10) years or provide a 10-year surety bond. Must retain ownership of all improvements made under the grant (unless the land or buildings are owned by the State of Florida and leased to an eligible applicant). If the property is leased, only facilities with leases in which the lessor is a public entity governed by either a municipality or county, or a not-for-profit entity are eligible for a Cultural Facilities grant (facilities or property owned by an individual or for-profit entity are not eligible for a Cultural Facilities grant). 9. If the property is leased, the lease agreement must be dated, signed by all parties, and submitted at the time of the application submission. 10. Must provide documentation of Total Support and Revenue for the last completed fiscal year. Must have appropriate matching funds and documentation at time of application submission. Must provide current architectural plans signed by a licensed architect or engineer clearly indicating scope of work. If architectural plans are not required for the completion of the project, contractor project proposals or working drawings must be provided. Must include budget estimate provided by the architect, engineer, or contractor that the Proposal Expense Details are based on. 3. Must have current project support of local officials (city and county government), community groups, and community members —for this project— documented in writing at time of application. Organizations with projects funded by the Legislature outside of the review of the Florida Council on Arts and Culture or Secretary of State are not eligible to receive Cultural Facilities grant support for the same Scope of Work from the Division of Arts and Culture within the same fiscal year in which legislative funding is appropriated. No organization may receive more than $1.5 million during a consecutive previous five state fiscal year period (July 1 – June 30). Legal Status To meet the legal status requirement, an applicant organization must be either a public entity or a Florida nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation as of the application deadline in accordance with section 265.701(2), Florida Statutes. The Doral Façade Improvement Grant Program provides financial assistance to businesses, homeowner associations and commercial property owners in Doral in order to stimulate private sector investment, beautification, economic growth and job creation in the City, by improving the appearance of the buildings within City boundaries. This grant provides financial support to animal welfare organizations and government agencies in select Florida counties for initiatives related to sheltering, spaying/neutering, and community education about animal care.

The Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2000 authorized the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) as a framework for modifications and operational changes to the Central and Southern Florida Project needed to restore the south Florida ecosystem. Provisions within WRDA 2000 provided for specific authorization for an adaptive assessment and monitoring program. The CEPP is a CERP project expected to provide an additional 370,000 acre-feet of freshwater to the Everglades annually. Freshwater fishes and invertebrates play a critical role at the base of the food chain within Everglades marshes, providing food to iconic apex predators like wading birds and alligators. Changes in water quantity and quality that influence freshwater fish and invertebrate assemblage structure directly influences wading bird ecology and ecosystem integrity of Everglades marshes. Monitoring of fishes and large invertebrates is necessary to track changes in water management associated with restoration projects both within Everglades National Park and upstream within the Water Conservation Areas. Long-term monitoring data are required to support assessment of the changes in water management. This project will conduct field sample collection, process samples, and data analyses and evaluate the long-term data set with regards to natural resource condition assessments. The CEPP Adaptive Management and Ecological Monitoring Plans identify the freshwater fish and macroinvertebrate communities as essential attributes of the ecosystem that need to be monitored to assess the influence of the CEPP and to confirm additional freshwater is improving the production and availability of aquatic fauna (fish and macroinvertebrates) to support higher tropic levels. This monitoring of aquatic fauna will inform CEPP Adaptive Management actions associated with CEPP performance in conjunction with other CERP projects and non-CERP operations. Program Description/Objective: (brief description of the anticipated work) The purpose of this research is to leverage a long-term dataset to monitor the status and trends of freshwater fish and macroinvertebrate populations at established sites within Water Conservation Area 3 (WCA3) in order to determine pre-CEPP implementation baseline conditions for aquatic fauna to inform CEPP Adaptive Management and Ecological Monitoring Plans The project objectives include: Objective 1: Collect samples to monitor status and trends of large (>8cm) and small (<8cm) freshwater fish and macroinvertebrate populations at 10-12 established sites in WCA3 up to 5 times intra-annually. Objective 2: Establish and report the baseline condition of aquatic faunal abundances and biomasses for future use in a Before, After, Control, Impact (BACI) assessment of CEPP project implementation. Objective 3: Demonstrate progress and present results in the form of quarterly status reports, annual reports, and a final report. Public Benefit This project will play a critical role in determining the effect of the CEPP on the aquatic fauna community in WCA3 and continue to build upon the knowledge base for understanding the ecology of the freshwater trophic community in the Greater Everglades ecosystem. Data collected will be used to inform the successful implementation of the CEPP and support the CERP in reaching its restoration goals and objectives. Understanding aquatic faunal dynamics within WCA3 is critical to assess and the effects of hydrologic changes associated with CEPP implementation, ecosystem restoration, and climate change which have potential impacts on the economy of South Florida, including tourism, recreational opportunities, and water management.

The Arts and Culture Access funding is designed to support the engagement of Orange County Public Schools students in the arts, which is associated with improvements in math, reading, cognitive abilities, critical thinking, verbal skills, motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork. This initiative facilitates students' development of these skills through field trips and in-school programs that are integrated into their class curriculum. The program welcomes applications year-round, with a primary funding decision period in late summer. Media that reaches audiences of both Tourists and those within St. Johns, Flagler, Putnam, Clay, Duval, and Nassau Counties is allowable to the extent that the advertising reaches out-of-area. Eligibility Criteria  Must be a not for profit 501©3 or other eligible not for profit organization Agency must provide mental health services in at least one of the following counties: Lee, Collier, Palm Beach Agency must provide direct services to clients Agency must have a non-discrimination policy The Uyeno Foundation reserves the right to deny applicants which have previously received grant funds from the Uyeno Foundation and have not complied with the terms of the grant contract. Peacock Foundation, Inc. provides grant support to nonprofit organizations in Florida for specific projects and general operations in areas including children/youth, elderly, programs for people with disabilities, arts for educational purposes, environmental education, health/hospitals, medical research, and human services. However, the foundation does not fund capital campaigns, construction or renovation projects, deficit financing or debt reduction, conferences or festivals, fundraising events or advertising, special events or athletic events, individuals, lobbying to influence legislation, or religious organizations unless engaged in a significant project benefiting the entire community.
